Hi @"Ruthless_Rabbit" There isnt a way to get Dropbox to 'see' that they have already been uploaded I'm afraid. Backup and 'normal' syncing are two totally different things 😞
-
How long ago did you delete them and did you downgrade them? If it was over 30 days they are unrecoverable now I'm afraid. Once you stop paying the deleted recovery window drops to 30 days. After that they are permanently removed - upgrading wont help.
-
You need to contact support via www.dropbox.com/support I'm afraid. Its not something you can resolve yourself.
-
I also cannot do it 😞

@"abhishek_mtb" wrote:OK, I shall ask and update you on this. Just as a reminder. They have to install on a unique desktop (or laptop) computer. Mobile devices wont count.
-
Hi @"at0605" Has your account downgraded yet? That needs to happen first
-
Dropbox wont have erased the files - it would have created a second \Dropbox directory. You probably didnt notice initially as it would have downloaded/populated again from the web so it would LOOK like it had everything. In fact though you'd have had 2 copies. There isnt a notification as such to say its stopped syncing,…

It wont be possible to do that @"Sandile_ndawonde" - once an account is deleted its permanently deleted immediateley. Business accounts that still have an account running (i.e. the owner cancels somebody within the business but still pays the licence fee) can recover for 7 days, but, after that its not possible. Also, once…

Do you know which file is the issue @"cristiandj81" ? If so drag it out of Dropbox, let it complete the sync and then return it and see if that works.
-
Hi @"jpthurston" Unfortunately unless you tell Dropbox when you install, or, it detects Dropbox installs it will create a new directory. As they are not in the Dropbox folder and not sync'd to Dropbox (I assume nothing was showing at www.dropbox.com/events) it isnt possible to get them back - they were wiped when you wiped…

What does Dropbox say if you mouse over its icon on the status bar of the machine not syncing properly. Is it giving errors etc.?
-
Has the other people accepted the link and added it to their own Dropbox accounts? They'll need to have an account with enough space to be able to accept the folder to do so. Once they do that then I believe it'll show up on the page for you as part of the Share 🙂
-
If it says link disabled then the link has been removed - possibly via Dropbox if its deemed against the T&Cs
-
Does it work if its sent via a different method? Do you know the exact error the user has?
-
You need to explain what the issue is and what is causing problems. We cannot help if we dont know what the problem is.
-
1) Yes thats correct 2) You cannot delete that as its a standard Dropbox feature on the web 3) Yes 4) Yes they do - but only once via the ORIGINAL location that they are stored in. You are not double charged quota for them to be in a folder AND Photos.

But, you've not really answered my question. Ignore DocSend for a minute. Does it work in PowerPoint on your desktop before you send the file?

@"Bingo_needs_help" wrote:I think I loged in over 1 year ago. I have also checked my spam as well as added no-reply@dropbox.com to my email contacts. I'm afraid that means the account has been removed, as the other posts said. If you do not log in within 12 months accounts (and all data) are deleted and not recoverable.…

@"Daviator" wrote:But again, why do my files need to reside in a (local) Dropbox folder to be synchronized? Why can't Dropbox software sync them from their current location(s)? I (incorrectly) assumed that was the point of the Desktop software. But no one has been able to answer that simple question, especially when other…

@"wilsonart" wrote:- I tried to adding the video link on powerpoint from a different computer and it still didn't work Somebody please help. Thank you Robert Was this PowerPoint the software or on Dropbox website? Did it work when ran as a presentation on the machine or via a link on Dropbox?

How long ago did you last log in @"Bingo_needs_help" ?

Is it possible to see which files are syncing based upon the icons of the folders in Finder? If so try moving the folder/directory out of Dropbox to say desktop, let it sync to clear icon/up to date and then return it the folder. That usually works.
-
That sounds like a connection issue between your machine and the servers. Have you checked that a firewall isnt blocking you, that your time/date/timezones are correct and up to date?

@"JoeWood" wrote:I'm not sure Mark, we copied the hardrive with all the files and programs and out it on a larger HD on the new puter. Unless you have installed Dropbox it wont work. You need to install it and follow the advanced option prompts to put the folder/directory where it was before. Give it time to then…

Have you installed Dropbox on it and is it running? www.dropbox.com/downloading
-
Is something else changing them? For example updating the metadata due to being updated in iTunes?
-
Just tried to escalate for you all 🙂 It would help if people could just confirm Dropbox version number as well as OS version. For info a newer version of Dropbox is available here. That may fix it.

Are you downloading to your account or downloading via browser? If your account doesnt have 6.1gb free it wont add it
