They are irritating and annoying - they dont seem to overkill. I have one on my Mac that will not go away, no matter what I do. On both devices the notification centre ones stay on screen unless I tell them to go away - I dont need, nor want, to know about everything that happens on my account constantly in that way. Pop…

If you paste the link for the file in to an incognito window does it work?
-
You need to unlink your account off the computer first, then delete the files and finally reinstall.

All support options depend upon what plan you are on and are listed at www.dropbox.com/support. However, as @"Rich" said you've not actually said what the issue is so nobody can help or assist you.

@"juan88" wrote:The problem is that I cannot move the folder from its original location. Is there any alternative? Unfortunately not. Dropbox only syncs certain folders - which it actually does by moving them in to the Dropbox directory and creating shortcuts at the original location.

Remember that Dropbox cannot delete files unless its told to do so. There is no way, at all, for it to do so without this happening. Things that often cause this, however, include using external or networked drives or people dragging folders outside of the directory accidentally.

If there is no icon on the status bar then Dropbox isnt running, you need to start it from the Start button, or App foder.
-
What does Dropbox say if you mouse over its icon on the status bar?

Ultimately if you want to use the Dropbox service (and its way way way more about the service now than storage) it needs paying for. And…

It saves multiple versions (every one that uploads), but, only if it uploads - and often it cannot if another file has it open. You should see the files at www.dropbox.com/events as an upload AND then also at Version History

There are lots of prompts and warnings when moving over to a team - so much so it almost tries to force you to do a new account @"MC3B" In terms to the account though - basically when you are removed from the Team your account will immediately go over quota and stop syncing. Then as soon as you upgrade it will work again 🙂…

If it isnt letting you accept the share is bigger than your available space. As you arent told how big the share is when trying to join you have no way of knowing the size of it - note any size message within the error is how much more space you need on top of what you already have, not, what the size of the folder is. The…

www.dropbox.com/support is how to contact Support Or, click on the 'photo' icon on the forum pages.

Dropbox doesnt have an editor for .txt files I'm afraid - closest is via Word.
-
Unfortunately if you do via website, no, there isnt a way to do this 😞 The only thing I can think is to do in small batches - wait for them to upload and mark them as online only to recover the space.
-
Why cant you access the account? We need more info here? And have you checked www.dropbox.com/backups ?

Hi @"ericweathersart" If you were part of a business account they 'owned' everything in it and as such when they remove you they delete everything. The only way to fix that is ask the business admin to restore the account and then remove you from the business plan. However, that has to be done with 7 days or the data could…

@"beyon" wrote:How can I achieve this? Usually when merging folder structure's the computer ask if it should skip existing files and then it just adds the other ones. This is what I want. That would only be possible if you did it on the computer. Website upload has no way of checking files and so would upload everything…

The only people who can help are at www.dropbox.com/support. However, refunds are only issued where there is a legal requirement to do so.
-
Have you viewed the shared link in an incognito window to see how it displays? You are seeing it as the owner as when viewing it Dropbox knows its your image as you are logged in.
-
Dropbox are very, very, strict on not giving access to accounts - there are lots of cases on here where they've refused to do so. Ultimately thats a good thing as if not anybody could pretend to be a user and get their data. All you can do is contact Support and see if they can help. If they cannot then your only other…

If it says it exists it means there is already a Dropbox account using that email. So you need to log on to that one (use www.dropbox.com/forgot if you cant remember the password), log on and either delete it or change the email on it to a different one. You will then be able to use it on this account
-
Only if they are linked because one is a paid for business account. If not you need to sign out and in to swap.
-
If it's giving the option to do so, I'd say yes, it will work - it's just an administrative change more than anything else. My guess here is the help article is outdated (which is quite common)
-
You need to contact support. https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/lost-email-access
-
There is no way to do this I'm afraid - what I'd suggest is making sure that you have some plans in place for somebody to take over your account and set up future payments as and when the time comes.
-
Hi @"Rmorris8" This seems to be the new sharing model that Dropbox are using. Note that nothing has actually changed in the file etc. and you cannot actually edit it unless you do "Open In" and choose Word Online. However, I totally agree that it looks clumsy and, well, messy.

It will be taxes. If you want to swap to a plan via the website you need to let Dropbox downgrade via the App Store (cancel it, wait for it to downgrade) and THEN upgrade. If you want to just change to yearly there should be an option for that in the app store.
