You have to have accepted it at some point as Teams (same as Shares) cannot just be linked without approval. Have a try at using https://help.dropbox.com/organize/team-folders

Hi @"tankbar" Have a look at https://help.dropbox.com/sync/access-files-offline

@"Kristian001" wrote: I don’t have that phone anymore wiped it and sold it Then you need to use the recovery codes given when you set 2FA up. If you didnt keep them safe then you cannot recover your account I'm afraid.

You could look at some recovery tools which may scan the computer, but, they are not very reliable once a device is re-formatted. The formatting process is designed to be destructive and wipe a drive. As for tools you could use I'd suggest a google, but, in the mean time the relative must stop using the computer completely…

Zip files are not editable via the Dropbox web interface. They are only previewable: https://help.dropbox.com/view-edit/file-types-that-preview#File-types-that-preview-as-a-zip-file https://experience.dropbox.com/en-gb/resources/how-to-zip-files

Team folders are not shared folders as such - they operate differently and have different setups and properties. Did you ever 'join' the Team? If so does https://www.dropbox.com/team/decide this help?
-
No, they are not recoverable at all via Dropbox I'm afraid - because he was over his 2GB limit Dropbox didnt sync them. As the messages would have said on his machine and via email all syncing stops once you hit the limit. Simply put Dropbox doesnt know they exist - they were never ever uploaded to Dropbox. Same with any…

Are both still showing as linked at www.dropbox.com/home ? If you add a file to your personal account does it show online and online where you can see the business one if you toggle between them?

@"Kristian001" wrote: I dunno just when try login sends text too a number no longer active so can’t login The only way to change 2FA (which is what sends a code to your phone) is to have the device or the emergency recovery codes given upon set up. There is no way, at all, to get around this.
-
Youve not said where they are not clickable - as that isnt a Dropbox issue. Dropbox just make the links - it doesnt add it or make it usable in Word or Outlook etc.
-
My guess here is that he is editing the file on a folder outside of the share OR Dropbox on his machine isnt running. Check if he is updating and editing the file that he can then see it at www.dropbox.com/home. If not check Dropbox is running and where he is opening and editing it from - it needs to be in the shared…

You will need to share it with them. If you send a link it is read only and they access it via that link everytime they need it. If you add them to the folder they can add it to their own Dropbox as long as they've enough quota - your files will use up their quota.
-
Hi @"nate22" It isnt possible to change the owner of the root directory of Dropbox - that would mean you couldnt access anything. You need to move everything in to one folder and share that if thats what you want to do (its probably also easier than sharing lots of folders)

@"KrisHughes" wrote:Thank you. I'm new to the new plan that allows control over this, but it seems to involve so many clicks to get it done every time I share, a real time waster. Ideally, a dialogue box should open when I right click "copy dropbox link" in Windows File Explorer, but the ability to set a default would be…

@"Deepthght" wrote: If I set up two factor authentication, would those recovery codes have been emailed to me? If you set it up you have to physically download them before you can continue. Did you set up 2FA? If so you need to use the recovery codes that were given when you set it up. Without them there is no way, at all to get access to an account. 2FA is set up to stop people getting access without the codes, or recovery codes, and Dropbox are rightly very strict on not allowing people to circumvent it.

Not via Dropbox (or iCloud) no, you'd need to use a third party tool to do that.
-
@"Pookeyblow" wrote:In Dropbox Backup I can select folders on my Mac I would like to back up. Can I select the iCloud folder? No you cant. It also isnt possible to sync a cloud backup service to another - you will end up with data loss and corruption. You will need to manually copy/paste between the two as @"Megan" said.

Have you tried clearing temp internet files?

Have you tried clearing cache and temp internet files?

@"EZTejas" wrote:Thought about that and sent to my wife. Same result. Its possible you are logged in. The link you sent for the document above only opens as a file. So it is externally going out as a document only. As long as you are doing the link in the same way in the email
-
As you looking at it as yourself @"EZTejas" ? If so its possible Dropbox is detecting that you are already logged in and so shows everything. Try looking at the link via an incognito window. e.g. that link you posted above when I access it appears as just a single document

No, file requests send an email to the person requested it and that is all I'm afraid.
-
So if they dont show on Events they then it can only be one of the following: * A shared folder that has been left/had access removed from it * Been permanently deleted * Never existed on Dropbox in the first place. It can only be one of those three things as it isnt possible to clear events otherwise.
-
Hi @"cummij" What do you mean by notifications? Dropbox will send a weekly digest email of activity in the shared folder but nothing else. If you want them to know when files are added/edited etc. I'm afraid that isnt something Dropbox offers.
-
You need to contact support at www.dropbox.com/support and ask for assistance.
-
Were they a Shared folder that you've left? www.dropbox.com/share

Yes, if Dropbox cannot sync it will show as offline - so if the WiFi is blocking Dropbox it wont sync. If you end up with conflicted copies you need to manually patch everything back together. The original file will not update or change - it has saved the updates as a conflict as it believes the original file is out of…
