I have to say I've never ever had issues with file uploads, the only issues I've had is that people cannot sometimes work out how to upload. The other thing is that they sometimes fail if the files are very large or there internet is not the best. I have a set of file uploads that I created years ago and still work fine.

To add to what Rich says, I do exactly the same thing, however, just a word of warning when doing it Dropbox will show you leaving/deleting and adding shared folders etc. Dont panic and just let it do it and all will work out :)

my2ndaccount wrote:i know the password to my account, but is there a way to email a login code to enter like what my bank does? You told Dropbox to not give access to your account without the codes. Therefore that's what they do - they've also said the same on here previously. You can try asking Dropbox Support at…

my2ndaccount wrote:I never saved my emergency codes Oh dear :( It does tell you the reasons why you should save them and also makes you confirm you do before its set up. When I used Google Authenticator, it always moved everything as long as I was logged in to Google. Have you checked log-on etc.? I use 1Password now and…

SirPreiss wrote:Hey Jay. Yes, I can see the files on the events page. Some of the subfolders have been recovered but none of the files previously stored in these folders. Once you restored the folders can you go in and see deleted files within those folders and restore that way? Out of interest how much free quota do you…

my2ndaccount wrote:It's the 6-digit code thingy that I don't have accesss to on my Google Authenticator app and I have no way to get into my main dropbox account. Thank you!!!! You need to use the emergencty backup codes you were given when setting up the 2FA security. Without those its not possible to regain access. Then…

Was the account deleted for inactivity? If so that's not recoverable I'm afraid. As the email says once they are removed they are removed - you are given multiple warnings over many many months. See the explanations here: https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/delete-account People who have had recovered accounts are…

Is your Dropbox located on an internal drive with no symlinks or junctions? Time and date correct and matching whats at www.dropbox.com/home ?

Dropbox cannot charge you if you didnt give it your card details or if it has and you didn't somebody has hacked your card and so you need to speak to your card company. Most often charges occur when people dont cancel a free trial in time and ignore the email…

Muertini wrote:Is there any way to reactivate my account and recover those files No. As the emails warn you once your account is removed its permanently deleted. KSwan wrote:Is there any way to recover these folders and photos? Unfortunately not. Unless you were, at the time of deletion, a paid user the files are not recoverable after 30 days. Paying to upgrade now wont get you any further recovery window on previously deleted files - it isn't retroactive. KSwan wrote:I found this…

As long as you didnt delete your account or permanently delete the files you should be able to via https://help.dropbox.com/delete-restore/recover-deleted-files-folders If you did delete the account then no, I'm afraid they are not recoverable.

MmeMinty wrote:Thanks, I didn't see a thread about status icons so I created one, "Add toggle to disable status icons". There was one already - I linked to it. Sadly making multiple ones just means that they don't get the upvotes needed

Unfortunately there is no way to do this. There was a recent post about this you can see here. And a thread asking for upvotes etc. within the suggestions board here.

The app itself should appear at the bottom near the tool bar - the bit where the clock is. That is what you need to click on to.

Try either right clicking on the icon, or, choosing CTRL+Click on it

You've started a new thread so it makes no sense.... I assume you meant to post over here https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001015/re-i-cant-access-my-photos-as-im-being-asked-to-upgrade-my-dropbox-account-/803472/replies/803583 ?

Yes you will. So I imagine the only fix is to get the owner of the account to release it. You can try logging a ticket with support via www.dropbox.com/support while not logged in - even here so use an incognito window BUT they have in the past said they cannot help because the account is 'owned' by the Business that you…

ckiii21 wrote:I think I need DB to intervene... Dropbox almost certainly wont I'm afraid because that account is owned by that client - i.e. when you joined that business account you have given them the rights to manage your account and own the data etc. on it. Your quickest fix is probably to just set up a new account.…

Your account is part of a team which has no longer been paid for - possibly via a trial which has lapsed. You need to convert your account back to a personal one because, at present, it isn't - as can be seen by the image (which is really helpful, thank you!). Try following…

How long ago was it deleted? Also, was it a share? That does alter sometimes where it appears.
