ciasniper wrote:it looks like i have a new account completely..... You do - because they are two separate systems. You need to log in on the account as it was using the password set up as before. If you are unsure of the password use www.dropbox.com/forgot to get a reset.

I am not aware of anything, sorry. All I can suggest is hoping somebody who works for Dropbox picks it up tomorrow. Edit: actually you can try https://bugcrowd.com/dropbox

Dropbox support is available via www.dropbox.com/support. You can also view all things on your account at www.dropbox.com/events www.dropbox.com/account also shows you all connected devices etc.

Giusepp wrote:How can I recover my data? You accepted an invite to join his Business Team. Therefore your account and data 'became owned by the Team'. Out of interest what version of Windows etc. are you using? Is it a standard Windows install? No junctions/external or networked drives etc.?

As much as I agree and would love it to happen I have never, ever, ever seen Dropbox go back on a change they've announced - and I've been on here since Dropbox was in beta! Its also worth pointing out that actually its not even causing too many people to complain/question it on here. I've seen threads with thousands of…

How long ago did you last log in? If it was over 12 months the data is removed and is not recoverable I'm afraid. They do send multiple warnings that this is happening. --- Há quanto tempo você fez login pela última vez? Se foi há mais de 12 meses, os dados são removidos e não são recuperáveis, infelizmente. Eles enviam…

Have you installed Dropbox from www.dropbox.com/downloading and pointed it at the directory you already had installed?

Metamorfosi wrote:I'm on a trial but I can pay if it's useful to recover the folder You would have had to have had Essentials at the time of deletion to recover past 30 days. It may take time to update the web page, have you tried sending a fax and testing it?

Yes! Use Dropbox File requests :) Then he goes to the link (which can be reused a much as you like) and adds them to that: https://help.dropbox.com/share/create-file-request

Dropbox is busy moving everybody to Paper 2020 (yes, you read that right, its 5 years late). They are emailing people before they do it so you may have missed it/its ended up in Junk, however, it means you can now move the Paper files to any folder or location you want :) Pleased you found them ! :)

What does www.dropbox.com/events show?

Those images help amazingly, thank you! They wont sync as they have 'illegal' characters in them. Remove the fullstop from the end of the name and they should sync (you may also need to remove the comma from the v2 file).
-
I'm not 100% sure you can. Best suggestion I have is to log a ticket with support via www.dropbox.com/support
-
To add to this you cannot retrieve sent emails for any sort of sharing via Dropbox I'm afraid (links, folders etc.)
-
Image really helps, thank you! Those files are marked as 'online only', so, if you follow this it will download them locally for you and you can open and use as you want.
-
You wont be able to do it on a mobile device - it has to be on web to upload screen shot. Can you give more info on what the error is? Where is it happening etc.
-
You can see all prices and costs at www.dropbox.com/plans. Costs will be based upon where your card is located (so it may be different if its a card in Sweeden).

lindseygilbert wrote:Any information you can share would be greatly appreciated Have you followed the advice already given and done things like the credit card lookup?

If you go to the folder in question, click on 'Show Deleted Items' and then see if you can permanently delete it from there. Usually the owner of the file can delete unless there have been restrictions applied via admin.

Apologies the above applies to internal drives such as C:\ You can back up full external drives as it says above. However, that is external only, not internal.
-
That isnt possible or how it works I'm afraid. Dropbox Backup doesn't back up whole drives like other applications does - it moves certain directories to its own folder and backs them up almost continuously (leaving symlinks in the initial location). Dropbox sync (there separate) also doesnt backup drives but rather only…

Thats good news!!

There is no support I'm aware of on weekends bar Enterprise Support - and certainly none I (or any other Super User) has access to I'm afraid.
