It is: just send them a shared link. If you are 'testing' the link it will allow editing as Dropbox will realise you are actually opening your own file
-
Dropbox wont be able to help if your device wont connect to the computer - thats something you need to get Apple to help with. However, you could try adding the 'Dropbox' app to the phone and then allowing Camera Uploads which will do the same thing
-
Thatzlife - you dont need to download it *because it already exists locally on your machine*.
-
I'm afraid you need to contact the person directly I'm afraid - I've just removed the post from here as its spam (and so not allowed). You may also want to contact your card issuer as its likely a fraudulent site.

You should be able to open the iPhone app. Click on the big + Click 'Upload Photos' That defaults to the camera roll, but, if you click on the word 'Camera Roll' at the top you can change it to another album. There you simply click on each photo you want to upload (you do need to click each one I'm afraid) and then press…

To help others I dont suppose you'd mind telling us how you fixed it would you?
-
The only solution is a reinstall I'm afraid. If its on a work network I'd suggest speaking to them. You may find that you are unable to continue to use Dropbox without upgrading the software as they have depreciated lots of old versions recently.
-
I think you'll need to use the Dropbox preferences to move the Dropbox folder location to the new username.
-
That doesnt mean it isnt being throttled. It also doesnt mean that the files are large enough as I said to speed things up.
-
It'll get faster when it moves on to larger files (4mb+) as below that each file needs individually hash checking and Dropbox uploads in 4mb blocks. It is also dependent upon your own ISP speed (and possibly any throttling from them).
-
Sort of. You can create empty folders on your machine and selective sync off, or, you can upload in batches and have an already created Selective Sync folder which once the files have uploaded you use the web interface to move the folder in to the un-sync'd one. That then deletes it locally.
-
Via Selective Sync as I linked to earlier on (www.dropbox.com/help/175). I'm also on a Mac and have everything I 'need' syncing to it without issue. The rest I have sync'd to Dropbox but not on my machine. For example I have archived data from previous years accounts/classes taught (I'm a teacher) as well as all the ISO's…

The issue is that, unfortunately, Dropbox probably isnt suitable for your needs in that case Crotonmark. Dropbox isnt designed to be a cloud only solution, it is a syncing tool. It is supposed to (by design) have everything locally on your hard drive. So, you can use the 1TB of space - you just cant have it all on your…
-
Have you had a look at Selective Sync? www.dropbox.com/help/175
-
You dont have to, no, but if you have a poor internet connection it is a suitable work around
-
You can press 'add to my Dropbox' if you have enough quota. If you dont then it may give an error, but, I'm not 100% sure now. If not I'm afraid you may struggle if your ISP is flaky - the issue is (sadly) all to do with how well the ISP can handle large files.
-
Download and install Dropbox on your machine to let it down that way - it downloads in 4mb chunks then rather than in one big go. www.dropbox.com/install
-
Yes it does Perko. Remember that it is not just storage of files that costs - but also accessing them and bandwidth as a minimum. This is forgetting the staff to develop the software and systems to support people.

Hiker - you wont be asked to update your password on any connected device as they work on secure tokens not passwords.
