Yes - because THAT is the whole point of Dropbox. Dropbox is NOT an external storage provider. So when you put them inside the Dropbox folder you only moved the folder they were in on your hard drive. Dropbox is a syncing tool. It is designed so that everything is on every device at all times..... see how easy it is then…

Dropbox cannot delete your files. It doesnt have the code or capability to do so. Sometimes 'events' doesnt show up large events. Or, it groups them with other events so it isnt obvious. In terms of your ticket you can track at http://dropbox.zendesk.com
-
I've downloaded it and its opened fine here. Do you have something on your machine or device that will open MP3's? All Dropbox does is get the files to the device, it doesnt manage the opening of them.

Have you followed JaneA's advice?

Start at www.dropbox.com/help/296

It wont pick up I'm afraid and sounds as if it has stalled. I strongly suggest installing Dropbox on the iMac, putting everything inside the 'Dropbox' folder and letting it sync to the other machine normally.

Try disabling the Dropbox Badge within the Dropbox preferences.
-
You need to cancel the account that is using the email address. So, request a reset of the password on the account at www.dropbox.com/forgot Log in to that account Go to www.dropbox.com/account and close it. THEN go back to the original account and change your email.
-
Please log a ticket with support at www.dropbox.com/support which you can then track at http://dropbox.zendesk.com

The way links are processed has been changed. See https://www.dropbox.com/help/files-folders/public-folder

Does online at www.dropbox.com/account show you have space?
-
Upgrade to a newer version: www.dropbox.com/downloading It was a known issue.
-
@"vishalvij" - business customers using the Business products cannot actually use Camera Uploads so this bug wont actually be impacting upon them

Thats something to do with your computer Mickeymouse1 I'm afraid and not something I can answer :( You may be able to get more appropriate help on an suitable movie playing forum rather than Dropbox.
-
You need to make sure you have a program on your computer that can open them. Thats nothing to do with Dropbox I'm afraid. I suggest trying VLC player.
-
If it isnt working have you actually informed Dropbox of the issue or not? Remember on the whole this is a user supported board. www.dropbox.com/support to log the issue http://dropbox.zendesk.com to track.

You cant log out without unlinking Dropbox completely. If you want to do that you'll need to remember to also delete all of the Dropbox data off your computer because that is a folder on your machine like every single other one (it isnt special). You are better off securing the user account so that only you can log on to…

I would do all of that yes. Remove all references to Dropbox in the registry. Remove any .exe references etc. to Dropbox. Restart computer. Try a reinstall from www.dropbox.com/downloading

Dropbox depreciated a lot of older API versions a few months ago. Unfortunately if you cannot download a newer version you will need to just use the Dropbox mobile website.

Dropbox stopped providing change logs well over a year ago. At that time the manager of the team told us they were working on a solution and it would be communicated to us shortly. Since then absolute silence. All thats happened is that the version numbers have increased fortnightly. Its a very regular request from people…

Is this for an app you are developing Denne? If so I'll move this to the API area where the API team may be able to help

@"clientreleases" wrote: The desktop client is regularly updated with many improvements and fixes. I actually found one!! I cant say when it came in, however (certainly not the beta), as you are too lazy and unprofessional to post change logs BUT thank you for now allowing us to hide notifications! Genuinely I think the…
-
That page is (I think as you've not shown the URL) just a timeline of events on your account. Click on 'Files' at the side and then you'll be able to do it.
-
It means you have an unread Notification. For example a new share or an update to a Paper Document. Click on the icon and then on 'Notifications' to see what it is.
-
You shouldnt I'm afraid - the Public folder was sunsetted a long time ago. To make a folder publicly shared follow www.dropbox.com/help/167

*moves to API area*

How large is the video? Just wondering if its timing out before the download completes. Have you tried adding it as a favourite first and then once its locally stored tried to move it to the Camera Roll?

cviegasb wrote: I am curious to hear Dropbox's justification for this change - it certainly doesn't to seem to be about a better user experience. Sadly you wont get one - believe me we've tried for lots of other things. Dropbox, however, just seem hellbent on removing functionality at the moment, or "enhancing" it and…

cviegasb - myself and another SuperUser have also tried and we cannot find it either.
