No it doesnt, sorry.

Out of interest does the same thing happen in other applications (e.g. Word?)
-
No, sorry. The only work around would be to edit it yourself so it became Modified by you on the date you did it on.

All I can suggest is recontacting support at http://dropbox.zendesk.com, but, as Excel is actually provided by Microsoft it maybe that they need to work with them to resolve the issue. Also, i know you said it was 5 days but please remember they only work Mon-Fri so weekends do not count. Also, if you are not a paying user…

Public is the old terminology for how you used to share files - it was within a folder called "Public" hence why it still gets used occasionally.
-
It works exactly as the help links above show.... you create a link to a file or folder and then ANYBODY with that link can access that file. It is not, however, searchable via Google etc. nor is it editable and the only thing they can access is that file/folder nothing else. With paid accounts you can put additional…

I suggest speaking to the Microsoft people about the error sebrame - maybe contact their forums?
-
Sadly, from looking round here you are.... SOMETHING on your network is blocking Dropbox - your ISP maybe? Your corporate filtering if at work?
-
Can you post exact software version numbers?
-
They will need to get admin privileges then to do the install - even if they are given just temporarily.

The option to open files with is handled by iOS so that is something which you need to change within the Apple software. Dropbox doesnt control who takes the files
-
The issue isnt with Dropbox if you opened the files in Adobe, its an Adobe one.

Try selective sync: https://www.dropbox.com/help/175
-
Potential Bug - renaming a file on the web interface causes the pop up on my Mac desktop client to say '2 files changed'. Able to consistently replicate.
-
There is - if you do it as we've said. Reading your last post you have sent a read only shared link ( https://www.dropbox.com/help/files-folders/shared-links ) rather than a shared folder ( https://www.dropbox.com/help/files-folders/shared-or-private-folder )
-
Make sure all firewalls etc. are off and try an advanced install: https://help.dropbox.com/desktop-web/advanced-reinstall
-
Dont use their Apple ID - you need to use the email address they've set up Dropbox with.
-
As long as you add them to the share Matthew, and they accept, it will auto appear on their iOS devices :)
-
It has been cleared up already. If it says "completed" you have referred your maximum. That means 32 people have signed up using your link and you've been awarded the full 16gb.
-
You'll need to a ticket I'm afraid. Nobody here can assist as its a public forum.

@"Morales" wrote:Ok can someone tell me why All my files generate too much traffic ? Simply put: -too many people are viewing them constantly OR -the files have been blocked for another reason (virus/DCMA take down/illegal etc.) The only thing to do is contact www.dropbox.com/support and ask for help. Once the ticket is…

Due to the fact they are current pulling support for various OS's I suspect you are not going to be able to get this running I'm afraid. Sorry :(
-
It didnt mention it Bob because it officially has never actually worked on Dropbox - it was (and always has been) unsupported. If it did work it was accidental. www.dropbox.com/help/3 tells you what is, and what is not, supported.
-
They can be. But if they arent you need to tell them it isnt working. Did you not think of testing them? If you do want to cancel you can do so at www.dropbox.com/downgrade. However, please remember you will keep the subscription space you have until the payment term runs out. You do not get any pro-rata refunds.

Dropbox only provides previews on its website. If it isnt working then log a ticket so they can work out what codecs are missing and look at adding them to the site.
-
There T&C's state that they can delete things, however, I'm not aware of them ever having done so.
-
As long as they are not in breach of their quota they will yes :)
-
So you did it via the website? Easy way to check then is to go to www.dropbox.com/home and see if you can see the file. You can also then see www.dropbox.com/account which will show your quota and if you are -26gb you know its uploaded :)
-
How did you upload it SaddestGavin? If via the Dropbox folder on your computer you may find it uploads fine. Mouse over the Dropbox icon on your status bar to see what Dropbox is up to.
-
You need to follow the prompts and if necessary attach files via ZenDesk later (http://dropbox.zendesk.com), or, by generating and sending a shared link to the file in question.
