It depends TOTALLY upon your own set up - so nobody else can give any sort of comparison. What I would say though is that it will speed up once the initial folder creation is completed and it gets on to larger files. Dropbox sync's smallest -> largest and as smallest has the most overheads these are slowest to download.

Your folder structure must be too long on the device you are copying it to. So, shorten the directory names and it should work (note that error isnt a Dropbox one its one from OS Majave)
-
Do you have enough space to upload it @"h8_inefficiency"? Is your wifi connected?
-
Have you tried another browser? Cleared local cache/cookies etc.? I've not seen anything on here which would hint at a Dropbox wide issue.
-
One word of warning on this - Databases and Dropbox do not play together well. So, please make sure it syncs FULLY to a green tick before you open it on the laptop AND when you are finished with it at the end of the evening it syncs back to Dropbox's cloud with a green tick again before you shut down (you will probably…

There is no way to do that I'm afraid. BUT you can sort of trick the system to force a download of files by altering the URL slightly.
-
Yes - and if they are not doing that you need to speak to MS I'm afraid. Dropbox doesnt alter any settings within folders (unless Smart Sync etc. is enabled). So why it isnt scrolling sounds like a bug at their end.
-
Hi @"jah000" Good question :) The answer is yes - because that person will need to log in (or already be logged in) to access the share via the link. If somebody did intercept it and click on teh link even if they've a Dropbox account themsleves it wouldnt work since the link was sent to a diff email.
-
Where are you seeing this? Whats the steps you are taking to save the file?
-
If you are using Smart Sync thats your issue - the files are not locally sync'd. So when you are double clicking to open the file its actually having to download it first. Then when you tap left or right there are no files to move to - what you see if just place holders.
-
No, there is no editing functionality for images I'm afraid.
-
As a few of you are having it can I please ask you log a ticket at www.dropbox.com/support and link back to this thread? Once logged you can track at http://dropbox.zendesk.com
-
You can only do this if one of the accounts is a Business Account. You can then follow this guide to do it.
-
Are you connected to the internet while trying to open then anonymous?
-
That sounds like its something to do with Access itself (is it linked to other files that need relative links etc. which are now broken?) Its also worth saying Access (or rather databases in general) and Dropbox are not a good combo!
-
Nope - as that shouldnt happen! Have you installed Dropbox via www.dropbox.com/downloading and are not using any sort of mobile/tablet version? Whats your OS?
-
Where and how are you trying to do this @"Tristar1982"? We need more info I'm afraid - can you give us step by step instructions on how/where you are opening it?
-
The limitation is, I believe, 10,000 files. It is there for data integrity reasons. The only other work around is to do the move in smaller chunks.
-
Out of interest @"Henri2" do you have Dropbox installed on your device? If so that keeps you logged in.
-
DO NOT SHARE YOUR PASSWORD WITH THEM!!!! Doing that effectively makes them the owner of the account, the same as you, and allows them to do ANYTHING they want with it - delete it, change password, change the email etc. and if they do YOU HAVE NO COME BACK as you permitted it by giving them the details. The only SAFE way to…
-
For the second one the issue is that the folder structure has #'s in the structure. The first one I reckon is too long a folder name - try renaming it to something smaller. www.dropbox.com/bad_files_check
-
Hi @"OGuyDave" and @"groundhog" I can tell you exactly what the issue is here. There is no file to recover it to because the file before your edit is over 120 days ago (assuming you are a paying user). You can ONLY recover and restore files that were previously edited to within 30 days for free users, or 120 for paid. So,…
-
The issue @"libbymitchellre" is there is no officially supported way to link Box to Dropbox. You need to download the files from Box to your computer and upload to Dropbox. Or. You need to use a third party tool such as mover.io to do it for you.
-
Hi @"cah1" In answer to your question (as it hasnt been answered) there is no way to do what you are asking I'm afraid. Dropbox does not offer any sort of SFTP/FTP functionality.
-
You need to contact them again then and ask them to resend it. Without them doing that you cannot access it. Theres no way to 'search' for shares to join etc.
-
Hi That error is because you have a 1TB account. They do not. To be a part of a shared folder EVERYBODY needs to have the available quota to access it.
-
I'm based in the UK so things may be slightly different here, but, things are very clearly marked as B2B or consumer. I cannot, for example, go to any retailer and demand products are none VAT-able just as I have a VAT number unless its specific products within there range. So much so many sites have a totally separate…
-
It may be something that is coming in the new Extensions set up, but, no, I dont think you can save directly to the cloud and work on files inside Dropbox on the Adobe Cloud.
-
@"artmanjam1" "Why does Dropbox charge EU b2b customers VAT and which EU VAT rule do they refer to do so?" It doesnt if you use the B2B product. You, however, are not using a B2B product you are using a consumer one which means it is under a different remit. It really is that simple. @"jmouritsen" You can pay for it via…

Dropbox has no such capability to do this - anything that would do this would be implemented by WhatsApp itself as they would need to write it in to their applications to connect to Dropbox.
