Hi @"Sunny " When you signed up for the trial you were informed, and agreed, that you would be charged at the end of it. It is your responsibility to cancel said trial before the end of the trial period or you are charged. Depending upon how long ago you subscribed you may be able to claim a refund as you are in the…

@"Yuppyboy17" we need to know why though before we can help
-
Hi @"dsw0513" No, it isnt, sorry.
-
Hi @"maher1982" How long have you been a member? You need to have been an active member for at least 6 months to a year before it can be considered
-
As long as you delete files which are deleted on the website (ie. via the "Show Deleted Items" menu) then it wont also delete anything on the computer. But, two things to note, once these are deleted it is impossible to recover AND unless there is a need to do so I personally wouldnt bother - they dont take up any space or…

Local only is default. You have to actively make them online only etc. You can test it by disabling your wifi for a few seconds 🙂
-
@"dualice" correct - to cover the increased costs associated with sharing. But, if Dropbox doesnt make money they go bankrupt and then there is no service to use. It doesnt have the backup of other income streams like Google does to make money to run things at a loss.
-
@"Julien B.12" .... I know its still 'in progress' but I honestly cannot see it happening at any point soon. I've said this to Dropbox plenty of times - the silence from them is both embarrassing and damaging.
-
Hi @"WAS48" If you've never used Dropbox or knew what it was chances are that somebody else has accidentally set an account up in your email. When you've then followed the links and logged in you'll have their data. Sadly there is no way to know who it was supposed to be with.
-
@"phil-g3swh" those screenshots are from the Dropbox website: www.dropbox.com/home. Navigate to your folder there and you should be able to do it 🙂
-
Dropbox support does not work on weekends @"protrading104" so they wont be able to help until next week. However, you need to be contacting PayPal as its THEM who need to assist - in securing etc. your account and stopping future fraud.
-
How are you trying to upload it @"dwhitelaw" ? Are you getting any errors anywhere? If so what/where and screenshots would be good 🙂
-
@"johnwhat" - Dropbox has no such functionality to convert them. You need to use a third party app to do that 🙂
-
I'm going to absolutely say thats a scam.
-
Hi @"PL89" That is what would happen yes - if the device is stolen and they log on to Dropbox they could delete everything. BUT to do that they would need to know your PIN code or FaceID as well as any security on the Dropbox app to log on. The flip side is you can disconnect (unlink) the phone app from the Dropbox website…
-
I'm afraid there is no way to do this - such information is not tracked or stored. The person who received it will have access to upload logs at www.dropbox.com/events but that is it.
-
@"koolson" The workaround is to not log in for a year at which point its closed for inactivity.
-
Hi @"Rory O." There is no limit on how long things are stored in Dropbox as long as the account is in use and you are under quota. Have you tried to do a search for them at www.dropbox.com/home ?
-
Have you tried to delete the app, restart the device and reinstall?
-
@"dperonteau" you've not really given anybody any info to work on here though.

@"N Fring" wrote:Also wondering about an expected timeline? This is the only thing preventing me from fully moving over to Dropbox because I can't use Paper while offline through the Dropbox app... There is no timeline... or rather it was missed - badly. The rollout was supposed to be in 2020 (as it was called Paper 2020)…

You could try creating a new account on the website and then a shared folder between the 'old' and new to get all data transferred over?
-
Hi, No there isn't a way to merge them, however, what you could do is just create a shared folder between the two accounts. 🙂 That will then sync everything for you and you can delete the old one.
-
Dropbox isnt designed to work on drive letters - if you have a one disconnect/change/delete etc. while Dropbox is open you could see a complete deletion of all data. There are (better now!) safeguards in place to stop this, but, its still not fool proof. You could set up a specific location for each person if you manually…

Hi @"Bluebicycle" That isnt something you can do with Dropbox natively and it would almost certainly need a rebuild of all users user accounts to make sure everybody was using the same User Account name. Sadly Dropbox just is not designed to work with database type programs I'm afraid for this exact reason
-
@"jpolcek" ARGH!! Never ever ever put phone numbers or emails on a PUBLIC website. That is how you end up getting defrauded! When your new card comes you need to update the card number at www.dropbox.com/account.
-
I'm afraid there is no way to merge accounts. You need to decide which account to use and then move all data over to it - using Shared folders is probably easiest. Its also not possible to move quotas between accounts I'm afraid.
-
@"ihatedreaming" pleased its sorted, but, it is sorta common sense that to use Dropbox features and capabilities that the application needs to be running 😉
-
@"ihatedreaming" if you have no icon on the status bar Dropbox isnt running. Simply start it from within the Applications folder and you will find it and also get the rightclick menus
-
Hi @"exx" 1) yes - to do that create a folder on your device and then unsync it after it appears online at www.dropbox.com/home using Selective Sync. Then you can just upload to it via the website. OR easier, so they still show on the computer, you could use Smart Sync? 2) yes you can have unlimited people, but, remember…
