Hi there, are you a member of a Dropbox Business team on the Advanced or Enterprise plans, or on Dropbox Professional? If you’re not on one of these plans, then you won’t be able to access or create a Showcase. If we’re misunderstanding something, please let us know more, including a screenshot with the error if need be!

Hey Philip, this was a feature on our beta versions of the Dropbox desktop application, though I wasn’t aware it made it to the stable version. I’ll test it out here to see what can be done to re-enable the prompt.

Hi Annie, the Dropbox mobile app is primarily a file viewer so you can see your files on your account without them taking up space. However, if you need to export any file to another app, such as videos to Instagram, then there isn’t a direct link between Dropbox and Instagram. The app needs to use your mobile as a…

Okay, well if you're not using a remote login to access your Mac, and Apple have stated there is nothing wrong with your device, then we're sure that our colleague @"Ross_S" will get to the bottom of it.
-
If clicking the button doesn't work, then it's an issue with that page. As that window is a Mac settings page, and isn't controlled by Dropbox, if you're not using remote login, then we'd recommend getting in contact with Apple on this matter.

Hi there, how exactly are you planning on using Dropbox in this manner? You can store files and render them in a browser using shared links, though this is subject to your bandwidth limit. If we’re misunderstanding something, please let us know!
-
Glad to hear it Jamie, have a great week ahead!
-
You can use the above steps to create a shared link to the image, and then change the dl=0 to raw=1 in order for the image to render in a browser. This way you’ll be able to use it as a forum image. Note that this will add to your daily bandwidth limit, so bear that in mind if this is going to appear on a popular forum.…

Hey there, Could you confirm you have this Windows Update installed on your machine?
-
Reading through this thread, everyone seems to be experiencing similar and yet slightly different issues, so I’ll go through the general troubleshooting steps to fix all of them. Feel free to stop whenever your app begins to sync normally, not all steps are needed. Install the stable version: The first thing we need is to…

Looks like you’re on the new structure of a Dropbox Business team, which we have some information about here. As that’s the case, most likely Readdle hasn’t updated their app to take into consideration this, as they can’t apparently access team folders in the Dropbox Business team. Seeing as the icon they’re using for…

There isn't an option to put a blank name since you'll get an error. A way around this is to instead type a space for the first and last name, though it might not look as pretty for a filename to be preceded by multiple spaces.

Actually, the Excel limit is separate to the Windows character limit. Windows has a maximum of 256 characters in the filepath. Excel however has 216, which is not device specific, so this should also apply to Mac versions of Excel. Usually though, using the bad files check is the best way to see all the files that could…

Hey there, If as you say it’s a sort-of-public computer, most likely it’s a work or family computer that others use. If the Dropbox desktop application isn’t uninstalling, or somehow is being reinstalled automatically, then it might be due to the settings of the computer itself. Sometimes admins can setup machines to…

We can’t really comment on how the iOS Files app works, other than it links to your Dropbox account. Whenever a file is created in your Dropbox account, even the Dropbox mobile app sometimes needs to be refreshed to see the file. I would assume that the iOS Files app needs to do the same thing, and there isn’t anything we…

Hey there, While the physical app always installs on the C:\, you can move the Dropbox folder with all your files to another location from within the app itself. Hope this helps!
-
Hey Steph! Is the Dropbox folder appearing in the Files app on your device? I’m assuming that you have installed our mobile app? What version of iOS are you running? Are you able to export files from your Dropbox app into the mail app? Is this the iOS Mail app, or the official Gmail app? Thanks in advance!
-
That's fine, twas just a precaution! Make sure to follow any extra steps from the official Apple site, namely deauthorizing your old PC, and transferring any backups of your iOS device, and so on. Enjoy!

I'd like to give a few warnings when doing this, assuming you have multiple devices that will be using the same library file from Dropbox. Firstly, and most importantly, if you're opening the same library on multiple computers at the same time, you're going to get a conflicted copy if there are any changes made. Most…

Just to jump in here, it's always best to state exactly how you're changing details on the machine. If you're using VNC, remote logins, teamviewer, or any other software, this can conflict with the OS, as @"IIT" said. If emulated mouse presses aren't allowed, then you're prevented from doing even the most basic of…

If the Magento program can't access the raw=1 link and parse it as the original PNG, then it won't be able to extract the image from Dropbox directly. There isn't any workaround for this, since the raw=1 is the only way for images and files in general to be directly viewed in a browser. Perhaps you can contact the…
-
Thanks for the details. You won't be able to extract the image using that link. However, if you change the dl=0 to raw=1, the image itself will be displayed. Perhaps your Magento program can work with that? This is forcing the file to render online, of which more details can be found here. Hope this helps!

Hi again, we’re sorry to hear about this issue. Generally the Dropbox desktop application updates whenever it is needed, and closing the app doesn’t technically stop it, since other processes are running in the background. Running the task manager on your PC should allow you to see the hidden processes, and you can close…

Hey there, welcome to the forums! There’s two possibilities for what you’re experiencing. Since you’ve mentioned that some are not on your PC, this means they’re visible either on the site or another device. Therefore, the two reasons for this are:* Selective sync - the files you want to view are in a folder that has been…

As this is an old thread returning, I’ll be closing this post. However, in response to your queries, since RSS feeds were removed almost a year ago, it’s unlikely that they’ll make a return. Regardless, what I can do is forward your feedback to our dev team for their awareness that some users would like to see a return of…

More info would be helpful! If the app is using the Dropbox API to access and import the files directly from there, then this would be an issue with the Magento 2 app itself, and not Dropbox. However, let us know more about how the app is getting files from Dropbox. Additionally, your email was removed from the post, for…

Thanks, this would help us greatly! You can easily find out by logging into the account online and visiting here in order to see what plan it’s on. Keep us posted!

Hi @"kaywert", welcome to the forum! I just want to doublecheck something, when you say that you’re connected to the same account, and only sync your personal folder to your computer, are you referring to a Dropbox Business team, or are you all accessing the same personal account? This can affect things, since it’s…
-
Hi @"jsdigital", welcome to the forums! I’ve moved your post since the previous one was quite old! Regarding your query, Dropbox doesn’t modify your files in any way. However, there are very rare circumstances when a file can be ‘changed’ in some manner, though this is unrelated to Dropbox. The first, and ‘most common’ is…

Mark’s right, the shared folder most likely is packed with files, so the second you delete stuff from your personal account, the shared folder just syncs a few more files into your quota, then making it overquota in moments. Shared folders do take up quota on your account, so we’d recommend leaving the shared folder to…
