Thanks for the image, generally .srt files aren’t supported for viewing on the Dropbox site or mobile app. Since they are basically text files, try renaming it to .txt to view the contents, and then rename it back to .srt when done. Also my ghost says that subs>dubs.

Hmm… I just tested that out here on another thread and it seems to upvote fine. If you’d like to try, you can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, or clearing your cache to see if this helps.

Hi there, in the iOS Files app, could you try tapping the ‘Edit’ button on the top right and see if the Dropbox locations are there, but deselected. If so, try enabling them, tap ‘Done’ and see if this works for you now. Keep me posted with any updates.

Currently it isn’t possible to disable those specific notifications that you’re seeing, since it isn’t in the list on the Dropbox site. I can forward that suggestion to our dev team for their consideration in future.

Hi Ray, are you referring to a shared link to that file? If so, you can’t customize it to a URL you’d prefer, however you can delete and recreate the link which will generate a new link. If I’m misunderstanding something, please let me know!

Hi Lorelei, you can disable the notifications for the Dropbox app via your own OS settings, which will prevent all Dropbox notifications from appearing on your machine. If you’re running Windows, this article might help. For Mac users, this article should assist. Hope this helps!

That’s correct, files will sync to the site and then to another connected devices. If you don’t have enough space on a computer, say a laptop with limited storage, then selective sync can prevent entire folders from syncing down to your machine. Let me know if this info helped out!

If by resharing you mean giving the people the shared link again, then yes, they’ll see the new name of the folder at the top of the link. Just like if you update files in the link, and they refresh the link on their end, they’ll see the new updates to it there.

Most likely then it’s the parental controls that are preventing the app from loading without requiring the administrator password. If there’s a way to disable certain apps from being affected by the controls, you’ll need to check with Apple to see if this is possible.
