Hi Joao, I removed your emails for security reasons. Regarding your issue, this is a very common factor when upgrading a phone or having the emergency backup code saved on Dropbox. The two-step verification scenario you’re experiencing is outlined in my article of the same topic. Unfortunately, without the emergency backup…

Hey there, I moved your thread to the API forum for our specialist to check it out!

Hi there, as Elixir said, there isn’t any setting like this on the iOS mobile app. It’s entirely dependent on your cellular network connection, or WiFi network speeds. Another possibility, if the camera uploads are slow, is if iCloud library, and optimize storage, is turned on. These slow the upload since it is both…

Hi Mike, just want to check something, did you create these comments in the PDF file itself before uploading it to Dropbox (i.e. in your PDF creator), or did you upload the PDF and then use Dropbox to add comments on the file? If they’re previewing it on the site, only the latter will appear. If they’re downloading the…

When you click the links, on the top right it should say Download, with a ▼ . Click that and there should be another option that says ‘Save to my Dropbox’, like so: That will save it into your own account, and then will download automatically to your machine.

Thanks for the clarification on this matter, and that you were able to resolve it on your end!

Hi there, it sounds like they shared the files with you directly to your Dropbox account. You will need to download them directly from the sharing page here, one by one when viewing the files. You can however add them to your Dropbox account if you have enough spare quota, and then it will download to your machine if the…

Hi there, it’s not possible for the Dropbox app to actively increase the reported space on your internal ****** drive. Are these Windows or Mac devices? If this is reported by the OS, then it’s unrelated to Dropbox, since the app cannot amend any system settings, or worse, falsify the actual ****** disk space.

Hi @"Hollebon", you might be interested in this thread.

Hi @"lalala1997", if that folder is in your Dropbox account and is taking up space, you can try deleting the folder when the Dropbox desktop application is paused, or closed completely. The next time it syncs, it’ll detect that the folder is missing and then remove it from your machine and the site.

It depends on how your files and folders are structured. Any files moved out of a shared folder will be deleted for all members of the shared folder, this is something that can’t be avoided, regardless if you’re using Google Drive or not. The same applies for moving files out of your Dropbox folder overall, it will delete…

Hi Gabby, sounds like you’ve got Google Drive and Dropbox linked somehow. The .tmp.drivedownload folder appears to be a temporary folder that is created every time you download something from Google Drive. Most likely, the Dropbox folder is located inside the Google Drive folder, though this is just a guess on my end. What…

Hi there, currently there isn’t a way to export all files at once, at least via the mobile app on an iOS device. There might be a method using the iOS Files app, though we wouldn’t have any info on how to do this on our end. On a desktop, you might be able to copy files from the Dropbox folder into iCloud via the method…

Thanks for the update. The Dropbox desktop application shouldn’t be creating any new folders outside of the Dropbox folder. My assumption is that Word or Powerpoint is doing it somehow (perhaps that was where the recent files were located), since it happened when you saved the file in the Dropbox folder, or there could be…

Hi Clare, if the files are saving in the Dropbox folder on your PC, but they’re not appearing online, then it means that the desktop app isn’t syncing. Could you confirm the version of the Dropbox desktop application you're running? You can do this by hovering your mouse over the Dropbox icon in the system tray or menu…

Hi Janice, while it isn’t possible for the Facebook app to import directly from Dropbox, you can do the opposite and export photos directly from your Dropbox app into the Facebook app using the following steps: - Open the file you’d like to export in the Dropbox app - Tap the ellipsis (..) on the top-right and select…

Hi Kamil, I moved your post to the API forum for our specialist to help out!

Hi there, this sounds like a read-only shared folder. You’ll need to get the owner of the folder to change your permissions to allow edit access. Hope this helps!

Hi there, what steps from this thread have you followed? Could you include them in the next post and any alternative behavior when opening the app, and then what you expect to happen!

I hope you find a solution that’ll give you the least amount of admin to do on your end!

Thanks for the detailed requirements, Alison. Sounds like how TrueCrypt works when I use it occasionally by mounting a folder of the encrypted file. Long story short, it wouldn’t work the way you want it to, since it will see it as a ****** drive that no longer exists, and thus the folder will be ‘missing’. You’ll get an…

Thanks for the info, I’ve forwarded this to our team for them to look into this matter further!

Hi there, could you try switching browsers to see if this helps? Otherwise, use incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely. Let me know how it goes!

Keep me posted with any updates!

Hi there, you can reduce licenses as Mark said to a minimum of 3 licenses, however the change will only appear on your account (and thus the reduced fee) when your account next renews, which is either in a month or year. If you can’t reduce your licenses and you did remove people in the past, check if those users were…

Hi Ilan, if you’re getting two status icons, it’s possible that it reinstalled itself twice. Could you try an advanced reinstall to see if this helps?

Oh happy day! Have a great week!

Sorry, old habits die ******, try clicking the face icon (or your custom avatar) on the top right of the screen to see the account you’re logged into on the site.

Hi there, we’ve located your ticket on the system and can see you were in communication with a senior agent. For now we’d recommend not downgrading your account, since you are on an older plan, and the senior agent is looking into this further. Just so you know however, downgrading an account will never result in your…
