Thanks for keeping us posted! Let me know if the issue re-occurs in the future. :)

There could be an option in Word to prevent users from editing the text, except for the things they need to add in, however I’m not sure if this can be done. Hopefully you’ll find a solution to your query!

A Word document can be used this way, just make sure it’s in a shared folder with edit access for everyone else to access the folder. They’ll need to have their own Dropbox account in order to access the folder. If you’re planning on having users edit the Word file using Office Online, instead of via their machines in the…

Hi Mark, what type of form are you creating? What is the filetype of the doc? Is the file located in a shared folder with edit access? Note that a shared link to the file will always be read-only Let me know more so I can assist further!

Entering a minus symbol and a number doesn’t work to show the 'Remove licenses' option? If this is the case, would it be okay to message you at the email address associated with your forum profile to assist further?

Have you followed the steps in this article? * Sign in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials. * Click Admin Console. * Select the Billing tab. * Click Manage plan. * Click Manage licenses. * Change the number of licenses in the box that appears. * To remove unneeded licenses, click Remove licenses instead. If you’re…

How many active licenses do you currently have assigned to users? Are you able to reduce the licenses in any way?

How many licenses do you have at the moment and how many do you want on your account?

Hi there, as you discovered, there is a limit of individual shared link recipients and shared folder invitations per day for Dropbox Basic, Dropbox Professional trial, and Dropbox Business trial accounts. While we don’t have any specific numbers for the daily limit, this limit is reset every day, so you will be able to…

Okay, I was under the impression you reached out to Apple directly since I referred to them in my reply. Keep me posted with any updates.
-
Are you referring to beta features on a Mac, like for a new version of Mojave? If so, this could also be a factor since the OS isn’t currently a fully tested or supported environment for the Dropbox desktop application. Regardless, you have that many files, then it can take a bit of time for time for the files to index and…

Just an update on this matter, the requirements for Dropbox Business teams to store their data on an EU server has been reduced to just 15 licenses. If there are team admins interested in this option, they’ll need to get in contact with the sales team directly.

Have you contacted Apple already about the OS not being able to recognize the correct file sizes? Regarding the deleted files page, could you try switching browsers to see if this helps? Otherwise, use incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser…

That’s definitely possible, @"Jervid". You can create a file request, and using that URL, people can upload to your account even without a Dropbox account of their own.

Mark is correct, more information about how shared folders affect quota can be found here.

You’ll only see the options for Smart Sync in Finder, since each setting is specific to the machine. Therefore, you could have all files online-only on a MacBook since there might not be enough space, but on another Mac you could have all files as local, since they have plenty of space.

Hi @"Etuttle", @"AnnB", as Rich said, make sure that if you’re using a shared link, they specifically click the ‘Direct download’ button on the top right, like so: If they’re downloading the file any other way, then they’re not downloading it correctly. [This thread is now closed by moderators due to inactivity. If you're…

If the NAS was physically connected to a computer (like you would do with an external drive) which was running the Dropbox desktop application, and the Dropbox folder was on the NAS itself, then the files could technically sync. However, this does come with its own risks for external drives, leading to potentially deleted…
-
Hi there, since your NAS appears to be using a third party app, and thus using the API for data transfer purposes, you’ve reached the monthly limit as you’ve noticed. This is the same for our Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise plans. If you want to avoid reaching the API limit, you can have the Dropbox folder on your…

As you said, unlinking the app doesn’t automatically delete the data. You can do this yourself by moving it to the trash, or if you’re uncertain, out of your Dropbox folder to another location. If you notice any problems with your 1Password app afterwards, then most likely it was still using that database from the Dropbox…

Hi Neil, long story short, Dropbox doesn’t support symlinks and never has. If they do work, it is purely luck, since the majority of the time it creates performance issues, permission failures and data loss. This article describes a little more about what symlinks could do if found in a Dropbox folder. Hope this helps!
-
Can you attach an image using this method? Regarding deleting or unlinking the 1Password app out of the apps page on the Dropbox site, this will remove the database for all other computers that sync with 1Password, causing potential issues. If you could explain exactly what you’re looking for, then I can assist. For…

No worries, have a great weekend!

Hi there, you’ll need to disconnect the 1Password app from this page. If you don’t want it to sync, do you want to move the 1Password file out of your Dropbox folder? Are you trying to store it on another cloud service, or just on your local machine? If you don’t want it to sync at all or not use 1Password again, you could…

Hi Bill, check out my answer here. You’ll need to use a CLI browser like Lynx, or simply copy and paste the link generated on a computer which does have a browser. Hope this helps!
-
If they directly shared the file to your Dropbox account, then there isn’t a URL you can copy or create. Also, if they later decide to remove your access to the file, there won’t be any way for you to access it again without asking them to re-share the file. You should have an option to download it to your computer or add…
-
Hi there, the following article does explain that this is generally related to the specifications of the machine that is syncing the files. While I don’t work in the department that maintains the app, I imagine the performance hit comes from simply having to monitor so many files at the same time. Currently, there isn’t…

How did they send you the mp4? Is it in a shared link, or via a direct share to your Dropbox account?
-
Hi there, could you clarify your question so we can assist further? Are you referring to the exact URL of an mp4 as it appears via a shared link? Let me know more!

No worries, have a great evening! :)
