Hi @"mcopehart", that’s correct, if you delete enough files to be below the Basic quota of 2 GB (plus any extra unpaid quota you earned), and cancel your plan, your account will still sync normally.

Glad to hear that you were able to resolve the issue!

Hi @"cfront" , do you have any other cloud provider, or third party apps that might add icon overlays to your files? Do you not see the icons when running the Mac in Safe Mode, with no other apps running in the background?

Hi there, if you simply want to stop two files from syncing, then I’d recommend moving them out of the Dropbox folder entirely. However, I just want to check, the Dropbox desktop application will always check for the latest version, so it should download the newer versions from the site, instead of uploading your older…

Glad to hear that you found the solution! Enjoy your week ahead. :)

Let me know how it goes when you get an update on this matter!

Dropbox doesn’t convert files from one format to another, so this change must be occurring before it is uploaded to Dropbox. When you say you’re creating the file on Office 365, are you referring to a local installation of that app, or the web version? When the file is saved in the Dropbox folder on your machine, what is…
-
Hi there, are you saving these files via the Dropbox site, Office Online, or the mobile app? Are these new files you created, or simply editing existing files? Thanks in advance!

So, the files can’t even be downloaded through the iOS Files app. Is there anything in common with the files that can’t be downloaded or opened? Are they in the same folder, path or contain similar characters in their file or folder names? Are you able to offline the files on the Dropbox mobile app? Can the files then be…

It seems that you’re accessing the file via the iOS Files interface, which appears in Keynote in the left column there. Could you try opening the iOS Files app directly, and then tap the files you want to download so that they’re local on your device in that app? Afterwards could you try opening the file directly from…

Hi there, are you using WiFi or cellular data on the iPad when accessing those docs? Could you try a different network to see if this helps? If not, are you able to open files directly from the Dropbox mobile app to then edit them in the other app? Have you updated the Numbers app and so on? Any screenshot or extra info…

Hi @"Preferred", could we contact you at your forum email address to assist further?
-
Hi @"Hikky", are you using a non-Apple mouse and keyboard, or other peripherals? If so, trying connecting official Apple devices (or unplugging those non-Apple ones) and see if this helps.
-
No update as yet, however the team have been advised about the notification preferences.
-
Hi @"vipbrands", only Dropbox Professional or Business plans plans offer Smart Sync. Could you check on this page to see if you’re on one of these plans? Thanks in advance!
-
No worries, glad to have helped! Section ➒ appreciates your services.

Thanks for the image, generally .srt files aren’t supported for viewing on the Dropbox site or mobile app. Since they are basically text files, try renaming it to .txt to view the contents, and then rename it back to .srt when done. Also my ghost says that subs>dubs.

Hi there, what’s the exact error message you’re getting when attempting to preview them in the Dropbox mobile app? A screenshot of this would help! Thanks in advance.
-
Hmm… I just tested that out here on another thread and it seems to upvote fine. If you’d like to try, you can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, or clearing your cache to see if this helps.
-
Glad to have helped with that! Thanks for the new info, this might be more related to how the integration with the iOS Files app works, since iCloud files appear the same way when viewing via their location in the app. However, I’ll forward this feedback to our dev team for their awareness to see if this can be improved in…

Hi there, in the iOS Files app, could you try tapping the ‘Edit’ button on the top right and see if the Dropbox locations are there, but deselected. If so, try enabling them, tap ‘Done’ and see if this works for you now. Keep me posted with any updates.
-
Try adding the file using this button in the post field.

Hi there, could you create a test Office file and preview it in your mobile app and send us a screenshot of what you see when you tap the file once? Thanks in advance!
-
Currently it isn’t possible to disable those specific notifications that you’re seeing, since it isn’t in the list on the Dropbox site. I can forward that suggestion to our dev team for their consideration in future.
-
I guess you could, but it would take time, and since the URL is random there’s no guarantee that you’ll get one you’re satisfied with!
-
Hi Ray, are you referring to a shared link to that file? If so, you can’t customize it to a URL you’d prefer, however you can delete and recreate the link which will generate a new link. If I’m misunderstanding something, please let me know!
-
You should be able to close the notifications when they appear. Is there no option to do so?
-
Hi Lorelei, you can disable the notifications for the Dropbox app via your own OS settings, which will prevent all Dropbox notifications from appearing on your machine. If you’re running Windows, this article might help. For Mac users, this article should assist. Hope this helps!

Looks like you’re referring to the API functions. I’ll move this thread to the correct section for the expert to assist you.
