Great news, @"dwt"! Glad to hear you were able to login to your account. :relieved:

Hi @"LNauwelaerts", thanks for messaging the Community! Could you try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely? Let me know how it goes!

The only way to verify your account when you use two-step verification is with the security code, or the mobile number, which is now no longer an option. There isn't another method to verify your identity. I’d recommend getting in contact with our support team directly to look into this matter in more detail. You can do…

Hi @"dwt", thanks for posting today! Generally, if your phone number has changed, you’ll need to use the emergency backup code generated at the time you set it up to login to your account, disable the measure, and change the number afterwards. Without the code, it wouldn’t be possible to regain access to the account. Hope…

Hi @"Doug K.", thanks for posting on the Community! The first issue you’ll experience is that the Dropbox desktop application on Linux can’t have a Dropbox folder on a drive formatted in NTFS, only Windows devices can have that option. You'll need to have the folder on a compatible file system for Linux. Generally, we…

Thanks for the info. Since they would be under separate emails, there isn't a way to access the personal account from the other account. If you have any shared folders on your account that are shared with the MyFamily account, remove them as a member so that changes won't be made to files in those folder. Hope this helps!
-
No probs, @"Marion Wilhelmy", enjoy your weekend! Just so you know, you can share folders, which will allow you to edit files inside the folder with other people, but they need a Dropbox account of their own.
-
Glad to hear that it's working now, @"msebold". Enjoy your weekend!

Do you have a Dropbox folder located in Explorer? If not, then it sounds like you’re running the S Mode app. If the app isn’t syncing with the site, try uninstalling it by right clicking the app from the Start menu, and then reinstall it from the Windows Store, if you can’t install the desktop app from the Dropbox site.…

Could you try switching browsers to see if this helps? Otherwise, use incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely. Let me know how it goes!
-
Hi @"Marion Wilhelmy", thanks for posting on the Community! Currently, all shared links are a one-way, read-only link, which don't allow any edits to files there. However, you can create Google documents and make the shared link with edit rights. Hope this helps!

Hi @"tijanamladjen", thanks for posting on the Community! If you’re on a Plus or Professional trial, you can downgrade your plan here, provided you're signed into the correct account. Please note that you’ll need to follow the instructions to fully downgrade from the trial. Let me know how it goes!

Are you using the Dropbox desktop application from the Dropbox site, or are you running the Dropbox for S Mode app from the Windows Store?
-
Thanks for the info, it looks like this matter may have been resolved. Could you let me know if you're experiencing any further issues?
-
Hi @"msebold", thanks for messaging the Community! Could you clarify if you’re dragging files onto the Dropbox website, the Dropbox desktop application, or into the Dropbox folder itself? If you’re getting any errors, what do you see there? Is the app connected to the site? Try creating a file on the site directly, does it…

Hi @"Bigalk", thanks for posting today! If you want to rename the personal Dropbox folder, you’ll need to unlink the personal and work accounts (the work account being the Myfamily account). You can unlink them using the steps here. Afterwards, a reboot of the computer would help. Let me know how it goes!

Could you provide me with the ticket ID in order to look into this matter in more detail? Thanks!
-
Hi @"stdedos", thanks for posting on the Community! We appreciate any feedback about how to improve the Dropbox desktop application.
-
Try opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into your account, and accessing this link. From there you should be able to contact support. Make sure to enter the same email you use to login to Dropbox. Thanks!
-
Hi @"Luminous", thanks for messaging today! Have you messaged the support team regarding this matter of the ban? If not, I’d recommend getting in contact with our support team directly to look into this matter in more detail. Hi @"ahikouka", thanks for posting on the Community! Are you using the new Dropbox desktop application, or the interface that appears when you click the Dropbox icon in the system tray/menu bar? You don’t need to click on the avatar. When the app is open, you can hover over the message in the bottom left to pause the…

No problem, @"lafourie", let me know if you have any further questions!

Hi @"soundconvincer", thanks for messaging the Community! As you’ve noticed, shared folders take up quota on all active members’ accounts. Users will need to have enough quota in order to be able to add and sync them to their accounts. This policy exists to prevent people from giving themselves unlimited storage space by…
-
Hi @"lafourie", thanks for joining the Community! Currently it isn’t possible to create more than one subfolder at a time, however, it’s possible that this could be done via the Dropbox API. Hope this helps!
-
The restore feature should recover the files on the account. If there are other files missing, then it means there was no backup or syncing of those files to begin with. I’m glad to hear you were able to locate another backup of your files, however!
-
Excellent news, @"Claireful", let me know if you have any further questions in future!
-
Hi @"Claireful", thanks for posting today! Let's see if we can get this file uploaded, I have the following questions about this matter: * How large is the voice memo file? * Do you have enough quota on your account to store it? * What steps are you taking to upload it to the Dropbox mobile app? Keep me posted!
