Hi @"Temperament", thanks for posting on the Community! Just to clarify, when you say you permanently deleted the file, are you referring to permanently deleting the file from this page online? Assuming the other person didn't see and copy the file, and that no one had access to other devices it could have synced to in…

Hi @"jjjjjmnmn", could you try moving the files out of the Vault via the Dropbox site to another location on your Dropbox account? When it syncs on your machine, try moving it to the location you wanted to move it to. Let me know how it goes!

Hi @"MuhammadAftab", thanks for joining the Community! Currently, it isn't possible share an entire account with other users, even on a Dropbox Business plan. his would be a breach of the terms of service, and could result in your account being terminated. I hope this helps to clarify matters.

Hi @"g v.", thanks for posting today! Are these physical files located in your Dropbox folder, or are they only visible on the Dropbox site? Could you attach a screenshot showing this, while hiding any other personal info, in order to assist further? Keep me posted!
-
Hi @"khimicho", thanks for messaging the Community! Is this a third party app or service that can connect to the Dropbox site? I'm not aware of any official integration. I'd recommend checking with them to see if they have an integration with the Dropbox API that could assist on this matter. Hope this helps!

If you're not using the Dropbox desktop application, and it is installed on your machine, try uninstalling it completely using these steps. Once it's uninstalled, you should be able to delete that folder from your machine.

Hi @"Francine G.3", thanks for posting today! Currently, there isn't a way to detect empty folders automatically via the site. Calculating the folder size would show the sizes, but you'd need to recalculate if you you navigate away from that folder. If you wish, you can suggest this change for others to vote on, so the dev…

The thread you posted is over 4 years old, and as of yet, we've not received any other reports regarding this specific matter, nor are we able to duplicate what you're experiencing. Generally, the way the OS writes and saves files isn't something that is related to Dropbox, so there isn't much else I can suggest on this…

Thanks for your patience. I've confirmed with the team that this is the expected behavior as a result of a recent change. We appreciate your feedback on this matter. If you wish, you can suggest this to be changed back for others to vote on, so the dev team can look into this in future.

Hi @"kandrew1", did you try the steps regarding the 'Optimise for Fast web view' as stated by @"joelandamber" above?
-
Hi @"slidedesignr", are you using the native Finder app on your app, or a third party file explorer when copying and pasting? If not, it sounds like there was a recent change in the OS somehow, where instead of overwriting a file, it deletes the original, thus deleting it from Dropbox along with the shared link, and then…

You're welcome, @"Stuck", I'm very happy to hear that I helped you out today, and that your computer files are no longer syncing to the site. If there's any additional info or assistance you need, please, feel free to contact me again. Enjoy your weekend!

Hi @"ajaybb", there isn't a method to sort by creation date on the Dropbox site, only by the modification date. However, if you're referring to Explorer/Finder, then it should be possible in the OS by adding or sorting that Creation date column there. Hope this helps to clarify matters!

If the files can't be located, then they might be in a private, system-only folder that can't be accessed by others apps. If this is the case, then it would no longer be accessible by the file manager or other apps directly.

Offline files are files downloaded in the Dropbox mobile app, and then saved in the file system to be used in the Dropbox app. While they are stored in the file system on the phone, this location can be changed or removed with updates, so it isn't recommended to use third party apps to directly locate files in the file…

Hi @"Stuck", thanks for joining the Community! Are you certain that you're clicking the Dropbox icon near the clock on your machine? You can see where the icon is supposed to be on this page. A single click should open the app, whereas a doubleclick will open the Dropbox folder. Keep me posted!
-
Hi @"tashrobinson", thanks for posting on the Community! Were you accessing the offline files via the Dropbox mobile app directly, or via another method with a third party app? If you were accessing the direct file location in the Android system, then this isn't something that Dropbox would support. To export multiple…

Hi @"nitzi", thanks for posting on the Community! Do you experience this issue on any other third-party app that uses fingerprint access? What is the exact behavior you get? Do you have any error messages, or the app just exits? Keep me posted!

Hi @"Martijn1", thanks for posting today! I've merged your post to this thread. Could you try the steps provided by @"Walter" in order to contact the support team directly? As this is related to sensitive account details, we wouldn't be able to assist much over the community. Let me know the ticket number when you receive…

Hi @"BandH", the Family plan is currently in beta, and is released only to a small subset of Dropbox Plus users at this time. We expect to release the Family plan broadly later this year. Hope this helps to clarify matters!

Hi @"Jowe", thanks for joining the Community! Are you able to install the Dropbox desktop application on that machine? This would allow the folders on your account to download, including the camera upload folder. If you're not able to do this, you can select multiple files using the checkboxes on the left, and then…

Hi @"gw_ufdc", currently there hasn't been any changes made to this request. I'd recommend following the steps provided by @"Daphne" to suggest this idea for other users to vote on.

Hi @"C. Wei-Bin", you can still pause by clicking the Dropbox icon near the clock, then the avatar on the top right and 'Pause syncing'. You can also click the message on the bottom left, where it should say 'Up to date' and it will pause syncing.

I've just sent you a message there, please reply to the email when yo get a chance.
