  • If you're referring to 1.25mbps for the upload speed, then it should approximate to 156.25 KB/s. Assuming there isn't an increase or decrease in speed, then for a 650 MB file, it should take 69.33 minutes to upload.
  • What error are you getting in the desktop app when you hover over the Dropbox icon in the system tray/menu bar? Have you allowed time for the video to upload, since it does depend on your bandwidth in the app, and the speed from the ISP?
  • Hi @"TGNY", I'm sorry to hear about this. Are you uploading the files directly to the Dropbox site, or via the mobile app? What steps have you tried so far?
  • Hi @RoseKnight, if you're interested in getting real time emails, you can suggest this change for others to vote on, so the dev team can look into this in future!
  • Hi @"sheepdogconcept", what device and OS are you using? What happens when you right click a file, which has a green tick on it already, and then select Smart Sync > Online only? Any information you can provide would be helpful!
  • Hi @"Glebich", an external drive can definitely lead to deleted files, as I've noted in this thread with various reasons why it can happen. Regarding the history you're seeing, this is when the deletion is officially noted on the system, since deletions aren't instant and do take time, so that you can then restore the…
  • Hi @"malvawalk", I'm sorry to hear about this situation. I can see that your support ticket has been forwarded to a specialist team. I've gone ahead and prioritized the ticket to expedite matters on your behalf. I hope this helps!
  • Hi @"JanML", thanks for messaging the Community. I'm sorry to hear about these circumstances. Unfortunately, only the owner of the shared folder can change the ownership to another user, even our support team wouldn't be able to make the change. As this is the case, you can instead create a new folder elsewhere, copy the…
  • Hi @"Javanne01", thanks for messaging the Community! The library that the Dropbox mobile app is referring to should be the camera roll. If you take a new photo, does the app upload it to the site? Could you attach a screenshot showing the settings you have for the camera upload feature? Let me know how it goes!
  • Hi @"ph26", does the PDF appear blurry when the file is downloaded to the machine? Have you tried increasing the zoom level to 100% when viewing it on the site?
  • Hi @"Joe F", are you able to move the files via the Dropbox site, and not file explorer, directly into the appropriate folders?
  • Hi @"djessel", it sounds like that backup file wasn't uploaded to Dropbox correctly, for some reason. Either the upload was interrupted (if doing it via the site directly), or the file was somehow corrupted before it reached Dropbox. As there isn't a previous version to recover, it wouldn't be possible to bring back older…
  • Thanks for the update, @"NWMTA2". Enjoy your week ahead!
  • The bad files check link is longer in use. You can use the option the Dropbox desktop application to 'view sync issues' to see if there are any problems syncing. Could you try running an incognito browser without any extensions or plugins and see if this helps?
  • Thanks for that, you can reply to the person to say that you're not interested in upgrading to Dropbox Business. Perhaps you have a custom domain name which could be associated with a company, or have many users on the same domain.
  • Thanks for the info. What are the contents of the email without going into too much detail? Are they advising about Dropbox products or unrelated matters?
  • Hi @"Authentech", thanks for messaging the Community! I'm sorry to hear about this. We're not experiencing this issue currently. Is this only on the Dropbox site, or do you have this issue when searching via the Dropbox desktop application? Keep me posted!
  • Hi anonymous, thanks for joining the Community. I'm sorry to hear about this. If the email is coming from a @dropbox.com address, then it should be an official email. Are you certain that the sender's email (and not the 'name' of the sender) shows the dropbox.com domain? Keep me posted!
  • No worries, @"NWMTA2", if you need any further help or assistance, please let me know. Enjoy your weekend!
  • It is mainly cosmetic, though it can interfere in seeing if files are syncing or up to date. If you're not using any of those apps, try disabling them permanently or upon startup, so that Dropbox would be able to show the icons.
  • Hi @"9876543210", it isn't possible to install an older version of the Dropbox mobile app, since it won't be able to sign into your account if it isn't on Android 6.0 or higher. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If there's any additional information you require, please let me know.
  • Hi @"kyliem5", thanks for messaging the Community! I'm sorry to hear about this. Are you instead referring to Dropbox, and not Onedrive, which is another cloud provider? If you are referring to Dropbox, then it sounds like you enabled the automatic computer backup feature in the Dropbox desktop application. Could you first…
  • Hi @"DoctorDada", thanks for joining the Community! The image you saw in the first screenshot was an example of what file activity would look like if you were signed into your account. It doesn't mean that those users were real or accessed the file. Hope this helps to clarify matters!
  • Hi @"rfog", thanks for messaging the Community! It looks like you might have Smart Sync enabled on your account, and possibly have other apps on your machine which use overlay icons. This could include cloud providers and other syncing apps. Try temporarily quitting them to see if this helps revert the Dropbox sync icons.…
  • If you are sharing folders to the users, then you can have free accounts accessing the folders without needing a to add them to a team account. However, the Dropbox Basic plan can hold up to 2 GB of quota, so it wouldn't be possible to have shared folders larger than that shared on the account. Let me know if you need more…
  • Hi @"Jorge4", it looks like you’re running the beta version of the Dropbox desktop application. To install our latest stable version, visit this page and switch ‘Early releases’ to Off. Afterwards, re-download the app from here and let me know how it goes!
  • Hi @"NWMTA2", thanks for posting today! Is the NWMTA Dropbox account a paid Dropbox Business team? If so, and you want users to join your team, then you'd need to purchase extra licenses for them to be able to share your quota. If you need any additional info, please let me know!
  • Hi @"Mike Gauvin", the Dropbox mobile app doesn't support direct editing of Pages, Numbers and Keynote files via the app itself at this time. As these files are package files, generally they can't be edited directly by the mobile app, and need to be accessed by either exporting the file to the other app, or opened in that…
  • Does this behavior only occur in the Dropbox folder, or on any other folder on your machine?
  • No worries, @"Inesita", I'm glad to hear it's working better with Excel for the web. Let me know if you require any further assistance in future. Enjoy your weekend!
