  • Hi @"Morgan101010", could you check if the timezone is correct on the Dropbox site from the previous link @"Daphne" provided?
  • This would be the reason then, since you can only have one permission for shared folders. Subfolders in shared folders can't have different permissions, unless they're in a team folder on a paid Dropbox Business team. The best method would be to have them as separate shared folders, so each shared folder could have their…
  • Hi everyone, I've checked again regarding your concerns and have the following information on the telemetry domain. Using our Telemetry alias, we do not gather any data that is related to GDPR. The data gathered through this alias is user and device agnostic. This alias primarily reports error logs to our team to better…
  • Hi @"juerg", I'd need some more clarification to understand your structure. Are these all individual Dropbox accounts with their own emails, and the folders are shared to each user? Are these all different shared folders, or just subfolders in the main shared folder? If the folders are not subfolders, then you should be…
  • Hi @"PhantomRick", this is due to a recent change in the Android app, which you can see more details about here.
  • Hi @"MBernhardt", an alias wouldn't be able to sync another folder into the Dropbox folder, including the computer backup folders. It won't sync to another machine for that reason.
  • What browser have you been using that was unable to view the Dropbox site correctly? Is it one of the recommend browsers here?
  • Hi @"Albwal", have you tried the steps provided in the previous messages to see if they help?
  • Hi @"Christopher1020", if you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try uninstalling the app, rebooting the device, and then reinstalling it to see if this helps?
  • Okay, so the PDF document appears on the site as a PDF document, so it isn't converted from another filetype. Could you clarify where the issue is exactly? Are you trying to edit the file via a shared link? Are you logged into your own account? Does the file download without the fillable fields?
  • Please could you attach a screenshot showing exactly what your browser is showing? Does the mouse wheel or trackpad on your device not allow you to scroll down?
  • Thanks for the info. Could you try switching browsers to see if this helps? Otherwise, use incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely.
  • Hi @"Clzufall", thanks for posting today! I'm sorry to hear about this. Are you experiencing this on the Dropbox site or the desktop or mobile app? Any info you can provide would be great!
  • If you're uploading to the site directly on the browser, then yes, you'll have today's date. If you're moving the files into a Dropbox folder on your machine, then the OS should keep the original dates, and those are the dates that will appear on the Dropbox site when they sync up.
  • Hi @"agundlach", thanks for messaging the Community! This depends on how you sync the file to your account, and how the file is edited or saved. Generally, if a file in the Dropbox folder, and is then edited and saved, the modification date of the file would change to the current time. Uploading any file from your machine…
  • Hi @"yvettescott", thanks for messaging today! Before you upload the file, is it already a PDF file, or was it another type of document? PDF files can be edited using one of the extensions on the Dropbox site directly, if you're referring to editing files online. Let me know more so that I can assist further!
  • Glad to hear it, @"mphcoach"! Let me know if you need any further assistance in future. Enjoy your week!
  • I'm sorry to hear about this, @"ChristinaE". Since they had an iCloud extension, have you checked if the files are available on iCloud itself?
  • Could you try uninstalling the app, rebooting the phone, and reinstall it to see if this helps?
  • Hi @"ryanstud", while there isn't a way to get a daily email, there is a weekly digest for shared folders. Additionally, there are desktop notifications for new files when the app is online, and these can be adjusted using these steps.
  • Hi @"Threlly", currently, it isn't possible to disable this via the Dropbox desktop application. The information would be sent to the dev team, to further improve the Dropbox desktop application.
  • Hi @"Maemae76", thanks for posting on the Community! I'm sorry to hear about this. Have you tried these steps to reset the PIN on your Dropbox Vault? If you get an error when doing so, please let me know!
  • Hi @"mphcoach", thanks for messaging today! I'm sorry to hear about this matter. Could you try disabling and re-enabling the camera upload setting on the phone? Is background uploading enabled on the device? Could you attach a screenshot showing the camera upload settings on the app? Thanks!
  • Hi @"MissRennyWD", thanks for messaging today! I'm sorry to hear about this. Could you clarify if you've tried opening the video in another video player instead of QuickTime? Does the file preview on the site for all the other users? Are you getting this issue when people download the file directly to their machines via…
  • Hi @"Threlly", @"GlynH", and everyone else in this thread, thanks for your patience. Our dev team have informed us that they use telemetry.dropbox.com as a channel to receive client side logging, error reporting, and other metrics. This is listed as a trusted domain since the primary domain itself is 'dropbox.com'. The…
  • Hi @"Tom Tom", thanks for joining the Community! Currently, the option to create file requests can be done on the Dropbox site and the Dropbox desktop application. The option to do so on the mobile app isn't available at this time. If you wish, you can suggest this change for others to vote on, so the dev team can look…
  • For deleting files there is a prompt, but you get an option to not show that message again, which is probably why you're not seeing it currently. The security feature has been around for some time, so we don't have a date for this change. Installing an older version of the Dropbox desktop application wouldn't help here…
  • That's correct, however, bear in mind that failed uploads also count, so if they try to upload a file and then fail, the failed upload also counts towards your bandwidth limit.
  • Hi @"cascadeCommons", thanks for messaging the Community! Currently, there isn't a daily limit on the number of file requests you can create, however, there is a daily bandwidth limit for shared links and file requests, which can be found here. Hope this helps to clarify matters!
  • We appreciate the feedback, as this is a team folder, this would be a security feature to ensure that you're aware that you're moving files to and from the folder itself, which could affect other members. If you wish, you can suggest and idea to remove this prompt, for others to vote on, so the dev team can look into this…
