No worries, thanks for the update, @"afk"! Enjoy your week ahead!

Hi @"ChrisC_", due to the nature of temporary files, they are constantly in use by the specific app until it is released, where the file is usually deleted. If multiple files are created, and are in use by the app, then the Dropbox desktop application wouldn't be able to sync these files until the lock was released. You…

Hi @"xyz12341", thanks for messaging the Community! Do you know if you enabled the computer backup feature on your device? The folder that was left behind on your computer, are your missing files located in there? If the missing files weren’t syncing to your account, then it wouldn’t be possible to recover them from…

Could you forward screenshots showing what you're experiencing? Are the Word documents in a shared folder, or anywhere on your account?
-
Are you getting these messages solely for online-only files, or do you get them for local files as well?
-
Hi @"afk", thanks for messaging today! We're not experiencing any similar issues to this currently.. If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try uninstalling the app, rebooting your device, and reinstalling it? Keep me updated with any progress!

Hi @"Kat6", thanks for joining the Community! Dropbox wouldn't convert your videos to still images, as there isn't a feature like that available. How did you transfer the files to Dropbox? Was it using the automatic camera upload feature, manually uploading files to the site, or by moving them into the Dropbox folder? Do…

Hi @"martychaos", thanks for posting today! This is more of an issue that can occur with Windows, where a modification date of a file can be changed to the year 1601. Some research on this matter can be made after checking on the web regarding this date, and could possibly be a conflict with Windows/Unix systems on how…

I'm happy to hear it's working again, @"StarBootics". If you need any further assistance, please let me know. Enjoy the rest of your week!

Do you have an option like this in your version of Word?
-
Were any of those files backed up to Dropbox before you returned the computer? Are they visible on the site, so you can download them to your new computer?
-
Hi @"vico_help", thanks for posting today! If you're not seeing a billing tab, then it's possible that you're no longer on a paid plan. Could you check what plan you're on according to this page? You can see any receipts on your account, even if you've never paid for a plan, on this page. If you need any further…

Hi @"LordRugby", you can try contacting support to see if they're able to investigate this matter in more detail from their end.
-
Hi @"usrcm", generally when you see one, there's an option to disable them with a checkbox to prevent seeing them again. Are you on a Mac or Windows device?
-
Hi @"RHW1", could you try uninstalling the extension, rebooting the browser, and re-installing it to see if it helps?
-
Hi @"nivg", thanks for joining the Community! If this Family folder you used before was a shared folder, then this is why, since you can't move a shared folder into the Family Room folder. The Family Room folder is already shared among the family members, and can't be shared to anyone who isn't part of the Family. To work…

Hi @"Doctordns", what happens if you try to delete the folder from the Dropbox site directly? What is the exact error message you get? A screenshot showing this would help greatly!
-
Hi @"bgr", thanks for messaging today! I appreciate the input on the forum. This should help any other user from that region is they have similar issues installing the Dropbox desktop application. Enjoy your week!
-
Hi @"StarBootics", thanks for posting today! Could you clarify exactly which context menu you're missing on your device? Have you tried reinstalling the Dropbox desktop application to see if this helps? Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!
-
Hi @"Michael Myers_", thanks for joining the Community. Provided that you're abiding by the terms of service, and the acceptable use policy, then no action will be taken on your account. Hope this helps to clarify matters!

Hi @"Researchboy", thanks for posting today! Are you trying to edit the doc on the Word Online app directly when opening it via the Dropbox mobile app? Are you a member of a Dropbox Business team, or are you opening the files while on a personal account? Could you try clearing the cache in the Word app to see if this…
-
Hi @"butterbisc", thanks for taking the time to message us! In general, you don't need to create a file transfer in order to move files from one device to another. Have you signed into the Dropbox desktop application on both computers? If so, then the Dropbox folder would be the best way to move files across, by having…

I understand your frustration over this matter. It is possible to download entire folders from the Dropbox site directly, provided it's no greater than 20 GB in size, or more than 10,000 files in that folder. If you experience any further issues when downloading the files, please let me know!
-
Hi @"RRKKY", if you get an error when opening the zip file, it could mean that it was corrupt because it didn't download completely. Since you've uninstalled the app, and also emptied the trash, could you try downloading the files from the site in smaller batches and let me know how it goes?
-
Hi @"Pups Ivan", have you tried the info provided here to see if this helps?
-
There is a possibility that the file itself is corrupt, which is why it will no longer preview. Could you try another browser to download the file, since you haven't mentioned if you tried that yet?
-
The only possibility that I can think of is that the ability to export from Dropbox to iBooks has been disabled by the developer itself. You could try exporting to another app, and then see if that app allows you to export into iBooks.
-
Hi @"cmulliga", thanks for messaging today! Could you clarify which thread you are referring to here, in order to be able to assist further? I assume that quitting the application from the menu bar at the top of the screen isn't helping to quit the app? Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!

Hi @"JM_605", thanks for joining the Community! I understand your frustration over this matter. What happens when you click 'Set up', does it show any folders being selected already? Could you describe why you can't unlink the the device from the Dropbox site? What error do you get, and have you tried another browser to do…
