Hi @"wadeg", in order for the file to appear in Finder, you'll need to create a shared folder, invite the other user, and have the file located there. It will sync to both machines, and you can edit it via your machine, so any changes will sync to the site, and then their device.

Hi @"Angelina-Linta", @"brett_mileshko", @"PowerliftDumbwaiters", thanks for posting today! I've merged you to this thread with users experiencing the same issue, could you try what they suggested to see if this helps? Keep me updated with any progress!

Could you try disabling any extensions you have running in Safari? Do other browsers aside from Edge work? What device are you using Safari on, and what OS?
-
Do you use the DuckDuckGo extension? If so, could you try these steps that other users have noticed to see if this helps?
-
Hi @"Black Fly", thanks for providing these details! What error are you getting when previewing it in Safari? Does the link work in any other browser aside from Edge? You can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely to see if this…

Thanks, I've sent you an email, please could you reply to it when you get a chance.
-
What device and OS are you using on your mobile? Are you downloading the file via a shared link, or directly from own Dropbox account?
-
To look into this matter further, would it be possible to contact you at the email associated with your forum profile?
-
Hi @"HejKay", thanks for messaging today! Are you trying to preview or download the epub file from the site? Are you exporting it to a third party app instead? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"MikeMurray978", thanks for messaging the Community. I understand your frustration over this matter. If you cancelled or deleted your account, then it means that you might have another Dropbox account which is being charged. You could try checking the card lookup tool to see which account it's associated with. If you…

Glad to hear you were able to resolve this matter, @"RomainT". If you need any further assistance, please let me know. Enjoy your week ahead!

Hi @"RomainT", thanks for posting today! In order to look into this matter in more detail, could you contact the support team directly using this link? Once you get a ticket ID from the automated response, please let me know the number here so I can locate it in our system!

Hi @"TG6", if you no longer have access to the Dropbox account, and the Dropbox desktop application is no longer linked to the account in question, then you should be able to delete the folders from your computer. Even if somehow it was still linked to your account, there is an option to recover files from the site for the…

Hi @"SuzyS", thanks for joining the Community! This is what I would have suggested as well, uninstalling the existing app, rebooting the device, and re-iinstalling it again. I'm glad to hear you were able to resolve it on your device. If you need any further assistance in future, please let me know!

Glad to have helped out, @"Diana28"! If you have any further questions, please let me know. Enjoy your week ahead!

Hi @"Diana28", thanks for posting today. Shared links can have edit privileges for Google Docs and Microsoft files. The image you have there is for an Excel file, which is why there's a link to allow users to edit the file itself. Any other file would not have this permission, so team folders can't be edited the same way,…

If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, have you tried an advanced reinstall of the app using the steps in this link?
-
Hi @ryweatrow, thanks for joining the Community! If your file is stored in the Dropbox folder, and there is no internet, then you can edit and save files on your machine using the local Word app like you would with any other docx file. However, the files will only sync when the app is online again. This means you'll lose…

When using the camera uploads feature, any images in the camera roll are uploaded with the correct metadata into a Camera Uploads folder. Moving files into the Dropbox folder would retain the metadata when it's uploaded to the site, so if you can copy the files to your computer, and then to the folder, then it would sync…

It looks like they're simply logged into your Dropbox account in the browser, hence why that option to connect is there You can tell them to sign out of your account by visiting this link. They might also have a password manager that automatically logs in on your account, if your password has been saved there. You can ask…

It is possible to create a new Dropbox account under a different email, and you can then copy your files from one account to another manually, or via shared folders. However, my concern is how they're accessing your account. Could you clarify exactly what they're seeing on their end? Is their Multicloud account somehow…
-
Hi @"LBNLBNLBN", thanks for contacting us! Currently, Live Photos aren't supported in the iOS mobile app with the camera upload feature. Uploading via the plus button will only keep the jpg portion of the file, and metadata will be changes slightly since the creation date will be the moment you upload the file (which is…
-
Hi @"****** Mooney", it sounds like you might have used this software to connect to your Dropbox account. You'll need to unlink it from Dropbox itself. If you don't have access to it, then try disconnecting your Dropbox account from here. If Multicloud is there, this will disconnect your account from there, so bear that in…

Yes, a .icloud file is a file that has been uploaded to iCloud, so the file is simply a placeholder, which you can see by the file size being only 178 bytes, which is extremely small for any file. Since it looks like the files can't be recovered by Dropbox, you'll need to see if there's another recovery service or app that…
-
Could you check the version history of one of the files to see if you can recover an old version with all the data in it? You can also try using a third party app or service to recover files from your computer.
-
Glad to have helped out, @"MJoergensen"! If you need any further assistance, please let me know. Enjoy the remainder of your week!

If you attempt these steps, then it means you won't be able to sign into the Dropbox desktop application again on that device, since you're over the 3 device limit for Basic accounts. We appreciate the feedback about the event viewer logs and have noted this on our system.
-
Hi @"sophiieallan", it definitely sounds like the file is now a .icloud file. If you attach a screenshot, it should be visible in the file name. The UFO icon indicates that it can't be previewed on Dropbox, so most likely all those files you see are now .icloud files. This happens if you use iCloud to backup your files, it…

Hi @"Boyan M.", thanks for posting today, I've merged you to this post with similar queries. The offline file feature only allowed files to be accessed from within the Dropbox mobile app, and not via the file manager. If this was possible via an Android device, then this was unintended, and the app has been since been…

Is NS the team admin on that Dropbox Business team? The team admin does have the ability to prevent permanent deletions on any file in their account.
