Hi @"tonyalt", the Dropbox site would zip the files into one file to allow for the download afterwards. There is an upper limit on what the zip feature can handle, which is why my colleague asked how many files there were.

Hi @"xuser06", it can take some time to begin backing up the drive when you first enable it. How long have you waited for the process to be completed?
-
What does the quota page say on your account? A screenshot of this would help greatly.
-
Hi @"misterjackpots", most likely it could be related to the recent changes to the Mac OS version of the Dropbox desktop application. As it appears to be related to Logic Pro itself not detecting the recent file, it might be worth contacting them for support on this matter.

Hi @"Snugglebugglewoowoo", thanks for messaging the Community! Currently, there is no direct method of connecting Dropbox to an FTP server or vice versa. If there is an integration, it would be provided by a third party app or service. I'll leave this thread open for other users to comment their suggestions.

Hi @"MtnBiker", thanks for bringing this to our attention. If your machine is showing less data than the site, then you could be using selective sync to prevent entire folders from syncing, or your files are online-only. According to your quota page, what is the exact amount you're using? A screenshot would be helpful. Do…

Hi @"ian01", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Just to check, is the original shared folder (without the conflict folder name) a folder with view/only properties (and have a lock on the folder itself), or are you able to edit files in that folder? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"RD photos", could you attach a screenshot showing what you're describing?
-
Hi @"JUEFS", if you're not receiving the verification code, could you try using the emergency backup code to login to your account to temporarily disable two-step verification?
-
Hi everyone, is the file marked as online-only, available offline or available as per this article?
-
We don't have any information on future developments to the Dropbox desktop application, however, we do appreciate your feedback on this matter as noted in the other thread you replied to.
-
Hi @"MikeHLondon", thanks for messaging the Community. Are you referring to the Linux version of the Dropbox desktop application, or also for Mac and Windows OS versions? This will help me to assist further.
-
Hi @"Csansom001", most likely you have a recent Mac running on the M1 Silicon chip, which is ARM-based. Currently, the Dropbox desktop application for Windows cannot run on an ARM chip, and only the S Mode version of the app can be installed. If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.

In order to look into this matter in more detail, would it be possible to reach out to the email associated with your forum profile?
-
Hi @"Trisk", in order to look into this matter in more detail, would it be possible to reach out to the email associated with your forum profile? anonymous, have you tried reinstalling the app?
-
Hi @"ns01", it's possible that this could be related to the recent changes to the Mac OS Dropbox desktop application.
-
Hi @"AnnaWing", currently it wouldn't be possible to log this since opening a folder isn't the same as opening a file. It is essentially the same as navigating down the file structure, and at the end you pick a file to view. It would also create hundreds of log entries daily when users search for files in their Dropbox…
-
Hi @"deswattis", for this idea, are you referring to shared folders or team folders? IS this within a Dropbox Business team, or a personal account only?
-
Hi @"superfly1", just to check, do you know what the name of the file is on the other end after the upload was complete? Generally, with file requests, the user's name is also added to the file, so it would look like John Smith - test file.txt.
-
Hi @"jazzkat10us", if you enabled a backup via your phone, you might be referring to the camera upload feature. Have you tried these steps to disable it from your phone?
-
Hi @"bgovindji", if the files are 0 bytes, this means there's literally no data in them, so no program would be able to preview the files. Essentially, the files were deleted by having all the code in the file deleted. Do you see any edit history for those files in the events page?
-
Do you have the Dropbox desktop application installed, and can you copy files via Explorer/Finder instead?
-
Hi @"cinnil", this information can be found in this article, along with other changes to the new version of the Dropbox desktop application.
-
Yes, in order to setup the computer backup, both the Dropbox folder and the Documents, Downloads, Desktop folders would need to be on the C drive. They'd also need to remain there permanently. Moving the Dropbox folder back to the C drive isn't the issue, since it can be done in the desktop app settings, although it sounds…
-
From your description, it sounds like you're uploading to the Dropbox site, since the Dropbox desktop application doesn't have a failed message. Have you tried dragging the file into the Dropbox folder on your computer, and not in the web browser?
-
Hi @"TokWae", thanks for messaging the Community. In general, refunds are offered according to this article. Could you clarify what form you're referring to? Is this to submit a support request? This will help me to assist further!
-
When was your first email sent to you in French? Is it for any email sent regarding the community? Could you try temporarily switching to French and then back to English to see if this helps?
-
Are you dragging the files from your PC onto the Dropbox website directly, or, if you have the Dropbox desktop application, are you dragging them into the Dropbox folder? Currently, there isn't a feature to copy from other cloud services to Dropbox, though there may be some third party apps or services that are able to…
-
Thanks for the info. If you do plan on using computer backup, the Dropbox folder would need to remain on the C drive, so you won't be able to move it to another drive, either internal or external.
-
It sounds like computer isn't setup on your machine, since you're getting the option to set it up when you select folders. Could you attach a screenshot of what you're seeing on this page?
