  • Hi @"Julesa01", are these photos taken from a recent iOS device? Is it possible that they're heic files and not jpg images?
  • Hi @"joyce9282", does it show how much time is remaining for the files to get synced in the bottom right of the desktop app, and how much data needs to be transferred, like in your first image?
  • Hi @"acs210", since this file appears in the App folder, which is only accessed by that app specifically, then it should be related to some kind of setting in the app itself. What does the version history say when you look into the file? Was it created by the app?
  • Hi @"pamchromebook", are the files in Dropbox stored locally on the device, or are they online-only, meaning they have to be downloaded each time?
  • This email is generally sent if the Dropbox site is accessed and logged in from an unknown location, or if using a VPN, along with other security detection methods. Setting the network to public or private shouldn't make any difference when it comes to logging into the site.
  • You are able to store images on Dropbox and you can upload them to the site using a file request, or directly via the Dropbox API.
  • It looks like the Dropbox folder in Finder is a shortcut to its real location, which appears to be in the CloudStorage location (since it's no longer in Favorites). You can confirm this by viewing the preferences in the Dropbox desktop application and seeing what folder is visible on the Sync tab.
  • Could you try marking the file as offline first in the Dropbox mobile app? Once it's offline, try exporting it to your iPad storage, and it should be visible in the iOS Files app in the On my iPad / Downloads section.
  • Hi @"vrkris", have you already tried contacting the support team regarding this matter?
  • Hi @"barbiesa", did you actually follow these steps to delete that account entirely?
  • Hi @"Stewart_Bowman", are you trying to delete the photos from the Photos tab directly, or from the specific folder in the Files page?
  • Hi @"almsunny", if you're being charged but are on a Basic plan, then either you have another Dropbox account under a different email, or the subscription hasn't been applied to your account. According to your bank statement, was the charge made by Dropbox, iTunes, or Google Play?
  • Just to check, are they now showing the correct filesizes, if they are online-only, which should be zero-bytes?
  • You should be able to attach an image to the forum using the camera icon, or by copying/pasting the screenshot directly from your clipboard.
  • Hi @"RogerLin", currently there isn't a feature like what you're requesting. Regarding zero-byte files, they wouldn't be able to be uploaded to the site directly. However, by placing them in the Dropbox folder, when you have the Dropbox desktop application installed, they would sync to the site normally.
  • This would be the reason then, since restoring from a computer backup would add the files onto your account directly. External drive backups are different, and would need to be downloaded via the method shown in my previous link, which would be by zipping the drive and downloading it. If the drive is large, you can try…
  • Hi @"Christian D.", in general, it depends on how the OS performs the copy/paste function. If a file is dragged into the location in Explorer/Finder, it should technically overwrite the file and retain the shared link. However, this might not be case, as you've discovered when using the command line. The best way to ensure…
  • Hi @"adrian29630", you can leave the shared folder from your account, or remove your access to it completely, by following these steps. It won't affect other users who are currently members of the shared folder.
  • Hi @"dancassidy", could you clarify exactly what you're creating? If you're still seeing the sidebar, then you might've created a shared folder. If you want to create a shared link with view-only permissions to that folder for others to view on the site, then you can follow these steps.
  • I'm not certain what you're referring to. Do you mean if someone is running an older version of the Dropbox app itself on another device? The files should still sync in these instances, however, the Dropbox desktop application will generally update automatically to the latest version on any supported device.
  • Hi @"AFF", just for clarification, were you previously using the Dropbox mobile app to scan files, or the Dropbox Scan app, which is no longer available?
  • If you wish, you can post your comments in this thread.
  • Hi @"Juliane01", thanks for messaging the Community. Are you referring to the code sent to you via email, or the verification code from a security app? This will help me to assist further!
  • Hi @"Garryx", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Just for clarification, are there no backups visible on this page on your account? This will help me to assist further!
  • Hi @"MikeDodson", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are you certain that these files are taking up disk space on your machine? Are the files online-only or local in Finder? This will help me to assist further!
  • Hi @"santod2020", thanks for messaging the Community. Could you clarify how your program links to Dropbox? Are the images stored on your Dropbox account? This will help me to assist further!
  • Hi @"Cappa57", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Since it sounds like the Dropbox folder has moved due to being on the new version for Mac OS, this is why you're experiencing this new behavior. As your symlinks no longer seem to work any longer, you could try using the computer backup feature to have your folders…
  • Hi @"glenn", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you clarify what emails you're receiving from Dropbox to complete your storage? A screenshot of this, while hiding any personal info, would be greatly appreciated!
  • Hi @"erpaolo77", thanks for bringing this to our attention. As it sounds like you're on the new version of the Dropbox app for Mac OS, Apple no longer allows Photos Library to be stored over cloud-storage services. If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.
  • Hi @"HongStarr", thanks for bringing this to our attention. It looks like your Dropbox account is migrating from the old Dropbox folder location to the new CloudStorage location. Do you have any remaining files in the old location on your device, or do you still have both Dropbox folders visible? This will help me to…
