Hi @"ElaineD", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you clarify the message they're getting when attempting to upload files to your Dropbox account? Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!

Hi @"FireFishMike", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Dropbox Dash is a valid application that is currently in beta. Did you notice this version of the app you're referring to after visiting the Dropbox site, or another random site? This will help me to assist further!
-
You're clicking on the wrong ellipsis, could you try clicking this ellipsis when hovering over the folder itself in the parent folder?
-
If the folder is empty on the site, then this does mean that the folder is empty. You'll need to contact the owner of the shared folder for them to look into this further.
-
The screenshots don't show anything regarding moving folders, because you don't move folders using those methods. What happens if you select the folder on the Dropbox site by hovering over the folder (while in the parent folder) and see what options you get when clicking the ellipsis that appears on the right?

Hi @"Klegan", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Does the shared folder have any files when you view it on the Dropbox site directly? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"DenverDTS", thanks for bringing this to our attention. What options do you get when clicking the share button in the Dropbox folder and the Dropbox site? Are you on a Dropbox Business team or a personal account? This will help me to assist further!
-
Sorry, could you clarify where you 'opened Dropbox'? Did you open the Dropbox site and then upload the files, from your connected phone, to the site?
-
Hi @"TAnon", do you have any programs that could be affecting the Dropbox app or folder, and prevent it from updating?
-
Hi @"yd19", the Photos tab is simply used as a way to view all the photos on your account, without having to search for them manually. It doesn't take up any additional quota on your account.
-
Okay, so you physically connected the phone to your computer. How did you upload the files? Did you get a Dropbox prompt asking to upload your images using the Dropbox desktop application?
-
Hi @"EJHenn", thanks for messaging the Community! Did you upload the images manually to your Dropbox account, or via the automated camera upload feature? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"Gabriele M.2", thanks for messaging the Community! In general, it isn't possible to sync external folders into the Dropbox folder. You'll need to have any file or folders within the Dropbox folder itself if you want them to sync to the site. If you need any further assistance, please let me know!
-
Hi @"khaleeq96", could you try clearing the browser cache and then try the searching again?
-
Do you have Adobe Creative Cloud installed on your device?
-
Is it possible to attach an image of what the Bluebeam app shows, and what is visible in the Dropbox folder on the same level, while hiding any personal names or info?
-
They should be able to rename and move the folder on their account. What specific error do they get when attempting to do so? Is it only that user who gets this error? Are they doing this from the Dropbox site, or via the Dropbox folder (if they have the app installed)?
-
Okay, so this means it should have access to your entire Dropbox account, and not just the Apps folder like some other apps. Do the folders that appear in the app have anything in common? What about the folders that don't appear in the app? Any special characters, symbols (like the : or | symbol), or even folder length?
-
Hi @"Susan D.11", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are you certain that this is a normal shared folder that they are adding to their account? Are they on the Dropbox Business team as you? Is the sharer also part of a different Dropbox Business team? This will help me to assist further!

Hi @"Lboegen", how large the PDF files in question in terms of MB?
-
Hi @"leomontenegro", if you're able to upgrade the OS to a newer version, you'll be able to run the Dropbox desktop application. If not, you might be able to access the site via the browser, though, bear in mind that access there too might be affected since the newest versions of browsers don't run on the older OS, which…
-
Hi @"ywriter_user", we appreciate the feedback. Currently, it isn't possible to upload zero-byte files or empty folders to the Dropbox site. Are the zip backups you mentioned 0 bytes?
-
Hi @"Scott B.26", what permissions does the Bluebeam app have when you view it on this page? Could you copy and paste them into your next reply?
-
Since OneDrive might be more integrated with Access, given that they're both Microsoft products, it's possible that they have workarounds built into their systems. For Dropbox, opening an Access database, while already open elsewhere, would result in a conflicted copy since the act of opening a database could write…
-
Hi @"sgupta304", could you try switching browsers to see if this helps? Otherwise, you can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely.
-
As my colleague suggested, are the files available offline or online-only? You can check the status by looking at the sync icons. Try marking them as available offline first, and then see if they can copy to the external drive.
-
Hi @"HCeeP", if the files are not visible on the events page or the deleted files page, then it wouldn't be possible to recover them, unfortunately, even with a rollback of the account.
-
Has this behavior occurred since switching to a new phone, or has it always been like this on all your devices?
-
Are you running the command from within the Dropbox folderpath itself?
-
Do you have anything in this article (such as an iPhoto library or certain file types) which could be affecting the move to File Provider?
