Hi @"TOBES33", thanks for bringing this to our attention. I've moved your post into a new thread as it was unrelated to the previous discussion. Are these files in random locations in your Dropbox folder, or are they all in one specific location? Is this a private or shared folder? This will help me to assist further!

Hi @"Karen1961", if you dragged the file out of your Dropbox folder, then the shared link would be deleted. My colleague suggested restoring the file, which is done via the website. This should restore the old shared link. Dragging the file back into your Dropbox folder, as you mentioned you did, wouldn't restore the link,…

The article I linked previously contains this information. Change the dl=0 in your shared link to a file to raw=1, and it'll preview in a browser.
-
Thanks for the info. Currently, it's only possible to render images and videos from shared links on your account via a browser, and not the shared link to a folder itself.
-
Hi @"RichardP11", thanks for posting today! Are you referring to displaying an image that it located on your Dropbox account? Are you going to be using shared links, or some other method to do so? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"BeachBum1085", if you sign out of the Dropbox desktop application, and then sign into the other account, that account's files will then begin to sync down to your computer. What error did you get exactly when trying to do so?
-
Hi everyone, the issue you're experiencing could be related to the recent File Provider update to the Dropbox desktop application. Unfortunately, syncing Logic Pro library files on cloud-storage services (including Dropbox) is no longer supported on macOS 12.5 or later. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi @FuelOn, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are you connected to a stable WiFi connection? Have you tried using a different network, or cellular data instead? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"rtenny", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you try the advanced reinstall of the app again using the steps in this link, just to be certain, since this is the best method of getting the app to run? This will help me to assist further!
-
Could you try this command for the beginning portion of the Terminal prompt?
-
Hi @"JoB76", have you checked my post to see if you have anything that could be blocking the Dropbox domains? Does another computer on the same network have this same issue?
-
Hi @"cruxt", thanks for the ticket ID. I can see that you're currently in communication with a specialist agent regarding this matter. They'll be able to continue to assist you from there on. I've gone ahead and prioritized the ticket to expedite matters on your behalf.

Hi anonymous, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Since the folder and file have spaces in them, you need to add quotation marks (") from before the /Users/ path to after the .lrdata part of the argument. Keep me updated with any progress!

That can be done by following the suggestion I made earlier. If we assume your whole team has 10 people (meaning in the default 'Everyone at' group), but the group you want has 3 only, create a group (Finance for instance) and add those 3 members to it. Add that group to the Finance team folder, which should have the…
-
You can use groups to invite certain people to view or edit folders. Any person not a member of these groups wouldn't be able to see those folders at all. Just make sure to remove the default 'Everyone at' group, once you've assigned the group members to the folders, in order to remove the entire team from those folders.

Hi @"Richard Anthony", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Just for clarification, are these normal shared folders, or are they team folders (if you're part of a Dropbox Business team)? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"Chemist", are you certain that you're clicking the small Dropbox icon near the clock on the system tray? What happens if you Ctrl-click that icon?
-
Hi @"matteorox", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Is it possible that you're running the new File Provider version of the Dropbox desktop application for Mac OS? The Photos library is no longer supported by Apple for it to located in the Dropbox folder, and needs to be moved. This will help me to assist further.
-
So, just to clarify again, are you trying to get the Windows installation to see the Dropbox folder which is stored on a Mac volume, or is there a separate Dropbox folder for the Windows installation? Is the path for the Windows folder a symlink or alias to the Mac Dropbox folder?
-
Hi @"LivT", thanks for the info. I'd recommend replying to the support ticket directly to advise that the information isn't helpful to your issue. I've also gone ahead and prioritized the ticket to expedite matters on your behalf.

Hi @"witek-27400", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you try marking the file as offline first in the Dropbox mobile app? Afterwards, try downloading or exporting the file to your device. Keep me updated with any progress!
-
HI @"fmk1", if the owner of the file has allowed them to be downloaded, then you can download them onto your computer. If they've disabled downloads, then you'll only be able to access those files via their shared link, which does rely on them keeping the files on their account.
-
Hi @"arnets10", Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
-
Hi @"Mike94", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you attach a screenshot showing the error message you're referring to? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"jakercd530", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are you certain that the external drive is formatted in NTFS format for the Dropbox desktop application to accept it as a location? This will help me to assist further!
-
HI @"KylHaz", @"RMox", I’d recommend getting in contact with our support team directly to look into this matter in more detail. You can do this by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into your account, and accessing this link. From there you should be able to contact support. Make sure to pick an…

Hi @"Enrico P.3", thanks for messaging the Community. There isn't any official app as such, aside from the mobile document scanner. However, the search feature on the Dropbox site can use the built-in OCR to detect words in your file, depending on what plan you're on. If you have any further queries, feel free to message…
-
Hi @mausoftware, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Does the Windows OS detect the Dropbox folder on the Mac OS, or is there a separate folder located in Windows? Could you clarify exactly how this works? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"iasstudygroup", if you click on a recently recovered file (not a folder), and check the version history, does it show any username or device name?
-
Hi @"kvinna", thanks for the info. I can see that a support agent is assisting you with your query under that ticket ID, so they'll be able to continue from there on.
