Hey @"ekmaster23", thanks for bringing this to our attention. It's a pretty strange issue, indeed. These third party services, are they simply turned off? Have you tried temporarily removing them completely, to see if that makes any difference? Is this team member using the most recent version of the Dropbox app and what's…

Hey @"1839162", thanks for letting us know and sorry to see you're having this issue. Can you send us a screenshot of that message? Have you tried clearing up the Dropbox app cache, to see if it helps? To do so, open the app, tap on "account", then on the gear icon and then on "clear cache". Let me know how it goes.

Hey from me as well, @"ken_804". A simultaneous deletion/addition event for the same file usually means that it was moved from one location to another; deleted from one location and added to the new one. If you search for the folder in your account online, what do you see?
-
Hey @"ponge77", does this only happen with your Dropbox folder and no other folders on your computer? Also, if you close the Dropbox app and try to replicate the issue, does it persist?
-
Happy to hear that, @"nsawicki"! If you need anything else, just give us a shout. 🙂
-
Not a problem, @"VAExcellence"! If you need anything else, let us know.
-
Hey @"nsawicki", can you try selecting some files that don't have a sync icon, right/control click on them and choose "make available offline", to see if that helps with the sync icons?
-
Hey @"jrubenstein1974", yes, please do so and let us know how it goes!
-
Hi there, @"VAExcellence", thanks for posting to our Community. I'm afraid that what you'd like to do here is not possible with Dropbox. You can have the same file in multiple locations, but you can't have the files sync with one another. I hope this clarifies, but let me know if you have any questions!
-
Hey @"KimmieII", just to clarify, are you talking about moving your entire Dropbox folder to an external drive? Or copying your Dropbox folder to the external drive, meaning you'll be keeping the original Dropbox folder in its original location on the internal drive?
-
Hey @"nb1948", thanks for reaching out to us. It sounds like this is coming from your computer's system/security settings, indeed. Just to be sure, can you send us a screenshot of the error, so we can have a look? Thanks in advance!
-
Hey @"Nicholas M.5", would it be possible to send us a couple of screenshots showing this behavior, so we can have a visual?
-
Hey @"tjmiz", sorry to jump in here. I understand you're on a macOS computer, right? Did you recently get any notification about an update of the Dropbox app to the version for File Provider? Where is your Dropbox folder currently located?
-
Hey @"nsawicki", thanks for the additional info. Which of the two files are you updating? The one in Users/name/Dropbox? If you update the other one, do your changes sync online?
-
Hey @"anazacco", so basically, you need to make them available offline first, right?
-
Hey @"LANdpLAN", thanks for posting to our Community. The system requirements for you to install and run Dropbox on a Linux OS are actually very specific. You can find them here. I hope this clarifies things, but if you have any questions, let us know.
-
Hey @"Jurij Nowickyj", if your external drive is backed up to Dropbox with the Dropbox backup feature, any changes you make to your files in the external drive, should update in your backups page on dropbox.com as well. Now, your backups depending on the version of backup you're using, may or may not be accessible from the…

Hey @"jojopants", thanks for taking the time to post to the Dropbox Community. I understand you're having trouble, because a shared folder is taking up space in your account. This happens when you're given edit access to the folder, which means that you need to add it to your account and this it takes up space. If you want…

Oh, that's perfect, thanks for the update, Steve! I'm glad we were able to get to the bottom of this. If you need anything else, let me know. Have a great weekend!
-
Hey @"mattahern", I'm afraid that the old link architecture will remain in place for your existing links, so you'd need to delete them and create new ones, for them to have the new architecture. I hope this clarifies things and sorry if that causes an inconvenience. Let me know if you have any more questions.
-
Hey @"VW2", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Can you send us a screenshot of the "sync" tab in your Dropbox preferences, so we can have a visual of the issue? Have you tried restarting your computer at all, to see if it helps? Let me know!
-
Hmm, are you looking at the desktop app preferences? You can find them, by clicking on the Dropbox icon in your system tray, then on your initials/profile pic and then on "preferences".
-
Hey @"effinsyv", can you please make sure that you've given Dropbox full disk access?
-
Hmm, that's pretty strange, indeed. Can you check and confirm that your mobile app is linked to the same account you're signed into on the website and the desktop app?
-
Thanks, @"nadavs", I just emailed you, so I'll see you there.
-
Thanks, Steve! These look like external drives you have backed up to your Dropbox, however, I don't think they're related to the original issue. The issue is that the Dropbox mobile app is showing you files which, after your re-organization, are no longer in the account, right? Have you tried the suggestions I made on my…
-
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, @"Tjador". If you simply hover over the Dropbox icon in the system tray, do you see the name of the file and the specific reason why this file cannot sync? Otherwise, if you open the Dropbox folder, is it possible to locate any file that would have the blue circling icon on it,…
-
Hey @"BPW24", thanks for your post! If in the Camera Uploads settings, you choose to upload from your 'camera roll', all the photos in your camera roll will get uploaded. If you try to select certain albums from Smart albums, or Your albums, you'll see that the 'camera roll' option gets automatically disabled; this is to…
-
Hey @"florismk", what is the exact sync status of the Dropbox app, when hovering over the Dropbox icon?
-
I see, thanks @"nadavs". Can we send you an email, so we can take a closer look?
