Thanks for the ticket ID, @"tarunpande"! I can see that you were already in contact with another agent about this, so they should have already provided all the info you need about this issue. As for you, @"dataP", can you please login on a different browser or an incognito/private browsing window, and try to update your…

Perfect, I just sent you an email, so make sure to check your inbox, Herman. Have a great day!

Hey @"tarunpande", thanks for the comment here and sorry to see you're having trouble as well. Would you mind sending me the ticket number from your communication with us, so I can check it out?

Thanks for the clarification here. With the way backup works, you can enable it on one computer and your files are backed up to Dropbox. If this computer stays connected to your Dropbox and backup also stays enabled, the backed up folders will sync to any other computer you connect to Dropbox. However, the backed up…

Perfect, I'm happy to see you were able to find the button to disable computer backup. During this process, you should have been asked if you want to keep your files in their original locations (step 6), was that not the case?
-
I see, thanks for the update here, Herman! May I actually reach out to you via email, so we can look into this a bit more closely?
-
Hey @"Moritz K", thanks for joining us on the Dropbox Community. It seems you have enabled our computer backup feature on your Dropbox application. You can disable it and move your files back to their original locations, by following the steps here. Let me know if you have any questions!
-
Hey @"pincoz", thanks for posting your question on our Community today. If I understood correctly, you want to disable backup for your new computer and move the folders back to their original locations. To do this, you can follow the steps in this article. Let me know if there's something I misunderstood, though, or if you…

Perfect, I just reached out to you, so make sure to check your emails!

Hey @"James H.83", thanks for the nudge here. You can only change the state of your local files from the local Dropbox folder on your computer. So, you'd need to go to your Dropbox folder, right click on it, select Smart sync > Local.
-
Sure thing, Filipe and happy Monday! If you go to the original location of your desktop files, do you see a 'Files in Dropbox' shortcut? Also, in your Dropbox folder, do you see a "Mac" folder? Did you check for your files in there?
-
Hey @"Cg28", thanks for the nudge here. To delete the backup folder without deleting your desktop files, you'd need to disable the backup feature and move your files back to their original location first. Did you try following the steps my colleague @"Walter" provided above?
-
Hey @"mondoblack", thanks for posting your questions on our Community. All you need to upgrade to any Business plan is a free Dropbox account. From your account, you can go to this page, and choose the Advanced plan, from the 'for teams' section. If you want monthly billing, you'll need to pay the listed price per user…
-
Hey @"Herman T.1", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Can you just clarify if you're using the search function on our website or the mobile app? And say you search for file 'a-b-c', using the hyphens, while searching. Does the desired file/folder not come up at all in the results? If you're on the website, please…

Absolutely, I just reached out to you, so make sure to check your emails. Have a great weekend!
-
Hey @"nicokasaka74", thanks for letting us know about this. Mind if I send you an email, so we can look into this a bit more closely? Thanks!
-
Hey @"Rmahashabde", thanks for the comment here. Do you mind if I reach out to you via email, so we can look into this more closely?
-
Of course, Filipe, I'll try my best to help you with this! Have you taken a look at your trash/recycle bin? Maybe you'll find them there.
-
Thanks for updating me on this, Filipe! When you reinstalled the Dropbox app, did you sign in to the same account as before? Can you also take a look at your deleted files and your events page, to see if you can find anything related to the files you're missing?
-
No worries! To remove a shared folder from your account without affecting the rest of the members, you can actually remove your access to it yourself. That'll free up the space this shared folder is taking up. As for the the shared link, it allows view access, so you won't be able to edit or delete anything, but you can…
-
I'm afraid that non-shared folders can only be accessed by the user that creates them. There is a 'sign in as user' feature, with which an admin can sign in to a member's account, however, that's currently available to Dropbox Business Advanced plans.
-
I understand, Tamara, and thanks for getting back to me. If you ever need anything else, make sure to give us a shout. Have a wonderful day!
-
Hey guys, mind if I reach out to you via email, so we can look into this more closely? I can reach out to you as well, @"Buzzly2012", if you want, to see if there's something we can do.
-
Hey @"daveyb98", thanks for the nudge here. Did you try the steps that @"Jay" mentioned above? Did those not work for you?
-
Hey @"FilipeMello", thanks for joining our Community. It seems you uninstalled the Dropbox application without disabling the backup feature first. So the best thing to do right now, would be to reinstall Dropbox and then disable backup. Once backup is turned off, you should be able to uninstall Dropbox and not have any…

Not a problem, Marc! As for your questions, the download limit is the same for all our plans (free and paid) and it's 20 GB. The desktop client does not have any upload/download size limits. And the upload limit for the website is 50 GB. You can see more info in the articles I hyperlinked in my previous reply.
-
Hey @"dmorrison", thanks for joining our Community and I'm sorry for any frustration caused. I'm afraid that shared folders take up space in the accounts of all the members that have edit permissions. If you don't have enough space, a workaround would be for the owner of the folder to send you a link, which doesn't affect…
-
Hey @"DN4", welcome to our Community and thanks for the question. Indeed, if a team admin is not a member of a folder, they won't be able to see it in their 'all files' page. They can be added to folders by others, or they can actually add themselves, from the 'content' tab in the admin console. That's the place where they…
-
Hey @"champton", thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community with your question today. I'm afraid that there's no official Dropbox way to download and install an older version of the Dropbox app on your iPads. And even if you could somehow, I'm not sure it would work either, so it's not something we'd recommend. 😕 Let…
