Hey @"norm3", sorry to jump in here! If you enable our backup feature on your computer, your macOS desktop folders (Downloads, Desktop, Documents) will get backed up to Dropbox. They'll be moved into your Dropbox folder to a folder named "Mac" and you'll be able to access them from there on that machine. If you'd like to…

Hey @"arana", you've got mail as well!
-
Hey @"GadgetGrrl", sorry to jump in here. If you accidentally moved files into your Dropbox folder and you don't want them to sync to your Dropbox, you can just select and move them out of the Dropbox folder, to stop them from syncing.
-
Hey @"Kemalsyah277", can you check your backups page, to see if you have files taking up your space there?
-
Hey @"USMCSGT323", sorry to jump in here. Have you tried double-clicking on the files in your old Dropbox folder that are online-only, to see if they can get downloaded/opened?
-
Hey @"Caitlinml", thanks for the nudge here. The steps to remove your access from a shared folder can be found here. I hope this helps!
-
Hey @"Fadyrizk", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Did you upgrade your account through the Dropbox app on your mobile device (through iTunes/GooglePlay) or directly through our website?
-
Thanks for the additional info! I just sent you an email, so we can continue from there. 🙂
-
Hey @"bobbyizqu", this is quite a strange issue. Does this only happen with jpeg/jpg files? Or with other types of files as well? Can you turn off the "email to Dropbox" feature and then turn it back on, to see if that helps?
-
Does the parent folder of the folder you're trying to share, have a "two people" icon on it instead of a plain blue folder? That would indicate the the parent folder is a shared folder. And to check if you're the owner of the parent folder, click on the "Share" button next to it in your "All files" page and then click on…
-
Hey @"Michaellangley", thanks for posting again! I'm not really clear on what this specific folder path is, but in any case, when you share a folder with someone, you share with them everything inside this folder. For example, if you give them access to a parent folder with multiple subfolders, they'll be able to access…

Hey everyone, if you haven't done so already, can you please try to quit the Dropbox app and then relaunch it, to see if that helps?
-
Hey @"theMotoMan", can we actually email you, so we can look into this privately?
-
Thanks for the update, @"robn1". Can we please send you an email, so we can look further into this?
-
Hey @"szelenak", do you perhaps see your initials instead? It would be the same thing. If you don't see either, can you please send us a screenshot of what you see, so we can check it out?
-
This doesn't really have to do with your specific plan, Kurt. Is this folder inside an already shared folder perhaps? And are you the owner of that parent folder?
-
Hey @"dpoulter", welcome to the Dropbox Community! You are absolutely right here! If you want to set up Dropbox on a new computer, all you need to do is install the Dropbox application on it and just sign into your account. The app will then sync any and all Dropbox files to your new computer. Let me know if you have any…

Hey @"ChristianeinLondon", thanks for reaching out to our Community. At the moment, I'm afraid it's not possible to import your notes from Notes to Paper. An alternative could be to just copy the contents of these notes, and paste them to a new Paper document or multiple ones. Let me know if you have any questions!
-
Hey @"anotheruserhere", thanks for taking the time to post to our Community today. The updated Dropbox for macOS app has been developed to adhere to the requirement as set out by Apple therefore this update was introduced to ensure the best possible experience for our Mac users long into the future. Of course, we…

Hey @"bryanj", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Can you try to enable two-step verification and then disable it again, to see if that helps? Let me know how it goes and we'll go from there.
-
Hey @"clarkxgriswold", thanks for bringing this to our attention. I know it might not seem so significant, but have you restarted your computer since this issue appeared? If not, please try and let me know if that helps. Keep me posted and we'll go from there.

Happy to hear that! If you come across any issues again, let us know. Have a happy new year, @"FireFox99"!
-
Thanks for this info, @"MikeHLondon". We appreciate your feedback here and I will make sure it's passed along to our team. Let us know if you need anything else. Happy holidays!
-
Hey @"Ailis", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Can you let me know which version of Dropbox you're using and what's the sync status of the app? You can see this info, by hovering over the Dropbox icon in your system tray. Is the Dropbox app working otherwise? If you check your account online, do you see that your…
-
Hey @"FireFox99"! Have you tried clearing Chrome's cache?
-
Hey @"Frank99", what Walter suggested is actually legitimate, but I'm assuming the info and troubleshooting steps in the article didn't help resolve your issue. Can you check one more thing? Do you see a 'make available offline' option, when you right click on these files? If so, can you click it, to see if that helps?
-
The thing is that Dropbox does not alter your files in any way, so if the file previews correctly on Dropbox, perhaps this has to do with the media player you're using to play the video? Can you look into that and see if you can find out anything? What about using a different browser to download the video? Does that make a…

Thanks for trying here. Can we reach out to you via email, so we can have a deeper look into this issue?
-
Hey @"Raccoonpan", can you give us some more info on your issue? Are you getting messages that your Dropbox is full? What does the plan tab in your account settings report?
-
Sorry to see you're having this issue too, @"kheberg". Are you seeing this behavior in the Photos tab as well? If you open your camera uploads folder do you see the same thing? How about the actual metadata of the photos, when you open them and tap on the [i] option?
