Hey @"Mrc7cas", thanks for reaching out. Since you're still on a paid plan, can you try reaching out to our support team directly about your request? They'll be able to look into it for you.
-
You can definitely do it that way, Diane. Meaning you can just download the files from the website and then delete them from the account. It will work the same.
-
Hey Pascal, can you also make sure to give Dropbox full disk access, to see if that helps with syncing being stuck?
-
Not sure I understand what you mean, @"joshld12". Were you able to sign out of the Gmail account on the Dropbox app and sign in with the Yahoo one? This should unlink the computer from the Gmail account and link it to the Yahoo one, so you can access the Yahoo account's files from the particular device. Are you seeing…
-
Hey @"pforkes"! This page should show you all the files in your Dropbox account. You can delete any unwanted files from there. And you can use these steps to calculate the size of your folders and files, in case you want to check out what's taking up your space.
-
Hey @"Noel H.5", when you were following the steps to disable backup on your computer, did you choose the "Keep content in folders on this Mac" option? This should have moved your desktop folders back to their original locations.
-
Hey @"Pixelestial", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Just to confirm, you're having this issue on the new computer, right? After installing the Dropbox app, were you able to sign in to it as normal? What do you see when you over over the Dropbox icon in the system tray? Let me know and we'll go from there.
-
Hey @"Fish_114514", thanks for reaching out to us. I'll need some clarifications in order to help you here. Are you trying to access and download the files from a password protected shared link? Or did someone send you a link for you to edit some files and you're trying to sign in to your Dropbox account, when you get this…
-
Hey @"agathosdaimon", thanks for reaching out to us. The Dropbox application's job is, to sync any files you add to the Dropbox folder to your account online and other devices, and to also sync to that computer any files added from other devices or online. As you already mentioned, if you're going to be using the Dropbox…

I just emailed you, @"Eunseongkim"! See you there!
-
Hey Diane, can you send us a screenshot of how your files appear in the Dropbox folder?
-
No worries, @"vad876", I just sent you an email and we'll investigate this there. Thanks!
-
Hey @"dianasimpson", sorry to jump in here, but can you please make sure to double-check the email address this email went to? Is it the same as the one you see here?
-
Hey @"cat_hmuaokc", sorry to jump in here, but what do you see in the plan tab of your account settings here? Also, are you currently paying for your Dropbox subscription through Apple iTunes?
-
Hey @"roshana", this is a feature that is available to a small number of users and only on dropbox.com, so if you don't see this option, it's likely that it's not currently available to you. It could become available in the near future, though, so keep an eye out for it!
-
Hey @"CrewSandy1", sorry to jump in here, but could you send us a screenshot of how the Dropbox folder appears on the new computer and another screenshot of the Dropbox folder on one of the other computers, for comparison?
-
Hey @"vcaston", just to check, did you recently upgrade your computer's OS?
-
Strange, indeed, @"youmailtocarlos". Does this issue go away, when the Dropbox app is closed?
-
If you received the email to your email address, @"Pert", you don't have to access the ticket through the support page; it's basically the same thing, so if you can access the email through your email account, you're good to go!
-
Hey @"LauraHM", just to give some additional info here, what you described in your original message, about not being able to sign in to your account, leads me to believe that you were invited and removed from a Dropbox Business team. Perhaps the several entities who have invited you to their folders were all just simple…
-
That's strange, but thanks for the additional info here. Does the Dropbox application on your computer work otherwise? For example, if you edit a file in the Dropbox folder, does the edit appear in your account online?
-
Hey @"PascalMahvi", thanks for the screenshot and the additional info. You can find the sync status of the app, by hovering your mouse over your Dropbox icon in the menu bar. Also, if you right-click on the folders, do you see a "make available offline" option? If you do, please click on it, allow the app to sync and try…
-
Hey @"HALNISS", I'm so sorry to hear about your files getting encrypted. Have you taken a look at this article with more info on what to do?
-
Hey @"devildog67", can you let us know more about why you can't share them? Are you getting some kind of error message?
-
Thanks for these really helpful screenshots, @"yanfei wu"! Can you let us know your computer's OS version, please? Also, can you ensure the host attempting to view Dropbox is configured for 32 bit color? And is it possible that you're logging in through a remote session or a virtual machine?
-
Hey @"flbo", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Can you try the steps in Jay's reply here, to see if they help?
-
Thanks for letting us know about this, @"langshipley". Have you tried the steps in this article, to see if they help?
-
Okay, Rajesh, so to make sure I understand correctly, you've created a link, and when you're downloading files from the link, they seem corrupted, right? When accessing the files from the link, without downloading, do they open?
-
Hey @"Shaun1976", thanks for joining our Community! Is it possible that you're not looking at the right place for the preferences? You'll need to click on your Dropbox icon, then on your profile pic/initials, then on 'preferences' to find the 'sync' tab and the selective sync settings. You can find detailed instructions…
-
Hey @"fulldb", thanks for reaching out to our Community. It's possible since you're on a Dropbox Business trial, that your personal space usage in settings is different from the team space usage in the admin console. Can you check both places and let me know what you see?
