Hi again, Anna! Just to make sure we've covered this base too, can you also check to see if Dropbox has full disk access on the computer? You can find the steps here.
-
Thanks for the update, @"copwriter", get back to us whenever you can and we can continue working on this together!
-
Hey @"kurtrichard", I moved your post to this relevant thread, so you can take a look at Ben's solution here.
-
Not a problem, Mick! If you need anything else, make sure to let us know. Have a great weekend!
-
Hey @"mickglossop", thanks for posting to our Community. Can you try Settings > Dropbox > Microphone instead, to see if that helps? Keep me posted!
-
Hey @"VitaliRadchankau", sorry to hear that. Which version of the Dropbox app are you using and what's the sync status of the app? You can hover over your Dropbox icon for this info.
-
Hey @"copwriter", I understand your hesitance in regards to the registry keys, however, we basically first need to make sure that Dropbox works as it's supposed to, which is part of the troubleshooting of your original issue, that's why we're insisting on this. I'd suggest you follow the steps that Walter linked in his…

Thanks for the screenshot, @"markuk20". Can you also take a look at this article that contains a lot of troubleshooting steps, to see if they help? Make sure to especially check the steps in the article on how to give Dropbox full disk access.
-
Thanks for the additional info, @"Capellmeister". It might be an iOS issue, but just to check, can you also delete the Dropbox app, restart the device and then reinstall it and let me know what you find?
-
Hey @"FRESKO", sorry to see you're having trouble. Can you please describe the steps you're following in order to do this?
-
Hey @"LapidusInternational", I just sent you an email, so we'll continue there!
-
Hey @"JohnDeLange", it sounds like you're sending your recipients a "can edit" link, instead of a "can view" one. Make sure to use these steps and your recipients should be able to access the folder without being asked to join.
-
Hey @"Gualtieri", you are correct; only one automation can be added to a folder at this time.
-
Hey @"rossmcm", if you'd like to make sure you're following the correct steps for the advanced reinstall, you can find them below and please make sure to follow them exactly as they are: https://help.dropbox.com/installs/advanced-reinstall
-
Hey @"drb01", thanks for reaching out to our Community. I assume restarting both the Dropbox app and the computer has not helped, right? If you haven't tried, please do and let us know the results. Thanks in advance.
-
Thanks for the additional info, Niall! Indeed, if you do want to use the Dropbox application on your work laptop, to access your Dropbox files from the Dropbox folder, you'll need to install the app again and set the files to online-only, to free up the space they're taking up.
-
Thanks for the additional info, @"BonnieFC". If you login to your account and go to the Shared tab, are you able to add the folder that way?
-
Hey @"MSMichels", thanks for taking the time to post to our Community. The shared tab will indeed show someone the shared folders they've been invited to, both ones that are added and not added. There's no way to remove those folders from that page, unless whoever invited this user, removes them as member of the folders. I…
-
Hey @"martinag_photography", sorry to see that your files are missing. Did the admin delete you and transfer your files to another member or their own account? Or did they convert your account back to an individual one? Are you able to login with the same email address you were using or are you prompted to create a new…
-
Hey @"Harry13", thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, what you'd like to do isn't currently possible with Dropbox. There is a similar idea in our ideas section, if you'd like to up-vote it, to show your support. Let me know if you have any questions.
-
Hey @"JpFortran", thanks for bringing this to our attention. What's actually the sync status of the Dropbox app as shown on your Dropbox icon? Is it actually syncing new files to your computer? Have you checked the sync history to see what kind of files they are? Keep me posted.
-
Hey @"Capellmeister", welcome to our Community! That's pretty strange, indeed. Have you tried restarting the device, to see if it helps? If not, tap on "account", then on the gear icon and then on "clear cache" and let me know how that goes. Thanks.
-
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, @"annaneedshelp". That's truly strange, but let's see what we can find out. Have you tried restarting both your computer and the Dropbox app ever since this started happening? Also, what's the version and sync status of your Dropbox app? You can see that, when hovering over the…
-
Hey @"Rudy_Waltz", thanks for bringing this to our attention. What's the sync status of the app, when you hover over your Dropbox icon? And when you say that the upload stops, do you see any error messages on the sync status or does the app immediately go "up to date" without having uploaded the file at all? Let me know…
-
Hey @"Niall D.", thanks for posting your question to the Dropbox Community. When you install the Dropbox desktop app on your computer and login to your account, the app syncs all your files to a local "Dropbox" folder. That means that your Dropbox files take up space on your hard drive. Uninstalling the app doesn't free up…
-
Hey @"lruthig", thanks for taking the time to post here. At the moment, there are some actions you can take on PDF files, such as adding text and drawing on them. You can read more about that here. Is this something that would seem helpful to you? Keep me posted.
-
Thanks, @"Czyo5S7rb1", I just emailed you, so we'll continue there! Are you getting the exact same pop-up as well, @"Tigercomp"? Have you tried the troubleshooting steps provided in this thread?
-
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, @"jwhelget". Can we send you an email, to investigate this further? Let me know!
-
Can I ask you to try one more thing, @"IMightAsWellBashMyHeadIn"? Try while connecting to a different network, either another WiFi or mobile data and let us know if the issue persists then as well.
-
Thanks for getting back to me, @"crimsonnoise". Just to clarify, since the majority of external drive users aren’t eligible to migrate to Dropbox for macOS on File Provider, it's not certain that you will be one of those who are eligible. You can update to File Provider on your OS, but you might or might not receive the…
