Hey @"sarah copland", thanks for reaching out to us. I'm really sorry for your loss.. Would you mind giving me the ticket number for your communication with our team, so I can investigate further?
-
Sure thing, @"mtepper", you've got mail!
-
Hey @"rhinofeatures", thanks for your post today! Have you looked into our external drive backup feature? This feature will allow you to create a backup of your external drive to Dropbox and have your backed up files accessible from the backups page on dropbox.com. Any changes you need to make, will need to be made…

No worries, @"jpg2esq", I just emailed you, so I'll see you there.
-
Hey @"uBear team", would you mind sending us a screenshot of what you see when you try to share this subfolder?
-
Hey @"ThriveWebmaster", thanks for taking the time to post to the Dropbox Community! At the moment, there's no way to do this with Dropbox shared links. I will, however, pass this along to our team as feedback/feature request, so thanks for this. If you have any questions, let us know.
-
Hey @"DMJS", since this isn't really related to Dropbox, there's not much we can suggest on our end. However, you could take a look at some browser settings that might help, like blocking 3rd-party cookies or this suggestion here.
-
Hey @"Ellielk", thanks for taking the time to post to our Community! I'm sure that our users will definitely find this helpful, so I will leave your thread here, for everyone to check out. We appreciate you sharing this and if you need anything else, please let us know. Have a great week ahead!

Thanks for reaching out to us, @"mtepper". Can we actually send you an email, so we can take a closer look into this for you? Let me know!
-
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, @"sarasheep". If you take a look at the list of connected devices in your account settings, does this computer appear in the list? Also, if you click on your Dropbox icon, do you see your profile pic/initials, so you can click on it, to go to the "account" tab in preferences and…

Hi there, @"mobin68", thanks for reaching out to us again. Would you mind sending us a screenshot of how this looks on your end, so we can have a visual? Also, which version of the app are you using and what is the sync status? You can see that by hovering over your Dropbox icon. Thanks in advance.
-
Hey @"Eric E.10", thanks for the nudge here. When you say that you had the downloads folder located in Dropbox, do you mean that you had previously manually moved it there?
-
Hey @"kingsley_tv", welcome to our Community! Can you first try to make this file available offline and then try to save it to your device and let us know if it helps?
-
Thanks for the screenshots, Kristie. So from what I can see, it looks like your account online is showing that you have a Dropbox Basic account and are using 2.00/2.00 GB, which means it's full. Your local Dropbox folder looks larger, so can you check if the Dropbox desktop app is linked to the same account as online? You…
-
Thanks for the update, @"annml", can you test something for me? Add a test file to your Dropbox folder, allow it to sync and then go to your account online and check the version history. It should show you the name of the device the file was added from, so let me know what you see there.
-
Hey @"Jonathanrm1", sorry to see you're having this issue. This is an issue that our team is actually aware of and currently working on a solution. I moved your post to the relevant thread, so you'll get an email when there's an update from the team. I hope this helps.
-
Hey again, Frank! If you're referring to backup files (Desktop, Downloads, etc.), you actually have two choices when disabling backup. You can see both of them here.
-
Hey @"KristieC", thanks for joining the Dropbox Community. Can you check your account's space usage here, to see if we can get some insight on why you're getting this notification?
-
Hey @"annml", thanks for reaching out to us. This is a quite strange issue indeed, but let's see what we can find. Just to confirm, is the Dropbox app linked to the same Dropbox account as your browser? You'll find the email address of the linked account in the "account" tab in your Dropbox preferences. Also, if you go to…
-
Hey @"mirlorraine", thanks for reaching out to us. Can you let us know the exact error message you got when you tried to create a new account under that email address? Also, were you previously perhaps a member of a Dropbox Business team with that account?
-
Hey @"7ererer", I see in your screenshots that some of the folders in your Dropbox folder are marked as "available offline" (green circle with white check mark). Can you right/control click on a few of them and choose "make online-only" to see if that frees up any hard drive space?
-
Hey @"Joy17", have you tried to clear your browser's cache to see if that helps at all?
-
Hey @"Frank P E.", thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community. It sounds like you're talking about the updated experience of the Dropbox backup feature. You can read more about it and how it functions here. If you have any questions whatsoever, please let me know. Cheers!
-
Hey @"Garliqueen", thanks for letting us know about this. What's the language you have set for your Dropbox here?
-
Thanks for the screenshot, @"carlitobklyn". You probably received this email, because you're very near your quota limit, but feel free to ignore it if you want.
-
Hey @"b. k.", did you get a chance to check the backups page to see if there are backed up files taking up your space? Keep in mind that shared folders also take up space in each member's account, so make sure to check if you have any shared folders as well.
-
Thanks for the update, @"PLPL". If you haven't already can you restart the computer, to see if that helps? If not, please also quit the Dropbox app and relaunch it from your applications folder.
-
Hey @"alejandro" Q , do you see the same if you first download the file from Dropbox to your computer and then open it with Acrobat locally on your computer?
-
Hey @"RC50", did you use a private browsing/incognito window like Rich suggested? If not, please do so and in the "I want to look up information related to:" box, choose "other" and type in an email address you can access, fill out the rest of the form and submit the request. Let us know when you have your ticket number.
-
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, @"PLPL". Can you hover over your Dropbox icon and let me know the current sync status and version of the app? Are you getting some kind of error message when the app crashes? Let me know and we'll go from there.
