Hey @"GuyCoops" It's currently not possible for a signed-out user to leave a comment on a Dropbox file. Signed out users may see the comment pane, but attempting to leave a comment will result in a prompt to sign-in or create an account. What may be occuring here is that comments have been disabled for that file. Whilst on…

Hi @"ScooterKP", I've taken over your support case and am working on your restorations request now. Sincere apologies for the delays in processing the restoration thus far - I'll follow up with you on progress via the support ticket you created. Frank

Hey all, Just to follow up on this thread, our engineering team pushed a fix for this late last week - InDesign files should now be downloading normally, without appending a .txt to the end of the file name. If anyone is still experiencing this, please let me know! Thanks! Frank

Hey all, Quick update on this. We've made some changes on our side that should improve the success rate for saving files to your Dropbox via the Gmail Chrome addin. The underlying cause behind the degradation in performance appears to be caused by an issue with attachment links that Gmail is providing us, so we've reached…

Hi all, Thanks everyone for your patience while we continue to investigate this one. We still unfortunately don't have a root cause for why this is happening, but have been able to reproduce the problem on our side which should help us identify the underlying cause faster. Apologies for any frustration caused, please be…

Hi all, Just a quick heads up that this is under investigation by our engineering team. As soon as we have an update on this I'll post an update here. Apologies for the frustration caused, and thank you for your patience while we look into the root cause of these errors. Thanks, Frank

Hey all, Apologies for the delayed response here. I haven't been able to reproduce any issues with the Gmail extension since my last reply on this thread, however this is clearly still a problem for many people so will investigate further and follow up with our engineers. Will post an update here once I have an update,…

Hi @"Dallas645", My name is Frank and I'm a specialist at Dropbox. We recently had a bug with our Gmail integration that was causing it to not appear for some users, and may be related to the error message that you and some other users are seeing. As a first step to try and resolve problems with the extension, can you…

Hey all, As Rich mentioned above, this change on our website to drag and drop functionality is a bug and not an intentional change. We've identified the problem and should be pushing a fix for it later today. Thanks everyone for flagging this one, and apologies for the inconvenience caused! Thanks, Frank

Hi @"SandersKev", When opening a support ticket at http://www.dropbox.com/support you'll get a reply via email, which you can attach screenshots to when replying. Alternatively you can place screenshots in your Dropbox account, create shared links and then include those links on the email form when submitting initially.…

Hi @"SandersKev", Thanks for getting back with that info - sounds like we'll need to investigate this from our side and chase up with Microsoft directly if required. In order to help us gather as much information as possible, can those of you who are affected by this open a ticket with our support team and include the…

Hi all, Thanks for the responses, from what I can gather this is now only occurring from within the Office for iPad App, would that be correct? Based on what @"SandersKev" said about the issue being fixed for him by an update to Office for Android, this sounds like a problem on Microsoft's side, that they have fixed for…

Hi all, As Sanchez mentioned, as the problems are occurring from within the Microsoft applications this sounds like an issue on their side. We'd still like to help get this one resolved, so to try and fix sync issues I'm going to ask those affected to try unlinking and relinking their Dropbox account from the Microsoft…

Hi @megx My name is Frank and I’m a member of the Dropbox specialist team. I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with saving files to your Dropbox account! Can you let me know where you are seeing those error messages; Do they display within the Microsoft Word app itself or in the Dropbox app? A screengrab of the…

Hey all, Thank you for your patience while we worked on getting this resolved. A fix for this has been released and shared links to folders should now show image and video thumbnails correctly, and let you interact with the thumbnails to view previews of the files. This should work correctly for all users now, however if…

Hi all, My name is Frank and I’m a member of the Dropbox website specialist team. First, I'd like to thank you all for reporting this problem with shared links. We're still investigating this at the moment, but it appears to be limited to shared links for folders; shared links directly to a file should still preview and…

Hi all, Thank you all for your patience while we worked on a fix to this problem. We've had our engineers working on this and the good news is the problem has been fixed. Please try the shared links to your videos again and you should find that playback works correctly - if you are still finding video files that are…

Hi all, Unfortunately I don't have any additional information to share at this moment - our engineering team are still investigating the underlying cause behind why some video file types are failing to preview on most major web browsers (Internet Explorer does not seem to be affected). I understand that this problem is…

Hi, Thank you both for getting back to me! @"Sink": Our engineering team are still investigating the underlying cause of this problem - I have no updates to share at the moment but as soon as I have more information I'll update this post. @"mig42": Can you let me know the ticket number of your support request, so I can…

Hi all, My name is Frank and I’m a member of the Dropbox specialist team. Thank you for reporting this issue with playback of shared video files! @"Sink": I've been able to reproduce playback problems for your file on most major browsers. I've escalated this issue to our engineering team for further investigation.…
