There is no email submission available. If the site isnt submitting try a different browser or make sure that all add ons are disabled and clear cache and cookies etc.

They should get am email with notification if its a link, however, many many ISP's block Dropbox emails unfortunately. You are much better off copying the link and pasting in to your own email - that way you also have proof of sending should it ever be needed.

If there is not showing any version history available at all on the file it hasnt been edited in over 30 days on Dropbox. Is it possible you moved it / renamed it / relocated it? Dropbox sometimes doesnt link moves together easily. Have you checked www.dropbox.com/events to see when it was last edited?

I wouldnt delete it, but, you should be OK to empty it 🙂

I am also on a Mac and find the sorting infuriating as well - how it can sort different across all different folders! There is a way of resetting all and starting it again from a Terminal command. And thank you 🙂
-
Hi @"pwerlin" Sorting of files/folders etc. is not a Dropbox issue - its one from Apple and on the operating system. It is OSx which sorts and organises everything you 'see' on the screen. I suggest speaking to Apple for assistance. Or if you are a bit more confident…

@"nidhiloveschocolate" wrote:so should i consider the pop up fake or the laptop is not fresh? Thats only something you can decide. The popup could have been malware from a bad website. However the pop up, if genuine, should have let you log on and automatically configure Dropbox. If it didnt / it isnt installed my guess is…

@"RagusLive" wrote:If this is explicitly not possible that is fine, I just wasn't able to find any conclusive information about this specific question/use case. Thank you. It isnt possible, no, sorry. However, a potential workaround is to watch www.dropbox.com/events as this will show when the upload is complete for you 🙂

@"DavidAt" wrote:Surely i don't need extra space when none of the information will be held on my account? Yes you do. There space does not benefit you at all. So as I said the other people who can access it have more quota available - it could even be a few hundred MB which is making the difference.

Either on the Photo button OR the 'drag and drop' bit below:

At the moment its just a case of dont update to the new one within the Dropbox menus, and I assume, not upgrading the Apple OS. There isnt actually anything to resolve, unfortunately, the new set up is by design and working as intended. At least until Apple changes things it wont be changing back.

Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing and trying?

Hi @"Brucemcintyre22 " Just to check is it this page you are following https://help.dropbox.com/view-edit/add-a-watermark ?

The offer is only valid if you use a preinstalled Dropbox client. If one isnt installed your device is not eligible. Downloading from the website will null and void any offer. You'd need to revert back to factory default settings IF it was available preinstalled.

@"cloxbox" wrote:How can you launch without such a fundamental feature? When can we expect the feature to be restored? When Apple allows it basically. The changes are being forced upon them by Apple due to changes in the OS and not something Dropbox has done itself. Its something all cloud providers will need to do to work…

There isnt a way to do that with Camera Uploads I'm afraid. Its either all or nothing
-
You should be able to just open Dropbox and log on to it - via the preinstalled software. You cannot download a version from here. Then you need to complete www.dropbox.com/gs and it should activate as long as you've not had a promo before.
-
Hi @"DavidAt" If it says you are out of storage that means the file they've shared with you is larger than your account quota hence you cannot add it. Thats probably why its defaulted to read only. You either need more space/upgrade or they need to make the folder smaller for you to access. Their upgraded quota doesnt…

Firstly download everything immediately to make sure its safe. If you accidentally get logged out your data and account is very likely lost. There is no way to change an email on an account with a defunct email. You can try and contact support to ask for help, but, you may be better off just setting up a new account.…

Hi 1) No. Backup files are not syncable. They are one way backup only. 2) Dropbox does not have such a feature - it sync's only key files and folders which are located inside of the \Dropbox directory 3) Only those listed. 4) Dropbox automates all syncing, you dont need to do anything, as long as they are saved inside the…

Hi @"Michael Todd" Sharing is not revoked for being over quota - that just stops syncing happening. However, if you use too much bandwidth (i.e. by lots trying to download a large file) then it is suspended. As a free user you usually get 20gb/day on a rolling 24 hours. There is no way to reactivate that immediately…

If its a Business Account thats a team one @"Lilochee" They will need to make sure they have a spare paid licence for you, or, if not buy one before they send you it 🙂
-
No they arent 🙂

Dropbox has a hidden cache that stores all files which are used, or, turned to selective sync etc. for a few days. That means that while they appear deleted and not visible etc. they are still on the Mac for a few days in case you need to recover them. For example if you unsync a folder before its all uploaded it just…
-
The only person who will be able to see them is you. Nobody else can see the visibility of what has been uploaded - even the person uploading them although they should know what they selected!
-
Without paying for an upgrade you cannot if you need edit access. You need to have enough quota on your account to be able to access the share. If you just need readonly access ask for a shared link instead 🙂 Or if you need to edit work download it from a shared link and send back via File Requests.
