Hey @"acandee". To stop Dropbox from backing up the desktop folder and from preventing it from getting deleted, you first need to follow the steps I linked above to disable the backup. Do you have a small Dropbox icon in your menu bar at the top of your screen, by the WiFi icon? That's where you need to click to find the…

Hey @"andymadden", thanks for this info. Firstly, to see the Dropbox app version, you'll need to hover over the Dropbox icon in the computer's menu bar. Before you take any actions on the app or the new account linked to it, I would definitely suggest keeping a copy of the files that you're not able to access on your…

Happy to hear that, @"Probes"! If you need anything else, please let us know. Have a great day!

Hi again, @"Probes"! Everything seems to be okay, I see there are cloud icons next to your files; do you see that your ****** drive space is freed up?
-
Hey @"synnem", sorry to hear about this. Have you checked our payment lookup tool, to see which account the payments belong to? Let me know what you find.
-
Thanks, @"Unknown abstracts". And the Dropbox version? Also, is the "online-only files on Mac" setting enabled here?
-
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, @"lotusadmin". Let's see what we can find out here. What types of files are you adding in the automated folder? Clearing your browser case would be a pretty good troubleshooting step and so would trying from a private browsing/incognito window, if you could try that as well. Also,…

Hi again, @"acandee". To find the options to disable backup, you'll need to go through the Dropbox application preferences. You can find those, if you click on the Dropbox icon in your menu bar and then on your initials/profile pic.
-
Thanks for the screenshots, Carl. Just as a test, can you move one of the files with the gray X out of your Dropbox folder and then move it back, to see if that helps?
-
Hey @"acandee", if you do not want your desktop folder to be backed up to Dropbox, you can follow the steps here, to disable the feature.
-
Hey @"Momma Lemasters", thanks for reaching out to us. I was able to find this idea on our Ideas section; is this similar to what you'd like to do? If so, make sure to up-vote the idea and if it gets enough votes, our team will take it into consideration for a possible update in the future. Cheers!

Hey @"brianrenata", sorry to see that you're having this issue. Here's a list of reasons why someone can't join a Family plan; can you have a look and see if you can find the reason in your particular case?
-
Hmm, can you please send us a screenshot of how the locked files appear, so we can have a visual as well?
-
Hey @"CarlW", I'd also suggest logging in with admin privileges on the computer that shows this issue, if you haven't already.
-
Thanks! Just emailed you and I'll see you there.
-
Sorry to see that you're having this issue, @"Unknown abstracts". What is your computer's OS and version? Also, what's the version of the Dropbox app and the sync status at the moment? You can see this info by hovering over your Dropbox icon.
-
Sorry to hear about this, @"ginaaspetti". Where are you seeing this? On the Dropbox website or the mobile app?
-
Thanks for that, @"borii". This is strange, because it does show that the backup is almost 33 GB. Can you send us a couple of screenshots showing the discrepancy between the actual ****** drive and what you see on the backups page, please?
-
Hi there, @"omglol", thanks for reaching out to us. Are all of these devices linked to the same Dropbox account? If you save a signature on your Android phone, are you able to access it from dropbox.com? Let me know what you find.
-
Hey @"BasicUser", can we send you an email, so we can look into this a bit more?
-
Hey @"be-each", thanks for your nudge on this. Can you let us know a bit more about your setup? What's your macOS version? Also, if you hover over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar, what's the Dropbox version and sync status of the app? And lastly, if you go to the "sync" tab in your preferences, what's the location of…
-
Hey @"borii", have you restarted your computer, to see if that makes any difference? If not, can you send us a screenshot showing that your backup appears as complete?
-
Thanks for trying, Robert. In this case, can we reach out to you via email, so we can investigate this issue further?
-
Hey @"harryr733", thanks for reaching out to us. Can this person sign in to their Dropbox account as normal or are they having issues with that as well? Also, can you send us a screenshot of that error? Just please make sure to edit out the email address and name of the folder member. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to our Community, @"einav co"! At the moment, the option to disable downloads on shared links is available only to customers on Dropbox Professional, Essentials, Standard, Advanced, Business, Business Plus, and Enterprise. If you share the file any other way, your recipients will be able to download it. I'm sorry I…
-
Hey @"DAWNM1", thanks for posting your question today! If you'd like to receive different versions of the same file/form from different people, what you can do is first share a link to the file/form with "view-only" permissions. Then, ask the recipients to download the file, fill it out and then you can send them a file…
-
Hey @"KDZ", thanks for taking the time to post to our Community. You can actually restrict access to specific folders for your team members, if you're the team admin. See how to do that here. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the update here, @"ctyrider"! I'm glad to see that the feature now works. If you need anything else, don't hesitate to let us know. 🙂

Happy to help, @"Tash41"! If you need anything else, please let us know. Have a great day!

Thanks, @"BasicUser". Nine of the items under Quick Actions only Transfer a file... works. Would you mind clarifying a bit here? Do none of the options work, except Transfer?
