Hey @"bradipo", thanks for taking the time to write to us. I understand your concern, so I will try to give you as much info as possible. Having your files set to online-only, basically means that your files will be present in the Dropbox folder, as always, they just won't be taking up hard drive space. You can always sync…

Hey @"andakarv2", thanks for reaching out to our Community. Can you clarify where you're seeing this? Is it the Dropbox website or the desktop app? For the website, the steps to change the language in Russian would be the following: * Click on your initials or profile pic at the upper right corner of the page * Click on…

Hey @"VirageSonore", thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community. Indeed, to get the best experience and to avoid issues, we regularly update active Dropbox accounts automatically to the latest version of the Dropbox app. Apologies for any inconvenience, but thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I will make…

Thank you both for the info here, @"Lyralina" and @"robert1881". Can you please also clarify if you're able to access your files from your Dropbox account online without issues?
-
Hey @"irstm", it seems like I missed your message, my apologies! So, after some investigation, it would seem that Chrome users (mostly) on Windows may experience an issue with crashes or lagging in Paper. Our engineers are aware and are working with the Chromium browser developers towards a solution. In the meantime, you…

I see. Was your photos library backed up to Dropbox? If so, with this version of the app, the photos library isn't supported, as Apple no longer allows it to be stored over cloud-storage services. The library should still be on your computer, but you can also contact Apple to see what needs to happen in this case.

No worries, Anselm, we'll get to the bottom of this together! Since you're using the desktop app, can you check if there's a small Dropbox icon in your system tray? I don't see one in your screenshot, but can you also click the arrow, that shows the hidden icons there, to see if you can find it? And if you do find it, can…

Hi again, @"iien"! I moved your post to this relevant thread. Can you let me know what your current billing location is and if it's the same with the currency you're trying to pay in? Have you tried using a different browser or a private browsing window, to see if that helps?
-
Hey @"Grifo98", which version of macOS are you running and which Dropbox app version? If you've updated to the new Dropbox for macOS version, this is expected behavior. Files added to your Dropbox account from another device or that are shared by another user will default to online-only. You can see more about the expected…

Sorry to jump in here, @"TPerkinsFilm", but since the web uploader has a 50 GB limit, can you perhaps upload these files in smaller batches, to see if that helps?
-
I see, thanks for the update here! If you go to this page and click on "Manage backups", do you see an option to back up the drive there?
-
Hey @"emaruffi", I moved your post to this relevant thread. Can you check Megan's suggestion here, to see if that helps?
-
Hey @"Danimach", thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community today. How is your external drive's usage? Is it more than 2 TB at the moment? And if you connect this drive to your PC and you right-click on it, can you see a "Back up to Dropbox" option? Keep me posted!
-
Thanks for the update here, @"PuzzledUser"! If this issue persists with the Dropbox app closed, it means that there's something else that's causing it and not really Dropbox. If you haven't already, can you restart your computer, to see if that helps at all?
-
Thanks for the screenshots, Vince! Can you also please go to the phone's Settings > General > iPhone storage > Dropbox and send us a screenshot of what you see there?
-
Hey @"Zaffranad" and @"Andrusz", sorry to see you're having this issue. Would you mind sending us a screenshot of the issue, so we can have a visual? Also, which version of Dropbox are you currently seeing this issue with?
-
Hey @"gwlgis", thanks for the nudge here. Since the Dropbox application has created and synced all your files to your C drive, I would definitely recommend just deleting the old one and then using the Dropbox preferences to move the Dropbox folder to your D drive. It won't take as long to move the files, as they won't have…

Thanks for the update, Anselm! The Dropbox for S Mode is quite different than the desktop application. The desktop application will sync local versions of your files to a folder named "Dropbox" in your file explorer, whereas the S Mode version behaves more like our mobile app. It shows you a "mirror" of your files in…
-
Hey @"zjtest", I moved your post to this thread, which seems to reflect your issue. Thanks for reaching out as well, @"kartoone". As Walter mentioned previously in this thread, our engineers are aware of the situation and are currently working on resolving it. Thanks for letting us know and we'll update you on this, once…
-
Hey @"Björn H.2", thanks for posting your question to the Dropbox Community! At the moment, it's not possible to upload folders to Dropbox using a mobile device/tablet, only files. A workaround would be to create a new folder through the app and then upload just the contents of your folder to that. I hope this helps, but…

Hey @"QuestionBox", if your individual account is linked to Dropbox Business account, you won't be able to upgrade this one to Business as well, since two Business accounts cannot be linked to each other. You'll need to unlink them, in order to upgrade your individual to Business. I hope this helps!
-
Hey @"matsuli", sorry to jump in here, but can you please send us a screenshot of the tabs you see in your Dropbox preferences?
-
Hey @"soonerjaj", was this a Dropbox update? Did you receive a notification on your Dropbox icon asking you to update your Dropbox to Dropbox for macOS?
-
Hey @"norm3", happy Monday! Locally, from your Dropbox folder, you can only access the backup of that particular computer. If you want to access the backups of other computers, you'll need to go to Dropbox online, here. And changes that you make to your backed up files sync to your Dropbox instantly. If you have any more…

Thanks, @"thehoarder22"! I just emailed you, so we'll continue from there.

Hey @"slan2718", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Can you please send us a screenshot of this message? And also, what is the sync status and version of the Dropbox application on your computer? You can hover over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar to see this info. Thanks in advance!
-
Hey @"tanaka15454", thanks for bringing this to our attention. From what I understand, you're having trouble with disabling our backup feature. Have you tried to quit the Dropbox app and then relaunch it, to see if that helps? Can you also restart your computer, to see if there's any difference? Let me know how it goes!
-
Hey @"darell_aiuken", thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community. This is actually how our shared link feature works. When you use the "copy link" option, a link is created that helps you share your files even with people who don't have a Dropbox account (that's why you could access them from a computer that's not logged…
-
Hey @"foxglove_1", thanks for letting us know about this. Is the folder not appearing in your Dropbox folder at all? Can you please take a look at this article, to make sure that everything is set up appropriately regarding the folder name? And also, what is the version and sync status of the Dropbox app? You can see that…
-
Hey @"chinchilla13", thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community. Would you mind sending us a couple of screenshots showing this discrepancy and the version of the Dropbox app for both devices? Also, are you both on the same Android version? And is it the most recent one? Thanks in advance!
