Hey @"Stephen d.8", thanks for your feedback here. At the moment, when you send a transfer through a link and the person downloading the files is not signed in to their Dropbox account, you won't access this info. However, if you send the transfer via the "send email" option and the recipient is signed in to Dropbox,…

Hey @"DrVJMJ", we can only reach out to you to the address associated with your Community profile here, so I've just sent you an email and we'll continue there!

Sorry to jump in here, @"CharlotteR", but could you please send us a screenshot of how the files appear when you restart your Finder?
-
Hey @"domienvandamme1", sorry to jump in here. Is the application stuck on trying to sync these 3 files? If so, are you able to locate them in your Dropbox folder, move them out of the folder, to see if that allows syncing to get "up to date"? Then try to restart the computer and check the usage on the application again…en Dropbox desktop app disk space not syncing with what I see online. Comentario por Hannah May 2023

Hey @"chawkin401", sorry to jump in here. The icons might be missing, due to the fact that the app is not syncing, since you don't have enough hard drive space. If you try to remove some folders from your Dropbox folder, using selective sync, does that help the app resume syncing? And are your syncing icons back?
-
Thanks for the screenshot, @"cevenhuis"! Just to confirm, they've downloaded the desktop app, correct? Not the mobile app?
-
Hey @"Casey4", just to clarify, how did you initially move the Desktop folder into your Dropbox? Did you enable our backup feature, like Rich suggested or did you manually move it in the Dropbox folder?
-
Hey @"Sleepless Digital", uninstalling and reinstalling the Dropbox app will not cause it to resync your files. It will probably reindex to check for changes, yes, but this is a process that does not take nearly as much time as syncing does.
-
No worries, Lily! I'm happy to see you figured it out. If you need anything else, make sure to give us a shout. Have a great day!
-
Thank you, I've just sent you an email, so we'll continue there!
-
Hey @"saraski", just to clarify, are you referring to our automations feature, or perhaps this one?
-
Hey @"acmoeTX", thanks for joining our Community! Regardless of a folder being a team folder or a simple shared folder, what you see in your account online, should appear in your local Dropbox folder as well. If you can only download and comment on files in the folder online, is it possible that the admin has given you…

Is that the same thing you see when you try to disable the backup feature from the backups page online, @"skystep"?
-
Hey @"cjbarnhart", thanks for letting us know about this. Where are these files currently located? Are they in your Dropbox folder? And what do you see when you try to open them? If you could send us a screenshot, that would be greatly appreciated. Any additional information you could give us would also be really helpful.…

Hey @"frankinf", thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community. Would it be okay to send you an email, so we can look into this internally?
-
Not a problem, Andrew! See you around the Community!
-
Hey @"amschulman", thanks for the update here. I'm afraid that this is the expected behavior with the backup folder and there's no Dropbox way of changing this. I hope this clarifies things, though, and if you have any other questions, please let us know.
-
Hey @"cevenhuis", sorry to see you're having trouble. Can you please check and let us know the status of the referral in your account settings?
-
Yes, Evelyn, I'm certain. 🙂 You can test this on your end with a test shared folder, if you want as well.
-
Hey @"LilyMuseic", thanks for taking the time to post to our Community. If when you tried to remove a member from your shared folder, you got the message that you need to remove them from the parent folder, what you need to do is just to go back a folder or two in the hierarchy of this particular folder. For example if the…

Hey @"Natmonster", we really appreciate your feedback here. Can we send you an email, so we can look into this internally?
-
Hey @"EnAr", have you searched your hard drive for the files, to find where they might be located?
-
Thanks for the update here, @"TurquoiseWoman". The selective sync section will show you all the folders that are available and synced in your Dropbox folder and your account online, will also show you the files and folders that are actually synced to your Dropbox. Can you check the sync status of the app for us? You can do…
-
Hey @"everlynfrank", thanks for posting your question to the Dropbox Community today! If you leave a shared folder, the owner will not get a notification about it. As they can see who has access to the shared folder, though, if they check the "who can access" section, they'll see that you're no longer a member. But they…

Hey @"dluptonmd" and everyone else that's still having this issue. Have you reached out to Microsoft for more info about this? And if so, what did they get back to you with, please?
-
Hi again, @"Sleepless Digital"! Can you please download and run the Dropbox installer, to see if that does the trick? If not, please uninstall the Dropbox app, restart your computer and then reinstall it and let us know how it goes.
-
Thanks, @"kn03del", I've just sent you an email, so we'll continue there.
-
Hey @"dpell", thanks for joining our Community. I assume you're referring to screenshots on your computer and not your phone, right? If so, you should be able to find the preferences, after clicking on the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar. Click on your initials/profile pic and you'll find the preferences option.…

Hey @"kn03del", what is the exact OS version of your device? If uninstalling and reinstalling the app didn't help, can we send you an email, so we can take a closer look?
-
Hey @"Sandy_D", sorry to jump in here. I understand where you're coming from, so can we reach out to you via email, to investigate this further?
