API limits on RPC endpoints
As per the Dropbox API doc, there limits to the API calls, but Dropbox does not wish to disclose any info on limitations. I understand that there might be daily/monthly quota on upload/download APIs, but what are the limitations on RPC endpoints? The reason I ask this is because, I will be doing a complete scan of pretty…

Calling /2/files/list_folder/continue without headers
There are several endpoints that have a corresponding `continue` endpoint that allow for pagination. My question is do the corresponding `continue` endpoints require the same headers and json body that was passed initially. For example I call /2/files/list_folder with following headers and request body Headers =…

Calculating the size of all deleted files
I had posted a similar question in the past and was told that I need to call `/2/files/list_revisions` to calculate the size of the deleted files. I collect the list of deleted items by listing each folder, but the Dropbox response does not tell whether the deleted item is a file or a folder. Since there is no way to tell…

Getting 409 error when calling list_folder on empty folder
I have been consistently getting 409 errors on some empty team folders. I am using Dropbox-Select-API-Admin header and listing team folders recursively. I am using the path to list those folders, that is if my team folder name is 'team folder', I use '/team folder' as path. It works on folders that is not empty (works on…

How to ignore folders during recursive listing
When I operate on a Dropbox Business account and list each member's personal folders, I end up listing the same shared folders multiple times. That is, if a shared folder is mounted within each member's personal folders, then when I list members' folders I end up listing that shared folder also. I can filter out the listed…

list_folder does not return recursive folder listing
API document says: recursive Boolean If true, the list folder operation will be applied recursively to all subfolders and the response will contain contents of all subfolders. The default for this field is False. I am trying to list a folder with recursive=True, but the response does not return the contents of the…

Is there a way to just list the member's personal folders
Is there a way to just list the personal folders (non-Team and unshared files/folders) inside a member's personal folder? A member may have Team/Shared and his personal folders. If I use `list_folder`, it lists all folders inside member's folder. I've used `"include_mounted_folders": true` but no luck I still got all the…

How do I get all files and folders on Dropbox Business account
I have asked this question in the past and did get answers but I am still struggling to figure this out. Basically, I want to export the entire structure of the given Dropbox Business account to a local DB. I want to export each and every folder/file to the DB. Do I list this namespaces and use the namespace id as path to…

Groups permissions
How do I list all the folders that a group has permissions to? The list_folders endpoint lists all folders the current user has access to. I could not find any API that talks about group permissions. I am not concerned with permission assignment. All I want to check is how many folders are shared with the groups.

Size of the deleted files.
How do I find out the size of deleted files? I use /2/files/list_folder with include_deleted=True, I can see the deleted items, but there is no size info.

list_shared_links and list_folder_members pagination
As per the API doc, /2/sharing/list_shared_links does not return has_more attribute but cursor. What's the purpose of returning cursor? Is there a possibility that the result may span across several pages? Do I have to call /2/sharing/list_shared_links again with cursor inside the request body to ensure I have gotten all…

Getting raw http response using Python SDK
Hello All, I've been reading through Python SDK docs and looking at SDK source code and found that internally all Dropbox does is call request(*params). My use case is a little different where I need the raw JSON string in response. I found a few methods (i.e. request_jsob_object, request_json_string) which I guess return…

How do I get unique listing of all folders on a Dropbox Business account.
I have gone through this thread and it is really helpful, but I have a few doubts which I would like to clear. I want to get the list of all files and folders on a given Dropbox account and segregate by their type. For example, team folder structure will be saved to a local DB table called team_folders and similarly users'…

Why are we enforced to use `is_*` methods of tagged union
I am trying to list all members in a column/row format. For example, column1=email, column2=status I can add email to the column1 row just fine, but I cannot access the status tag. I am enforced to call each is_* methods until I get a True response and then figure which is_* method returned True and the corresponding tag…

Export all files/folders on a given dropbox.com account to CSV
I am working on a CLI app that will use a team admin token to export the entire data structure (including team folders, shared folders and members' personal folders) on a given dropbox.com account. I am using Python SDK and getting duplicated entries. That is, when I list team folders, I get the list of all team folders,…
