this new functionality is an awful dealbreaker for me now
-
it's really an awful decision that fundamentally changes the way dropbox works and makes it dramtically less useful now. anyone know of alternatives that behave like Dropbox used to?

it's so bad

awful, the end of dropbox

it's totally awful. it has made it unusable for Premiere, etc, these days. the beginning of the end for Dropbox I fear

I have 300gb free on my computer and it is still doing this. I absolutely don't want dropbox making these decisions for me. If this can't be fixed soon, I will be off Dropbox.

not weird at all. this is totally an awful thing for dropbox, and is the continuing dumbing-down of computing. this will force me off dropbox entirely, sadly

I'm having the same issues. Now all of my files are online-only by default. Selective Sync used to be all we need to manage what was local or not. Now I'm looking for a dropbox alternative, but this completely broke the system. Random files in all my folders now go offline, for no reason it seems. How awful. Fix this…
