If the native files app search or in-iOS native integrated attachment/ search function is critical for you I STRONGLY suggest you look elsewhere eg box google or Amazon etc. Dropbox cannot solve this issue and not only that they don’t actually know this is an issue (or even ready to admit it). I have a semi-solution that I have been using if anyone is DESPERATE to keep going with Dropbox. I use pdf expert linked to Dropbox app on iPhone and iPad and in that app’s search function EVERY FILE instantly pops up, just like in dropbox app. Then i press the file (magnifying glass icon next to file) then share that file…

I reckon... Dropbox.. please listen to customer feedback. If you are not going to fix this problem, AT LEAST offer split screen mode so we can work with 2 files side by side (as Files app in iOS can be split screened with Dropbox side by side but can't search natively)

I contacted Dropbox about this almost a year ago and never got a reply back. In fact i think they said this is due to apple changing something (it used to work beautifully before the Files app came into effect on apple) and that they need to work on it.
