AND—the fix didn't last. 😝 This morning I'm having the same behavior: I can put "Dropbox" in the search location and as soon as I hit return on my search term, it defaults to "Searching 'This Mac.' " Which again does not include Dropbox. 😝 and heading for 😳 on the way to 🤯

Yes, that does mean that when the Dropbox app is closed, Spotlight search can find files in the Dropbox folder. 🤪 And when I reopened the Dropbox app, I was able—yes, at least for the moment—to find the files I needed. Sheesh.

The Spotlight issue appears to be limited to Dropbox. I do get results—just nothing in Dropbox. I can get to Dropbox files from the Finder. I can't force the system to give them to me when I am, say, attempting to place/link a file in an Adobe program. It LOOKS like I can request a search of Dropbox with a drop-down, but…

I'm also having this problem, although I'm having some other issues with MacOS 26 Tahoe (26.6.2 at present; Dropbox 269.4.4231).
