I am happy to report that the login prompt is now gone. I have not heard back from all users but so far so good. Thanks Dropbox!

>If members are still seeing the popup it means that at some point they did login / integrate and then decided to remove “Dropbox For Teams” from MST Office.< This describes me, I disconnected the app just about 2 hrs. ago, just restarted and sill have the popup. Will try again in another hr.

And just to be clear, you did not login. If I login the popup will go away but logging in is not really a solution for us.

@"jwarman" I recived the same message from support. What version of the client do you have? I am still seeing the issue here with stable version 231.4.5770?
-
@"Neal" Since 232.3.5840 [Beta] seems to have the fix as others have reported, can you tell us when we might expect that fix to be incorporated into a stable version? Thanks! For those not aware, Dropbox client release info here: Dropbox Desktop Client Builds | The Dropbox Community

@"Dell_Dropbox" I restarted and still on 231.4.5770 , and still have the popup. Hopefully your patch will get posted soon, please keep us updated.

@Nancy, @"EvermoreUW" is correct. The popup appears every time you try to open an Office file, either from File Explorer or directly within the Office application.

Yes I hope this gets resolved. complaints are increasing daily.

@"bblu2095" Thanks for this. I tried those options in Word that you suggest, but I am still getting the login prompt. you may be suggesting that we need to disable coauthoring? If yes, how do we do that, can it be done in Dropbox Admin for the entire team. Thanks again.

@"RDUpchurch" if you are logged in to dropbox.com you could try this, https://www.dropbox.com/get_help/desktop-app Hope this helps

@"Jay" I’ve already done that—they didn’t have a solution yet. They asked me to try logging in, which removes the prompt (so that is good) but introduces other issues: 1. All Office files open with AutoSave enabled by default. (Coauthoring is now on) 2. Everything takes noticeably longer to open. 3. Each file triggers a…

My team started reporting this today as well. I hadn’t been seeing the popup on my machine until I manually updated Office. The update appeared to be quite large, and once it completed, I began receiving the popup whenever opening any Office file in a Dropbox-synced folder. I am using 230.4.8797

Thanks for @"Sanchez" wrote: Hey again, @"rmckinnon10", Our team doesn’t currently have plans to make this change mandatory for teams already on the “old” structure. However, if such a move ever becomes part of our road-map, we will give you plenty of notice and support! Cheers Thanks for following up. -Bob

@"Sanchez" wrote: Hey @"jonob", welcome to our community! It sounds like you have one of our new Dropbox Business accounts, on which the folder structure has changed a bit. There’s an article discussing this new team space and member folders here. Unfortunately, what you’re asking for here isn’t currently an option, as all…

@"Mark" Ok thanks, we are coming over from OneDrive and evaulating DropBox for the trial month. So trying to learn all I can. I will note that my client auto upgraded yesterday to the latest version. -Bob
