Hi @"Здравко" - can you try updating to v234 (the most recent stable just released) and try restarting the client? The desktop client was the last component to get updated for this, and it's possible this was caused by being on an older build (or even perhaps just needing to restart the client after we turned on the…

Super proud of the team who shipped this! And thank you to all the community members who kept the dream of full unicode support alive!

Hello! Our internal team is aware of this request and is actively investigating it but it is in early stages. Sit tight.

You can go to Dropbox Tray -> Account menu in the top right -> Preferences, then switch to the Accounts tab, hold Alt or Control (I forget which!), and that should make some buttons visible - one of which is "Reset File System Warning Options". That will reset all these warning dialogs. Unfortunately there's not currently…

It looks like the sync engine might be running into permission errors trying to sync your account; files on your local disk appear to be marked such that the dropbox app itself is not allowed to make the necessary modifications to sync them. To fix, can you try going to (dropbox tray icon) -> (your user avatar in the top…

Hi @"wanderr", is it possible that you had installed Dropbox on that machine (and signed in) while you were on macos 13? If so, that could explain this - as the .Trash folder will (unfortunately) stick around if it was ever created due to that bug. It's possible that simply signing out, deleting the .Trash folder, and then…

I don't think you're running into issues with file names. Dropbox handles file names with periods in them just fine. The only exception to that is when you're on windows and the period is at the end (either after the extension, or perhaps if there is no extension like on a folder name). Those names are illegal on windows,…

@"benmack" can you try quitting the dropbox app and re-launching it (dropbox tray icon -> user icon in the top right -> quit; then re-launch Dropbox from the start menu)?
-
but have issues where he tries to open a pdf with adobe acrobat and gets an error @"theCollaborative" could you post more info about the error? Maybe a screenshot or the error text?
-
Hi @"skverskk", One way this can happen is if you have "Dropbox system extension" toggled off in the settings view on dropbox.com
-
Hi @"Gustavo Baer", Sync engineer here. It looks like the particular issue you're running into is one that we made some improvements for in v204 (currently in beta). That version will make it to the stable channel in a week or so. You can wait until then or try installing the beta build manually. Hopefully that will make…

Hi @"oreosmeow", can you try going into Dropbox preferences and changing the "Open Dropbox upon startup" slider to the right (instead of the left), and see if that fixes it?

> In macOS Settings -> General -> Storage, it (correctly) states 1.1TB of 2TB used, and shows 0.9TB available. One subtlety with the "Storage" view in macOS is that it doesn't count "evictable" items toward the used storage, despite them actually taking up space on disk. Evictable items are things that the OS can quickly…

Hi again, We've applied another fix here (many thanks to @"WileECoyote"!), which went out in v199 stable (and also v200 beta). Again, if you update and you're still seeing this issue - please reply here! Thanks!
-
Hi everyone, We've applied a couple fixes here, the latest of which went out in v198, but we're unsure if we've caught all the cases this can be happening in. If you update to that build and you're still able to reproduce the problem, please reply here! Any details you can add about what you were doing at the time you next…

To clarify, we weren't able to reproduce this internally, so it's a little uncertain what's going wrong - and that also means we weren't able to fully verify the fix. In my testing, system restores all worked fine (both before and after the fix). To answer your earlier question, we went thru the posts in this thread,…

Hi everyone, We're testing out some changes in v182 (currently in beta) that should hopefully help with this. Let us know if you continue to run into problems. Thanks

Hi @"Rob B.35", The error / help text here is _definitely_ unhelpful. It should just tell you that syncing special files (in this case, a unix domain socket I think) is not supported. We're working on fixing the error text. The actual underlying error here is that the item is not a regular file (or dir or symlink), and the…

Hi everyone, Let me try to level-set on what our understanding of the problem is and where we're at, solution-wise: * When migrating from an existing 12.3+ install of Dropbox to the new Dropbox for macOS, any files that were Online Only prior to the migration had a "com.apple.LaunchServices.OpenWith" xattr that stores a…
