happy to report that everything seems to working and syncing across all devices now.
-
@"Sam DBX" additional screenshots of issues.
-
@"Sam DBX" the workaround never worked for me either.
-
@"Sam DBX" this new build update isn't working for me. i rebooted, uninstalled/reinstalled a few times and the desktop app still isn't launching and won't allow signin. please advise.

@"Jay" @"Hannah" @"Megan" here's the latest screenshot. i have a strong internet connection to all my devices/computers and still the same behavior. any idea how this may be fixed?
-
for me, it didn't say "aborted" or anything. the last line is what was displayed and a bunch of * * * * * * * * * line after line.
-
no idea, that's the result of the trace. so it just disconnected?
-
no, i'm in the U.S. result attached.
-
it was all connected to this account, but I'm only able to login via website/mobile app and not on the desktop. it doesn't even open.
-
no to all. it was working perfectly fine until I noticed it wasn't syncing and couldn't open the desktop app over a week ago.
-
i restarted my laptop, yes and still unable to sign in and the desktop app still not opening. please advise.
-
the icon displayed again and here's what it's doing.
-
when i clicked on the icon, it was struggling to sync and continuously circling and wouldn't let me sign in. i accidentally clicked quit and it disappeared from the menu bar. when I clicked on preferences, the popup window displayed. please see screenshot.
-
one odd thing i noticed is the date of the application when it was installed today.
-
the advanced install failed for me also. same behavior: desktop app won't open and finder still not synced. attached is the screenshot of the dropbox icon in the finder menu bar. please advise. thank you.
-
got it. please also confirm that i don't have to delete all the existing dropbox folders in finder.
-
here's a screenshot of the finder menu bar. the dropbox icon was gray when it was pulled down when installed. since the uninstall, there is no icon.
-
i haven't reinstalled it or done an advance install after numerous failed attempts. just copy/paste the commands at the end of cursor? do I need to delete all the dropbox folders in finder before the advance reinstall?

I started noticing this issue about a week now. I noticed the mobile app, web, and desktop app wasn't syncing and finally the icon in the Finder is grayed out and finally the desktop icon wouldn't even open. there is no security app/antivirus installed on the laptop. the app won't open or display any info. I uninstalled it…
