Hi Rich, Thanks a lot. Very much appreciated. KR, Leo

I tried to follow instructions but, my dropbox account is very messy because of all the things I tried before. So, I want to leave it with this and clean up my account first. Then I will try to follow your suggestions again and come back here if I have further questions. Thanks for all the help any way. KR, Leo.

Sorry, I am not neglecting this topic, will come back to it tomorrow. KR, Leo.

I would like to know what I did wrong, so it will not happen again. KR, Leo.

Actually, I decided to send the folders by Swisstransfer. So did not try to replace anything. The renamed folders are empty in my Dropbox as well. In the middle of the page I am asked to put something in there to upload; which I do not understand by the way. I am not sure I understand the screenshots you want. I mentioned…

Dropbox Plus on a desktop PC. What I did: selected the subfolder > replace > Dropbox > New folder > named it with a number in front of the original name > okay. The subfolder showed in the line of all my folders in Dropbox. All the folders are empty. But....for whatever reason all the renamed folders, with the original…

I have enough space and gave enough time. I added a number before the name: 0 name subfolder
-
Forgot to mention: Before replacing them I renamed the subfolders. The renamed subfolders are empty.

Yes I did follow those steps. I did describe in an earlier post all the steps I made: settings > checked invited people > checked the could edit files etc. Then I clicked a button: add members. To my surprise I got a box saying we should buy Dropbox standard. Dropbox plus, which expires 27-05-2026.

A page on licenses, add-ons and special functions. I do have a Plus-license by the way.

Hi, My colleagues have signed in to a free Dropbox account. Next I started the set up to share files/folders with them. So I went to settings > checked invited people > checked the could edit files etc. Then I clicked a button: add members. To my surprise I got a box saying we should buy Dropbox standard. Unfortunately I…

Hi, Unfortunately I have forgotten to ask another question, related to the topic of filesharing with someone using a free Dropbox account. I, the owner of the main folder and a Dropbox Plus account, can give them permission to share files. Do they download the folder then to their own computer or do they work on it in the…

Thank you very much. Very clear answer. Kindest regards, Leo.

Thanks Dell_Dropbox and Rich. Dropbox is on my pc desktop computer. If I have understood well: working on files/folders in Dropbox they automatically sync on my other devices (i-Phone and i-Pad) with Dropbox. It is not possible to refresh files/folders, so I will lose colors etc. I use for files/folders on my pc. I found…

Thanks for your help. I think I understand it now. Kindest regards, Leo.

On the desktop of my PC I do not have a Dropbox folder. In my taskbar there is one. Are you saying I have to open that one, next open the container folder and make my changes in that folder. So I do not need the container folder that is sitting on my desktop anymore?
-
The original container folder is on my desktop, but I have uploaded it to Dropbox some time ago. Two days ago I have added a folder to the container folder on my desktop but it doesn't6 show in Dropbox. I checked just now and it is not showing on my i-Phone and i-Pad either. Thanks for your help.

Hi all, Since the problem has not changed, could some one pick this item up and help me resolve it. Yesterday I have added a folder to the container folder on my PC, nothing changed however in Dropbox. KR, Leo.
-
The container folder is named: pietclijsen1311.nl. In the first line of subfolders the '@' is used. Wonder if this could be the problem. KR, Leo.
-
Dropbox application is running. My update has the number: 227.4.4774

Sorry for my late response but I cannot work behind my computer everyday, unfortunately. I think I have followed all of your suggestions. This is how it is now: * I have added a folder in the container folder in Dropbox. * I can see the new folder in Dropbox on my i-phone and i-pad. * Nothing changed however in the…

Unfortunately it still didn't work. I upload the new folder into the container folder in Dropbox. It doesn't show in the same container folder on my desktop of the PC. KR, Leo.
-
Thanks Walter, for your quick response. I have used Dropbox on my PC in my browser. There are those boxes on top with: upload, make etc. Uploaded the new folder into the container folder for anything related to my website. My browser is Firefox and I don't want to use another one. Cache has been cleared and I have set…

Thanks. Solved.

Hi T, Thank you for the great advice. I was looking for that kind of information. Kr, Leo.
-
The folder uploaded fine. As far as I know I did not set Camera Uploads. I have to check the images in Photos. Thanks for your help.
-
Clicked Upload > folder > selected the folder on my D-drive.

Hi T, My main purpose is: organise all the stuff on my PC and then upload it to Dropbox, so I have it available all the time on my PC, i-Phone and i-Pad. Next, if possible, I would like to empty my PC's hard drive as much as possible so I have more space available for all of my projects. As you may have noticed I am trying…

So what sense does it make to backup files/folders as well? Not sure what you mean. How do I know the difference? What is the difference? I can only upload files/folders if I have a license for Dropbox, in my case Dropbox Plus.
