OK, so I have deleted a Dropbox accessed using "sign in with Google", giving it a computer generated password, then deleting it (Firefox supplied the password) Has that .gmail.com account gone now?

Only the .uk account has any files

There has been some confusion between a "sign in with Google" account and possibly another with the same email address buy uses password access. Might that be it? I am very confused 🙃

No, I only have 2 email addresses to use: this, my personal .uk address and the new gmail.com one.

I assumed that email needed to be a valid one so that Dropbox could contact me if necessary?

No, just this one. I don't have any other email addresses to use.
