Oh wonderful. Dropbox just put us through months of annoyance by removing the most important feature and making us fight to get it back and now as a reward they're upping the price by 60% "Dropbox Plus just got an upgrade. And a new price—starting on July 19, 2019, Dropbox Plus will be AU$16.99 a month (plus any applicable…

To those still complaining...it's already back! Just install the Beta version https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Desktop-client-builds/Beta-Build-73-3-94/m-p/343959#M5275

If you're dying to get the time left to sync back you can download and install the next Beta version. I just have and it's so nice to see time to sync back. You can get it here: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Desktop-client-builds/Beta-Build-73-3-94/m-p/343959#M5275

I was about to complain (again) about the upload time not being back, but then I thought about it and realised that there are probably some hard working and quite stressed coders working on getting the feature back in, so I just want to say thanks to those coders. I'm sure they'll get it back as soon as they can. I really…

@"jbh1" and everyone else. The other option is to upload via your browser. It will actually give you the time remaining. The main issue is with big files, if your upload drops out or fails, you'll be starting again, unlike the desktop version. Can't wait for this to be sorted. I also temporarily went to Sync, but had major…

Well I'm stunned. On the one hand, yes it's great that Dropbox actually seemed to have listened, it's coming back and maybe I'll get some sleep now, however, on the other hand, I can't believe this happened in the first place and that Dropbox have been so lax in dealing with the issue and the ridiculous amount of…

I have cancelled my dropbox subscription. They are not listening. They are not responding. It's just all so very uncool. So long and thanks for all the fish.

I've just installed the free version of Sync. So far so good - and wow, it gives me an estimate of how long my file will take to upload! What an amazing concept! I'll try it out today and if all is well, goodbye Dropbox. Thanks for the years and years of memories and me being a great customer. Sorry you had to stab me in…

Ok, this is just S**T. I'm uploading files to send to a sick friend. Every 5 minutes I go back to look. No, not uploaded yet...5 minutes later...nope, not yet...5 minutes later...nope, not yet....5 minutes later...nope, not yet... Do I have ANY VAGUE IDEA how long they will take? Nope Thanks a F***IN heap to whoever made…

Another day uploading a large file for a client. Another day I hover my cursor over the Dropbox icon, then remember I can no longer give them an estimate of when it will arrive. As a freelancer who works from home I now look just that bit less professional. Clients love to hear 'I don't know'.

From the Dropbox website: "Dropbox helps your team with tools that bring everyone’s work together in one focused place. Access and share files, coordinate projects with co-workers, and communicate right alongside everyone’s work." How are we expected to coordinate and communicate when such a vital piece of information is…

Following this thread has been very entertaining. There are a LOT of angry users just like me! I'm wondering if any of you Super Users can give us a hint as to why the feature was removed? Thanks
-
Ok, here's the workaround. Upload via the Dropbox website. If you do that then click on view details on the bottom of the page you will get a popup window which still has the remiaing time feature. Use it soon though, as I'm sure they'll remove it any day now. This totally defeats the purpose of having Dropbox as an app,…

@Mark. Thanks for your reply, explanation and for changing the topic heading.

Dear Dropbox, On behalf of the many many users who are complaining about the removal of the time remaining, or time left feature, I am requesting that you reinstate this feature in the next update. For so many of us, this was Dropbox's most integral feature. I urge anyone who is missing this feature to post a 'seconded'…

This is a feature that made me to decide to pay for the dropbox upgrade - every month - and use dropbox to send files to clients; then being able to give a client a rough estimate of when their files will arrive. My upload speeds are still in the dark ages at 1.6kbps, so I really need this feature. If a feature I pay for…
