Following up on this… I have the same problem. I am using DropBox 248.3.3539. Here is a shot of the ANNOYING popup: It comes up whenever I add a new reference to my library (it is the same thing that pops up when I left click on the DB icon).

It looks like the DB app died (maybe because the disk filled up?). I deleted some files off my disk and restarted DB. I then copied the recent files into the new DB folder, but after 10 minutes, they are still waiting to sync. The original folder is now on the desktop labeled as Dropbox, but it does not have the DB icon.
