What happens if you load a file? I'm not sure that window actually shows the quota.
-
I'd let it sit and see if it gets through. If not, maybe there is a file in there it is having issues with.
-
Hey @"jabubin", Have you tried reinstalling the Dropbox app?
-
I just dont understand how that is possible since there are US based companies that service the EU and store data in the US and other countries outside the EU.
-
Can you cite the specific rule that states that?
-
What is the GDPR rule that you are worried about @"fh1" that Dropbox doesn't fulfill?
-
Hey @"Howdy1", Are you on an Android or iPhone? If you are on an Android you can just cast your entire screen to a Chromecast.
-
@"Edo-B" So glad it worked! Glad it saved you some time and headache!
-
Hey @"Edo-B" Checkout this link to Wiki How . I think the archive option might be the best bet. Open your Google Account page. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/ in a web browser. This will open the Account Settings page for your Google Account if you're logged in.* If you aren't logged into your Google Account, click the…

Hi @"Grant W.1" So first and foremost, Dropbox is a sync solution, not a backup. When sync is turned on, it sync the local file to the cloud. If you delete the local file, it will also destroy the cloud copy. You can directly upload your files for storage using the web client https://www.dropbox.com/home and then that will…

@"jpadre" and @"papa1924" As @"Rich" said You need to follow the steps as listed in the Help Center, for personal accounts or for business accounts. Otherwise you'll need to contact Dropbox Support directly as this is a public forum and billing/account issues can not be handled here. Make sure to follow those steps to…

Hey @"lilbeedee" dont open the file. Just click the 3 dots before you click on the actual file. Then you will see the delete option.
-
Try going here https://www.dropbox.com/home and deleting the files directly.
-
Hey @"lilbeedee" Take a look at my screenshot below: You should see the delete option there after you click the 3 dots.
-
Hey @"lilbeedee", So you can't delete from the Preview, you have to do it in the "Timeline" view as you say from the Web Client.
-
Hey @"mjfrigaard", So you can type in Markdown in Paper. It will automatically convert it, but I don't think you are going to be able to actually edit the "code" in Paper if that makes sense. You can upload the .md files to Dropbox, but not open them in Paper (only .txt or .docx)

@"MikeHK", @"JokinAU"'s answer will work for Windows. If you want to do it on a Mac, checkout THIS ARTICLE. It should do exactly what you are looking for. Now if you want this to be automatic, you will need to setup some kind of script to run that command automatically. I wont have access to a Mac until later tonight, but…

Hey @"zombie" Yup! Syncing picks right back up! Basically, checks to see if any changes to files were made then syncs them. I shutdown my computer pretty often and have never had any issue with Dropbox picking up where it left off. If you are super concerned about currupted files or anything, just pause the sync before you…

Hey @"Sherwino" I have the same problem. I do the same thing as you, and I agree it is a pain. Especially with a hard day coding, that little Dropbox icon is working overtime. BUT, you can tell Dropbox to ignore the .git folder. http://www.dropboxwiki.com/tips-and-tricks/exclude-folders-from-syncing Yes it is a workaround,…
-
I would assume this could be done with the API, but that is going to require a lot of scripting. I don't think there is just a standard way. Sounds like a job for Google Sheets and a manual input.
-
Have you tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling?
-
The file is static when it is on dropbox. Excel only queries when it is actually open, so sitting in dropbox isn't the right solution. Excel won't auto update on its own, so you would almost need to write a web scraping script that updates the file locally on a schedule, then dropbox would sync the local file to the web,…

Are you on a phone or actual computer? If on a computer, try clearing your cache (press CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE for Windows) (COMMAND+SHIFT+DELETE for Apple) This will bring up a new menu where you can clear you cache.

Well, I would think you should be able to do it if you both have 1GB of space, but if you don't then I would think it would follow the same principle of shared folders, since shared folders eat up both the sharer and the person they shared it with's space.
-
From my understanding, you can't accept or have anything in your Dropbox that is larger than the space you have. For example, lets say as a basic user, you have 1gb of stuff in your Dropbox. Someone shares a folder that has 1.5gbs of stuff. You won't be able to accept that invite, since that is more than your space…
