Since we last talked, I have (1) made an extra copy. (2) sent a copy to iCloud, (3) started sending a copy to Dropbox. Apparently, it's still downloading. As to the method of downloading to Dropbox, I'm not sure, but it's very easy. By the way, the spreadsheet has four columns: (1) Number of songs (There are 187). (2) Name…

Hmm, I'm on the phone now, but I'll be back soon. 1:11 PM PST)

I FOUND IT!!! I made copies and even transferred it to Dropbox again; however, how do I keep it there? What do I do when I get another "warning" about expiration? Here's a piece of it. Well, I tried, but I couldn't paste even a tiny part of the spreadsheet. Anyway, I have it now and don't intend to lose it again. I hope…

Well, I can find the file, but I can't open it; however, there is a comment that I've seen many times over the years but never understood, and I have never been successful in getting answers from Dropbox. The comment is,"Your transfer expires in one day."I could never get an explanation for those words.

Thanks. I hope I I can find that page.

When Dropbox tells me that a file is going to expire, as it has many, many times over the years, what does that mean?
-
Thanks for your help, but I'll have to give up here, as I have done with Dropbox for many years. I guess I'll just have to move all my files in Dropbox to an easier/friendlier site. I started to do it before, but it was too big a job. Now, I have no choice. Maybe I'll pay someone to do it for me. (Sun April 27. 2025; 12:03…

Well, I've seen the same message many times over the years, but since I've always found it impossible to get answers from Dropbox, I didn't/couldn't receive any explanation. This time, I seem to be getting closer to answers to my questions. I would really like an operating manual for Dropbox. Is there such a thing?…

I still don't understand. When and why do my postings expire? I have seen such messages for years, but I usually am unable to contact Dropbox for an explanation; however, I think I have FINALLY found the place to find answers. Hallelujah! (4/27/25; 11:01 AM PST)

What's the difference between "thumb" and "1 like"?
-
I think that did the trick. I reduced the icons to 14 (Don't ask how many I had before), and that seems to have been all that was needed. Now I have Dropbox back again. Thanks.

Now that might be helpful. I may even have "Bartender" among my forgotten downloads. I'll check, because I have things in my Menu bar that I DON"T NEED OR WANT. (7/5/24)

The Dropbox icon reappeared in my Menu bar. The ****** with it! It now appears and disappears depending upon what's on my screen. It used to be there all the time, just like most of the other icons there, but I'm not going to bother with it anymore today. (Fri 7/5/24;12:59 PM)

Okay, I guess I'll have to use your suggestion to uninstall/reinstall Dropbox.
-
Maybe I'm wrong. Is the Dropbox icon supposed to STAY in the Menu bar?
-
That sounds like a great solution, one that even I can do. I'll try it. Thanks.
-
No, the Dropbox icon is not anywhere in my menu bar.

My Mac computer has Sonoma 14.5 installed, but I don't know how to determine the version of dropbox I'm using. More importantly, for now, I see that the text file I want to convert into a URL has already been downloaded int Dropbox. So, I now have two questions: (1) Where is my Dropbox icon, and why won't it stay in the…

I'm talking about some instructions that take up around 35 lines. That takes a lot of space; that's why I think that posting a link to those 35 lines would make more sense. The end goal is, of course, to share those instructions with the people who would be interested.
-
Apparently, you didn't receive my previous message. I said that I have been unable to upload my Dropbox link to Youtube; however, I also said that maybe I didn't understand your instructions. I THOUGHT you said the following: (1) Download the page (2) Copy the new link from the downloaded page. (3) Post this 2nd link to…
-
That gave me hope, but it didn't help. Maybe I didn't understand you. I thought you said to download it and then use the link shown in the downloaded file. I did that, but it didn't help. When I posted that link into YouTube and later tried to open it, here’s what I saw (I couldn't copy it, but this is what it said: The…

Don't expect to receive an answer from Dropbox, but I have found that such guides do exist, and I have now printed, but not yet read, two of them. Seehttps://www.google.com/search?client=opera&q=Does+Dropbox+have+a+user%27s+guide%3F&sourceid=opera&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 for more imformation You'd think that Dropbox could have…

I'm more confused than ever. My question has been answered with a question. Elsewhere, I'm asked if I need more support. More support? I haven't gotten ANY support. The support system for Dropbox users's is even worse than I had thought, and that was pretty bad. I had thought that my question was pretty simple, but let me…
