I can tell you that when I did it, I tried the offline installer. I even extracted the offline installer and tried the exes inside directly. Something is horrifically wrong with your installer for Windows 11 Pro.

I did something better than the advanced reinstall. I used Revo Uninstaller. Uninstalled Dropbox, removed all registry keys, removed all appdata. And as I had uninstalled and could not reinstall of course I couldn't show you what I saw when doing the update option as there is no update option without the program installed…
