Yes, this just worked for me as well, so they must have got this fixed.
-
Yeah, I recently upgraded to 2TB of storage from Google but I'm not quite ready to cut DropBox yet due to various features I've come to rely on. Unless this is resolved fairly quickly I might reconsider, though.

Aha, this is the relevant legislation: https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-data-protection/ico-codes-of-practice/age-appropriate-design-code/

I had a follow-up live chat to chase the response to my earlier email, and the response is now: Nicole: Please note that, we are currently working on having this issue fixed.Me: There seem to be a substantial number of users in the UK with this problem.Nicole: I kindly suggest for you to try again after a while.

I believe the law in question is the Online Safety Bill: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/child-online-safety-age-appropriate-content I don't know how making people provide a date of birth themselves which can just be a lie is going to help any children, but then you really can't rely on conservative governments to actually…

Yes, I would expect this to result in high volumes of contact with support. My current situation is that I've received the transcript of the chat and thus a ticket number, but no actual reply on the subject with anything substantive. I'm not a happy camper. Given that I've also got 2TB of storage with Google I'm seriously…

Here's the whole text of my live chat; it looks like the support team has been given inconsistent instructions as well. Chat transcript: ( 09:20:03 ) Visitor: Hello I cannot input my date of birth but am being told that I need to input my date of birth. ( 09:21:04 ) Rebecca: Hey there! Thank you for contacting Dropbox…

I'm on with a live support agent who is obviously aware of the situation and says they're taking it to email where they'll provide the next steps to resolve this; apparently I'll be able to supply DOBs for me and my partner at the same time and resolve the issue.

I checked with my friends and yes this only appears to affect Family users as none of them have had this message. I'm the only sucker paying for Dropbox for me and my 27-year-old partner.

I'm sick of this as well. I've tried logging in via an anonymous session so there are no cookies stored and there's just no way to provide my date of birth on log-in, or anywhere in the user settings. This is absolutely ridiculous. I've been using Dropbox continuously with this account since 2009, so the only way I could…

Thanks @"Daphne" . I've linked to this thread in my support request. The ticket number is #10509576

But, as an aside, my computer is now syncing 146k files and running like molasses in January, so thanks for that.

Hi @"Daphne", As expected, no changes upon downgrading to the current stable version.

Hiya, I have Dropbox version 95.3.425. Here is my setup: Left (primary) monitor, 4k resolution with 175% scaling. Right (secondary) monitor, 1080p resolution without scaling. They are in Extend mode. Dropbox won't pop up on Left unless I set scaling to 100%, at which point everything is too tiny to use. I overrode the…

I just obtained a 4K monitor and I have exactly the same issue. I've used the Windows compatibility scaling options and it has fixed the issue--after a fashion. The issue is that whenever I click the dropbox system tray icon, it pops up on my secondary monitor!
